Florida Healing Outpouring with Todd Bentley: 30 Reasons for Healing (16-30)

27 06 2008

First, Roy Fields is back!  Others leading has been moving, but there is something about him that changes the atmosphere.  Roy, welcome back.  Second if you are in Lakeland Fl on the 4th of July there will be free food. From 4-7pm, next Friday there be a celebration with free food.  This will also lead into a water Baptism service.  I am just thrilled for both of these events.  The first shows a desire to reach out to  host community and give back to those who have given so much.  As important, the second is another example of how Fresh Fire and Ignited are taking care and shepherding those who are making profession of faith under their leadership.

Another fun fact, there is now a medical doctor who is reviewing all the medical reports about healing.  The desire for accountability and integrity is great in Lakeland.   One of the assistants said there is a four step process for those who take the stage professing healing
1 Pastor volunteers from around the world, screen and test, those who claim to have received healing
2 This is then relayed to those who bring the person on stage, to ensure what is shared is consistent
3 After they are on the platform, a survey is filled out with symptoms, sign of healing and contacts.
4 FOLLOW UP!  1-2 weeks a phone call is made to see how they are doing.

Just some random quotes form Todd Bentley… he really does use the name of Jesus.
(This is just a sample, to show who the glory goes to)

“We are encouraging people to see doctors after healings.  I believe in medicine”
“It is the power of Jesus.  We are powerless without the power of the Holy Ghost
“Can we give thanks to Jesus for this.”
“We want to give all we can, leally, to the media to give the glory to Jesus.”
“We give all the glory to Jesus”
“Can we give Jesus all the glory tonight?”
while praying for healing, “Two new ankles in Jesus mighty name”

30 Reasons for Healings #16-30 (all verses NIV)

16. He does what he pleases – God is sovereign and healing happens because God chooses too.
17. Charitable Giving- (whole chapters but verses) Acts 9: 36 In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which, when translated, is Dorcas), who was always doing good and helping the poor  and Acts10:2 He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly.  Based on these verses miracles happens as a direct result of charitable giving.  It would seem that when we take care of the pour, God reaches and extra measure of the miracles.
18. The Gospel – Mark 16:19-20 He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly.    Healing is good news and,  according to Todd, the Gospel is the power of God as well as the message of salvation
19.  I am a friend of God’s – John 15:15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.  God hears the prayers of His friends.  What do you do for your “true” friends?  The deeper the intimacy with God, the deeper the friendship. Is God your friend, because there seems to be many who understand Jehovah but do not understand Abba.  Abba, is the characteristic of a deep personal relationship.
20. The Glory of God –  John 11:4 When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.”
21. The cures of the Law – Romans 8:2  because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. Healings show that you free from the law of sin and death.
22. Desperation: Mark 5:27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak,  Sometime people need a touch so bad they push trough to get it.  “if only this small amount”  They are the ones who are desperate enough to reach out and get healed

23.  Connection locked up

24. Name of God – Exodus 15:26 He said, “If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you.”

25. Communion – 1 Corinthians 11:29-30 For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself. 30That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.  This would seem to be a reason why you are not, but if it bring sickness maybe it bring healing (my thought on it, time was short so the last were real quick)

26.  Gift of the Spirit- There was no verse give to justify this, but 1 Corinthians12:9-109to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues,[a] and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

27. The name of Jesus – Triune God, Jesus is God see #24

28.   The nature of the Holy Spirit – God creates when the Holy Spirit the Holy Spirit moves.  It was after Genesis 1:2 Now the earth was [a] formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. That God said, “Let there be light.”  IF the Spirit lives with us, then he is moving, we should expect creation (new body parts is creation).
29. I am Saved – James 5:15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.  Faith is a gift of the Spirit and only saved people have this.  So salvation, brings faith, faith brings healing.  And, yes because Jesus forgave my sins.
30. Kingdom of God- Mathew 6:10 Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  There is no sickness in the Kingdom, God preformes creation in His kingdom, there are miricals in the Kingdom, let it be so here

These are the second half of the 30 reasons, each with scripture refrances.  People you may not like Todd Bentley, but please be careful arguing against the word of God.  For those around Todd, let him know I said “thanks for the teaching, it has meant a lot to me.”

On a personal note:  I blew out my knee today, while walking down some stairs.  It hurt to move or even put pressure on it.  Tonight, during the broadcast, I WAS HEALED.  Proof of this, I wrote this whole blog standing up.

the Lakeland critics   seem to be led by the devil..

Beware always of men and women, bullies, tormentors, control freaks,  persons, civil and public servants,  politicians, pastors, leaders, elders, who falsely do, will try to enslave you, oppress you, exploit you even while they claim they are proclaiming the truth, democracy, trying to help you, etc.,

Is 51:23 ..your tormentors {and} oppressors, those who said to you, Bow down, that we may ride {or} tread over you; and you have made your back like the ground and like the street for them to pass over.

Jews and their own need of Salvation by Jesus Christ still too

All Israel Shall Be Saved?

by Steve Wohlberg

Romans 11:26 says, “And so all Israel will be saved.” What does this mean?

Obviously, it doesn’t mean every Jew will be saved. In fact, the same chapter says God hopes to “save some of them” (vs. 14). Judas was a Jew, yet we know he will be lost for betraying Christ. Jesus called him, “the son of perdition” (John 17:12). Jesus told many Jews, “If you do not believe I am He [the Messiah], you will die in your sins” (John 8:24). Not every Jew believes in Jesus Christ, thus many will “die in their sins” and be lost.

Many Christians today interpret Romans 11:26 as applying to the end of the seven-year tribulation when Jesus appears in the clouds at His Second Coming. In other words, they don’t apply the verse to all Jews throughout history, but only to “all Jews” who are alive at the end. Supposedly, at the end of the tribulation, all remaining Jews in Israel will look up, see Christ coming in the clouds, realize He is the true Messiah, believe in Him, and thus “All Israel will be saved.”

This is a false teaching, as I will attempt to show.

  1. First, the context of Romans 11 is not the Second Coming.
  2. “There is no partiality with God” (Romans 2:5-11). It would be an act of partiality to save “all Jews” at the end, but not “all Jews” in history. The idea is, “When all final Jews see Christ coming in the clouds, then they will believe.” But this would give those final Jews a supposedly irresistible opportunity to believe in Jesus Christ which past Jews have not had. Nor would this be fair to “all Gentiles” living at the end. Why would God save all Jews at the end but not all Gentiles? All Gentiles will see Jesus coming just like all Jews.
  3. When Christ finally appears in the clouds, IT’S TOO LATE TO BELIEVE IN HIM. Rev. 22:11,12 says that before He comes in the clouds, all decisions have already been made. Jesus said it will be like Noah’s day (Mat. 24:37-39). In Noah’s day the door of the ark closed before the flood came (Gen. 7:16). When the flood came, it was too late. To save all Jews AT THE SECOND COMING would be like saving all those outside the ark WHEN THE RAIN STARTED FALLING.
  4. When Jesus comes in the clouds, this is the time of judgment upon ALL unbelievers who don’t know God nor obey the gospel (2 Thess. 1:7-10; Jude 14,15).

So what does this mean, “All Israel shall be saved”? First of all, Romans 9:6 says there are two Israels. one is an Israel according to the flesh (Romans 9:3,4) and the other is the Israel of God (Galatians 6:14-16). The Israel of God is composed of both Jews and Gentiles who believe in Jesus Christ (Gal. 3:29). Gentiles who believe are grafted in. They become part of the “same body” with believing Jews (Eph. 3:6). Paul calls this unity of believing Jews and Gentiles, “the mystery of Christ” (Eph. 3:4).

The immediate context of Romans 11:26 is vs. 25. When “the fullness of the Gentiles has come in,” then “all Israel will be saved.” Or, to be exact, “And so all Israel will be saved.” In other words, the coming in of the fullness or total number of the Gentiles results in “all Israel” being saved. Paul’s idea seems to be that when all Gentiles (totally, throughout history) have come in, that is, have been grafted into the Vine, they, uniting with all Jews who have become believers, will form the total number of the saved. Paul also reveals that when Gentiles come in, God can use this to motivate some Jews to believe (verses 11 & 14). Vs. 25 calls this whole thing, “this mystery,” which we have already proven to be the “mystery” of both Jews and Gentiles being united in one body through Christ (Eph. 3:4,6). Vs. 27 says all are saved because Christ takes away their sins through His covenant, which must be the New Covenant, which applies to all believers, Jew and Gentile. Thus the “all Israel” that is saved is the total group of believing Gentiles and Jews combined.

The “all Israel that is saved” does not apply to all Jews throughout history, nor can it apply to a select favored group who become instant believers when Jesus Christ comes crashing down through the sky. By that time, it is too late to believe.

No Hidden Agenda

Don’t make the mistake thinking, believing that all of these supposedly professing Christian Internet  sites have no hidden agenda, or that they are fair, honest, and they do allow everyone to talk openly freely on the posted subject now too, or the rather too often the posted lies and distortions. Best way to catch a sucker is with live, good looking bait still too. For in reality too often the right of FREE SPEECH that right still that is not so for all of us. Not on the all of the  professing Christians sites now as well..
..
Speaking of hidden agendas. And what are some common examples of them? Promotion of self? Promotion of pet theology? Basing others to make oneself feel better hopefully? Working for the devil? etc.,

“Pride and humility are two of the most basic distinguishing characteristics between the true and the false.” http://72.14.253.104/search?q=cache:mzLW88CKXgYJ:www.elijahlist.com/words/display_word/5039+Elijah+list+Rick+Joyner

BUT FOR SURE YOU CAN FIRST  ADD TO THAT  “the real love of others” or rather too often it’s lack of thereof?

>>”I firmly believe that Latter Rainers like Wagner, Bentley, et al all subscribe to the idea that Christ will return in Spirit only which in essence denies his incarnation identifying them as antichrist.” http://endtimespropheticwords.wordpress.com/2008/06/27/rick-joyner-the-apostle-paul-and-the-antichrist/

DO NOTE  HERE ABOVE WAS A GOOD EXAMPLE OF HOW THE AUTHOR  HAD FALSELY DESIGNATED HIS OPINION AS BEING THAT OF HIS OPPONENTS.. but the author did not mention if  he had contacted the person he was talking with firstly before as well, or of he had sent to him a copy of the DISSECTION now too? To be fair, and decent about it all too.

still such  unsubstantiated false presuppositions statement of his  now destroys any creditability he  may want us too believe he now has firstly too!!

Before anyone tries to bash  EVEN the Pentecostals still..

TELL ME HOW LONG THEY HAVE BEEN GOING TO A PENTECOSTAL CHURCH FIRSTLY ? FOR HOW MANY YEARS TOO?

IF YOU HAD READ MY POSTS YOU WOULD HAVE ALSO KNOWN I ALREADY HAVE SAID THERE ARE TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY.. THE TRUTH AND THE DISTORTION..

Like I have said…Now too often I myself also do not agree with the comments, free speech, but I merely tend to disregard it it next..

but what I do rightfully oppose still any and all free speech especially on the so called Christian Churches Internet sites, that is lying, slanderous, insulting, abusive, bullying, bashing.. such as the false bash of Pentecostals by the Brethren, Baptists, Reformed, etc., haters. Or the supposedly evangelical Baptist pastor who had said in the pulpit that he could not understand what Hitler did that was so bad, I helped to fire him , he now sells life insurance instead..

So many Churches, sites claim to be the sole Christian truth now these days, they are using the same Bible too, they even claim they are non denominational Christians, but they do still preach a different Jesus, a different Bible, a different sound too.. and their theology is easily identifiable too clearly as dispensationalist, Baptist or Brethren as well.. and not honestly a non denominational one as they had claimed to all even this listed site included now.. are guilty of deciet. I firmly and rightfully do believe that all of these Pentecostals bashers, bullies, do know of God, but they personally still do not know Him.

In love the Pentecostal bashers, critics under disguise of supposedly posting the truth, who mostly still do use the same unoriginal, ungodly, lame-brained, fool’s types of arguments, are not only clearly dishonest, uninspired, boring but they do also mostly have a personal agenda that is so transparent that sadly they are a basic embarrassment, their agenda clear involves the fact want to uplift themselves, their own gospel, sect, denomination mostly still as well. In love they should really read and practice the whole Bible firstly themselves.

http://christiantheology.wordpress.com/2008/06/28/god-said-to-me/ When people attempt to subjectively add to that word, by saying God said this or God told me that, they may be in danger of becoming false prophets? So are also many of the poeople who deny that God had spoken to the others.. all as simple as that too..

God speaks to us through many ways.. He speaks through his words, the Bible, through his holy spirit, through pastors, through others, through other means.. but no matter how God now speaks to us we all do need to be the ones open to hear him and to also to obey him in what he says, plus to continually seek Him continuously and to seek His way. Whether he speaks in a still small voice, or in a a loud external voice, he still speaks to us all today.. By the way I can tell the difference between God is speaking to me, the Holy Spirit is speaking to me and Jesus speaking to me too, or the devil, or my own thoughts, and can we all ?

Clearly one of the unique, great, valid emphasis of the Pentecostals from the other denominations is also their emphasis on personally hearing God speak. even personally and collectively speaking to us, verbally individually or in a collective setting by prophecy.

For a complete discussion on the Voice of the Lord, see My Sheep Hear My Voice.  We all must strive unto perfection unto Holiness but the truth in Christ is we can never be free from sin totally here on earth, for we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the power in us may be manifested as coming from God and not from us, http://pbulow.tripod.com/voice.html  http://www.hallvworthington.com/teacher.html

Just cause God chose not to speak to you does not mean he God does not speak to others still too.  Sadly also everyone not only does not practice what they preach to others, and/or claims to be preaching the Gospel, using the same Bible, rather is tends to be the Gospel, the Bible according to them too often and not the one according to the Holy Spirit. We all now still should really get back to the Bible personally, and stop listening to mere men, and learn to listen to God and his Holy spirit

still the unsubstantiated false presuppositions, distortions, false accusations of the accuser of the brethren , the Devil himself destroys any creditability he may want us too believe that he has firstly

LOVE, Meekness and Humility: God’s Cure for Pride, Arrogance and Haughtiness.

The other day someone had written and said that Christians should be in one accord based on doctrines and truths.. God says it should be rather one accord in prayer and love..

Doctrines rather too often still are a false excuse to divorce, not to fellowship with another Christian brother for whom I still really have no love for myself and rather than deal with myself and admit the reality, I deny it by divorcing him or her…

(Gal 5:24 KJV) And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

and you can include those too often common now still ungodly, unholy doctrinal, denominational wars in the churches and on the internet now too.

There is a false holiness. It looks like the real thing, but the more you look into it, you see the error… and there is also a false Christian profession too, false submissions, false assertiveness or aggressiveness, not just false preaching, even a false Jesus Christ that is being worshipped, one that is not the Jesus Christ of the Bible.. some people even still do preach out of guilt, shame, ambition and not out of love. Preaching is not an acceptable alternative to living the Bible daily oneself.

Like I have said many a times too sadly still, one mistake by a Catholic, Pentecostal, Charismatic preacher and it is undeniable, clearly seems even on the net too that the other professing Christians are quick and ready to kill the wounded, to even bury them with further lies, distortions, slanders.. and what ever! The reaction of these still rather other bad guys is quite revealing, it firstly shows they have no love themselves too. That kind of approach won’t do much for the critics’ own positive feeling of personal self worth, self esteem too. They clearly must really hate themselves next for doing so as well. So what happened to the Biblical instruction of personally showing love, staying humble, meek too?

>>Spurgeon on the Christian Soldier’s Great Love

I am honest enough to admit that I do  have a problem with Spurgeon, how could this man of God who said he loves God, others supossedly, he  himself was not be able to stop smoking cigars now?

(Gal 6:1 KJV) Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

(Mat 5:5 KJV) Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

(Mat 11:29 KJV) Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

http://beyondfaith.wordpress.com/2008/06/30/for-fun-and-prophet/    “It is possible that God could grant anyone today the gift of prophecy; He is God and can do whatever He deems needed for mankind. With that being said, it is very unlikely that He does so though.” .. and this is absolute absurd Bible reinterpreation now  still too..

(Mat 10:41 KJV)  He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.

Libel

Canada’s  Supreme Court throws out libel case against outspoken B.C. talk show host   VANCOUVER — The country’s top court has absolved former Vancouver radio personality Rafe Mair of defamation for a commentary.   The Supreme Court of Canada decision in the defamation suit also broadened a key defence often used by journalists to ward off libel actions. In a 9-0 judgment Friday, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled that Mair was engaging in fair comment in the 1999 radio editorial that was critical of Kari Simpson, a high-profile player in a campaign opposing the use of teaching materials about gay lifestyles in local schools. In the course of the editorial, the controversial former radio commentator made references to the Klan, Hitler and skinheads, although he claimed he wasn’t saying that Simpson actually advocated violence against gays. The judge went on, however, to say that Mair wasn’t liable for damages because he held an honest belief in the views he expressed – one of the traditional elements in the legal defence long known as fair comment. The Supreme Court, in Friday’s judgment   went on to rewrite the legal test for such a defence.  There was no proof that Mair’s dominant motive was personal malice,   and thus “his expression of opinion, however, exaggerated, was protected by the law. “We live in a free country where people have as much right to express outrageous and ridiculous opinions as moderate ones.” A key component of the fair comment defence has long been that the person making the comment must sincerely believe in it. In the course of the ruling, however, the high court modified that test. Commentary must still have a factual basis, be made without malice and be in the public interest, said Binnie. But the test of honest belief is not whether the specific person holding the opinion believed it. The yardstick is whether any person might honestly hold the view based on the facts at issue. Binnie acknowledged that is “not a high threshold” for any defendant to met. But neither is it appropriate to rule out “a piece of devil’s advocacy” in any debate on a matter of public importance.  Mair, who no longer works at the station, said he’s glad they took the case to the high court. “This could be a enormous benefit to the journalism industry and therefore, to the people that read and watch it,” Mair said in Vancouver. http://canadianpress.google.com/article/ALeqM5jdP5CRF6hm0H_fuYFL_m6d_jI7GQ

Too many people  still do believe in their own sole right of free speech still but they  do next try to deny these same right of others by even threatening to sue them for libel, slander.. sound Familiar Mr Stephen Harper PM of Canada? or Bell Sympatico? or the Toronto Airport Fellowship Church pastors? Benny Hynn? etc.,’

The pastors of the Toronto airport fellowship Church and many other pastors, Christians groups on the net  had asked me in writing not to write to them, and what they can preach about the sins of others but I can’t do that to them? What hypocrisy on their parts now still too.  Even in the churches, evangelical pastoral sections there are much too many really bad unacceptable apples still out there. Too often now our personal rights in this country are now slowly being forcibly demanded to ne sidetracked to accommodate others wishes … Imagine what Canada would be like if any of the church pastors, government forcibly told the citizens, the columnists, editors, commentators what they could and could not publish. Imagine if we had something like a Ministry of Truth, a Ministry of the Media, a Ministry of Thought. If that doesn’t scare you then you rightfully  scare me. These bullying groups appear to be using any angle within the law, courts,  or their influence to try and become our ’superiors’ in some way. It’s about time that truths that are unpalatable to certain sections of our society be allowed to be expressed. We live in a free country, with the right to freedom of expression and speech. Telling the facts does not constitute a ‘hate’ crime now as well. Only those people who want to curtail or own freedoms while they use theirs  would call this a hate crime. If these various groups or people cannot tolerate anyone’s free speech, or debate, why in the world are they living in the west?  If you don’t like the freedoms that are enjoyed by ALL citizens here, then go live in a country where theirs and your freedom  now is denied.  Without freedom of speech, and the freedom of the press we can no longer claim to be a democratic country. No one has the right to stifle the free dispensing of valuable information. Not even Evangelical pastors.  We must all be be vigilant against any attempts of demonic enslavement of us and the  false hindrances of our own rights.  “Those that try to silence honest, open, and free speech are a danger to this country. I hold that to be true. “

Now in Canada even  I am very used to people the much too many Bullies who  try to falsely dominate you, and these bullies go overboard in their reactions when you expose the truth about them and others  especially when their pet idols, or careers are threatened.  Me I am still rightfully actively resistant  to all of the  abusers, bullies, liars, even to the Church, GOVERNMENTAL, CORPORATE, POLICE  oppressions still too. Even those persons who falsely try to send lawyers or the police to my home to harass me, to try to intimidate me, to shut me up. I clearly do believe in the right of everyone to speak, to speak out as well,  and to be equally heard by all, so we can all judge what has been said if it is appropriate and we can next corresponding act upon it, even in the church, in the government, on the Internet now too. Clearly some people falsely DO DISALLOW THIS RIGHT… the bad persons especially as even I know this for sure. They respond with a personal attack, inquisition, censorship, lies, slanders, diversions, distortions, instead of facing, dealing with the facts, truths being presented. Confirming to many what they still are really like, immoral, abusive bullies.

Mind you the same radio station did not like all the bad publicity they got and the radio personality next lost his job anyway.

Anyway all Christians are governed by higher laws even that of showing  love to others, meekness too, humility and purity too… not just whether they can be sued for libel, slander..

Now too often I myself also do not agree with the comments,  free speech, but I merely  tend to disregard it it next..

and even here now we all do still have 2 alternatives.. we can post our rebuttal, objections on their Internet site our ours

or next even take the matter  further to the news media, or  before the provincial Human Right Commissions, and others too..

not all justice is handled in the courts of Law or by a lawsuit.

(1 Cor 14:39 KJV)  Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.

(1 Cor 14:40 KJV)  Let all things be done decently and in order.

Sadly  everyone not only does not practice what they preach to others, and/or claims to be preaching the Gospel, using the same Bible, rather is tends to be the Gospel, the Bible according to them too often and not the one according to the Holy Spirit. We all now still should really get back to the Bible personally, and stop listening to mere men, and learn to listen to God and his Holy spirit.

“Some people want to please self first and everybody else comes somewhere down the line. Other people will do first what other people want of them. The rule followed by the truly meek and humble person is: God first, others second, self last.

Distorted Half truths do not cut it with me still as well.. there is still such as thing as rebellious, non submissive, or overly submissive, false submission and most people practice one or the another .. not the balanced of mutual submission in Christian Relationship. I become all things only to win other men to Christ  not to Lord over them rather… I do not forget still my responsibilities to myself, and my family.

(1 Tim 5:8 KJV)  But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

(Hab 2:18 KJV)  What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?

(Mat 16:26 KJV)  For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

(Mat 16:27 KJV)  For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

(Mat 13:43 KJV)  Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

(Mat 13:44 KJV)  Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

(Mat 16:24 KJV)  Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 25  For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. 26  For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 27   For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. 28  Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.

(Mat 18:15 KJV)  Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. 16  But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. 17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as a heathen man and a publican. 18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 17  Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.20  For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

(Rev 13:9 KJV)  If any man have an ear, let him hear.

(Rev 22:11 KJV)  He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

(Rev 22:17 KJV)  And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

(Mat 11:15 KJV)  He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. 16  But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows, 17   And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.

Florida Healing Outpouring with Todd Bentley: 30 Reasons for Healing (16-30) »

Matthew 5:5 (NKJV) Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.

I am sure the devil does not like, he rather hates  these posts still too.. and his followers.

Yes, Love and next “Pride and humility are two of the most basic distinguishing characteristics between the true and the false.”

and still the unsubstantiated false presuppositions, distortions, false accusations   of the accuser of the brethren , the Devil himself destroys any creditability he may want us too believe that he has firstly

LOVE, Meekness and Humility: God’s Cure for Pride, Arrogance and Haughtiness.

James.  1:19–21. Know this, my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger, for the anger of man does not work the righteousness of God. Therefore put away all filthiness and rank growth of wickedness and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

Galatians 6:1–2. Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of meekness. Look to yourself, lest you too be tempted.

Numbers 12:3 (KJV ) tells us that “… Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.”   Moses asked, “Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” (Exod. 3:11, NIV) As a lowly shepherd, he did not feel prepared to negotiate with the ruler of a powerful country. He had been humbled by his years in Midian.  In fact, Jesus’ humility and burden far surpassed even those of Moses. As we read in Phil. 2:6-8, Jesus “being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-even death on a cross!” In addition to showing the utmost humility on the cross, our Savior bore the heaviest burden of all the sins of mankind. The prophet Isaiah was inspired to write that God’s Servant, the Messiah,  “took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted” (Isa. 53:4).  Now do consider Jesus Christ, the second person of the triune Godhead, the eternal Son, the Word through Whom God made the heavens and the earth. In entering our world He made Himself nothing, He took on the nature of a servant, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death (Phil 2:6f). On Palm Sunday He came into Jerusalem “gentle and riding on a donkey” (Mt 21:5). What’s more, Christ took up His cross and carried it (John 19:17). He didn’t have to be dragged to Calvary. And, when He died on the cross He yielded everything. Remember what He said? (Mt 11:28-29) “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (29) Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

(Num 12:1 KJV)  And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.  2  And they said, Hath the LORD indeed spoken only by Moses? hath he not spoken also by us? And the LORD heard it. 3  (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.) 4  And the LORD spake suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam, Come out ye three unto the tabernacle of the congregation. And they three came out. 5  And the LORD came down in the pillar of the cloud, and stood in the door of the tabernacle, and called Aaron and Miriam: and they both came forth. 6  And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. 7  My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. 8  With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses? 9  And the anger of the LORD was kindled against them; and he departed. 10  And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and, behold, Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and, behold, she was leprous. 11  And Aaron said unto Moses, Alas, my lord, I beseech thee, lay not the sin upon us, wherein we have done foolishly, and wherein we have sinned. 12  Let her not be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother’s womb. 13  And Moses cried unto the LORD, saying, Heal her now, O God, I beseech thee. 14  And the LORD said unto Moses, If her father had but spit in her face, should she not be ashamed seven days? let her be shut out from the camp seven days, and after that let her be received in again. 15  And Miriam was shut out from the camp seven days: and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.

Galatians 5:22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.24  And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26  Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. 6:1  Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Moses’ “meekness” involved a profound humility with which he bore a daunting responsibility. Even more importantly, the meekness of this servant of God (Num. 12:7) points forward to the meekness of Jesus, God’s greatest Servant of all. We are grateful for their examples as we ALL MUST SEEK TO strive to follow in their footsteps. “But the fruit of the Spirit is … gentleness.. meeknes.” Is this Godly fruit to be found always now in your life and my life?

(Mat 5:16 KJV)  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.  17  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Psalm 37:11. It says, “The meek shall possess the land, and delight themselves in abundant prosperity.” In the Greek Old Testament the words of Psalm 37:11 are almost identical with Matthew 5:5. It says, “The meek shall inherit the land.” And the word for “land” in Greek and Hebrew also means “earth.”

(1 Pet 3:10 KJV)  For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:  11  Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.  12  For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.  13  And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good?  14  But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;  15  But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 16  Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.  17  For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

(Psalm 37:8 KJV)  Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. 9  For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.  10  For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. 11  But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. 12  The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.  13  The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.  14  The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.  15  Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken. 16  A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.  17  For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.  18  The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.  19  They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. 20  But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away. 21  The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous showeth mercy, and giveth. 22  For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. 23  The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.  24  Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. 25  I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread. 26  He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed. 27  Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. 28  For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. 29  The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever. 30  The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. 31  The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide. 32  The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. 33  The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged. 34  Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. 35  I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree. 36  Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found. 37  Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. 38  But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

Some people want to please self first and everybody else comes somewhere down the line.

In One Accord

The other day someone had written and said that Christians should be in one accord based on doctrines and truths.. God says it should be rather one accord in prayer and love..

Doctrines rather too often still are a false excuse to divorce, not to fellowship with another Christian  brother for whom I still really have no love for myself  and rather than deal with myself and admit the reality, I deny it by divorcing him or her…

(Acts 1:14 KJV)  These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

(Phil 4:6 KJV)  Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9  Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

“The Burnt Offering Altar was the first item to be seen after entering through the Door into the Tabernacle’s Outer Court. It was an impressive construction: made from acacia wood overlaid with bronze, it stood 1.4 metres high and 2.3 metres wide and broad (square).” It was an immediate reminder of the daily need of everyone to confess and to repent of their sins.

(Gal 5:24 KJV)  And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

and you can include those too often common now still ungodly, unholy doctrinal, denominational wars in the churches and on the internet now too.

(Psa 92:12) The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 13  Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; 15 To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

(Gal 6:14 KJV)  But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

I have no problem with a women preaching if she has her husband’s permission to do so, after all an apostle still exists today, elders, and they have included women  still too.. such as Junia noteworthy of the apostles.. we all know that the term apostles means missionaries, and missionaries for sure exist today, women one’s as well.

(Gal 6:1 KJV)  Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

(Mat 5:5 KJV)  Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

(Mat 11:29 KJV)  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
(Mat 21:5 KJV)  Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.(1 Pet 3:4 KJV)  But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

(Heb 10:24 KJV)  And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

(Heb 12:3 KJV)  For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

(Rom 12:20 KJV)  Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

(Prov 24:17 KJV)  Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: 18  Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.

(Col 2:9 KJV)  For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

(Col 2:10 KJV)  And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

You are complete only in Him too, IN JESUS CHRIST ALONE, AND NOT IN YOUR FLESH… or in others.

All of our souls are in great danger of being swallowed by this formidable tide of apostasy and corruption, which is devastating the Church, churches  and never mind  the world because many people have submitted to the lusts of their carnal flesh, as well to the call of the devil and the world undeniably. THEY HAVE NOT EVEN DIED TO THEIR FLESH YET..

Two of my continual shocks in life the last 5 decades amongst many others now too now are as to how many evangelical pastors now basically are still ungodly and how come they wrongfully do not repent of this?

Secondly in the last 5 decades 50 percent of once loudly professing evangelical Christians undeniably depart by their own choice from the faith even admittedly

I am of the opinion that many people look at past Christian History to overcome the God shaped vacuum they presently do have in their life too.. and there are many reasons now even for this –  them specifically not being led today  by the Holy Spirit.. even that they are rather doing their own thing, or they are in deliberate willful sins, or they are pride, or they are abusing others or their spouse even by cheating, lying to and stealing from them, amongst many other reasons. I like what I had read years ago.. God has not moved! Did you?

I admit I was in shock, in anger about 3 decades ago when for the first time some one said God can talk directly to you personally, I found that initially unbelievable, even as to why I had not heard him before.. too busy talking and not quietly listening to him firstly too.

Ever notice how so many professing Christians do a lot of talking, but rarely quote any Bible verses in reality, seems they too still want to still hear themselves do all the talking and not God rather. It is only God’s words that makes quickens, postive changes in the lives of others, not mostly our words.

(Rom 6:6 KJV)  Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

(1 Cor 1:23 KJV)  But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

(1 Cor 2:2 KJV)  For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

(1 Cor 2:8 KJV)  Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

(2 Cor 13:4 KJV)  For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.

(Gal 2:20 KJV)  I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Jungle fighters

Sadly some people cannot see the error of their ways and yet they want to lead others into supposedly the truth but this is not new..

Clearly they are still  are looking for a fight even with their  distorted version of the Bible.. http://charismania.wordpress.com/2008/06/19/the-smiths-todd-bentley-and-one-moment-in-time-christianity/ the gospel according to them, not the one according to Jesus Christ now too.

(Jer 8:8 KJV)  How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain. 9   The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?

People start fights for all kind of reasons as I have many times indicated too, EVEN ON THE NET, THEY ARE  FIRSTLY BULLIES, BASHERS, UNHAPPY WITH THEMSELVES, AND HAVE A GOD SHAPED VACUUM STILL.. or they are merely the blind leading the blind.. they need to see the real light still OF Jesus Christ clearly

(Job 2:2 KJV)  And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

(Psa 121:1 KJV)   I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.(Eccl 1:7 KJV)  All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.

(Isa 39:3 KJV)  Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon.

(Mat 12:44 KJV)  Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45  Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

(Mat 7:3 KJV)  And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4  Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5   Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye. 6  Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

(Mat 13:27 KJV)  So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?  28    He said unto them, An enemy hath done this.

(Phil 3:20 KJV)  For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

(Heb 11:15 KJV)  And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.

(James 4:1 KJV)  From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? (Rev 2:5 KJV)  Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.   (Gal 1:8 KJV)  But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.(1 John 1:3 KJV)  That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

(2 John 1:5 KJV)  And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

As to the revival going on in Lakeland, Florida

Many people in the Body have raised many questions about the validity of the revival going on in Lakeland, Florida. Many opinions are flying, yet few people are openly interacting about the topics in question. Perhaps it is time to handle some of these questions directly. The following is a letter from Todd Bentley and the Fresh Fire team, “Bringing Biblical Light to Your Questions about the Lakeland Outpouring & Todd Bentley” It answers many of the critiques of the revival. (Very unlikely the critics have their own agenda it seems, promoting themselves, their own church and denominations)

June 8, 2008

Dear Friends,

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and for hearing my heart on some of the issues that seems to be causing division and some confusion in the Body of Christ. Throughout the Old and New Testaments and in every age following, as far as I can determine, the Lord has given His people dreams and visions, signs and wonders, heavenly encounters and divine supernatural experiences that, for the most part, we cannot understand with our intellect. In the spiritual realm, God isn’t limited by our thinking!

God’s ways of communicating with us hasn’t changed from the beginning of time, although the Bible is the mainstay of His communication to us in today’s Church. Sometimes pictures say a lot, though, and the Lord does speak to us through visions and dreams, just as He spoke that way to the people of ancient days and just as He has promised us that He would in the Last Days. God says, “I am the LORD, I change not” (Malachi 3:6).

Whenever God pours out His Spirit, dreams and visions become integral to the move of God and are especially a Last Days phenomena according to Joel 2:28 and Acts 2:17. God-given dreams and visions are often because of the gracious outpouring of the Holy Spirit. They fall into the category of the miraculous when supernatural revelations are imparted. Ezekiel, the prophet operated in a continuous miracle ministry in the revelatory realm.

Some people desire Scripture for every manifestation of God – for every detail of every God-given, Holy Spirit inspired vision, dream, encounter, or demonstration of the supernatural realm of God manifested on the earth. While I firmly believe that we’re to defend the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I don’t believe we’re to defend divine manifestations of God, because they are proof within themselves of the Gospel, wherever the Word of God is sent forth. Discern yes, but defend, no. Consider that many of the “greater” things that Christ said we would do hadn’t even been done yet and weren’t recorded in the Bible.

On Visions

While it’s good and right and biblical to test the spirits to see if they are of God, it’s vital to realize that just because a type of vision or a sign is not listed in Scripture, that it’s unscriptural, to be discounted, or false. For instance: If you dream of Jesus visiting you, and in your dream, Jesus, the Man, was the most handsome man you’d ever seen, would the fact that the Bible described Him as having no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him, nothing in His appearance that we should desire Him (Is. 53:2b), discount your dream as being scriptural or genuine, relative, and of God?

Just as no two people are alike, no two experiences are alike. Guaranteed, the Bible doesn’t list the details of each dream, each encounter, or everything that God has, does, and will eventually reveal to His people. It doesn’t record every detail of every dream, or everything someone has seen in the spirit realm, or on earth for that matter. Nor does it record every possible miracle, but it does say that nothing is impossible with God (see Luke 1:37; Matt. 17:20). We have no account of miracles like amputated limbs growing back, but the absence of this is Scripture doesn’t mean that such a miracle unbiblical.

If a person is of the mind-set that everything spiritual that happens or manifests in our lives has to be found in Scripture to be divine and of God, then that standard or belief would have to be applied to every area of one’s life. God responds to each one of us in different ways so the specific way He speaks to any of His children should not become a doctrine of correctness.

Someone once said that limiting revelation is like trying to fit an ocean into a cup. God is continually restoring truth and light to His Church. Therefore, we should place no limit on further revelation. To have a view that everything that happens in someone’s life because of God’s loving response to us as His children should be listed in the Bible or else it’s wrong or evil, is like saying that Jesus, who is the Word represents a list of do’s and don’ts. Jesus is a Person who, through intimacy and relationship, we perceive and understand by the Holy Spirit what is good and what is evil. If Jesus listed for us everything that we needed to know, then knowing Him would have become an option. It’s in knowing Him, who is The Word that we enter into what He has prepared for us.

To apply doctrine to the response of God in our lives is wrong. For someone to assume that something that happens to us isn’t of God because it’s not in his or her doctrine or knowledge of Jesus is, in my opinion, to grieve the precious Holy Spirit. I believe each experience is unique and tailored to the individual’s background, experiences, circumstances, capacity to receive, and personal relationship with Jesus. The experience is usually one that a person can relate to. The Lord meets us where we’re at and often shows us things in a way that gets our attention, in a way that we, as individuals, uniquely understand and relate to.

Some are questioning the soundness of my visitation from Jesus while I was in Redding, California. I stated in an interview that it was as though He came into this realm and I saw Him as I would imagine Jesus would be with the disciples on the Earth, as the Son of man, a humble servant as He walked the earth, not in His resurrection glory. The purpose of this experience was for God to impart to me His supernatural peace in my life. God chooses, in His infinite wisdom, to reveal Himself in different ways, and in various aspects so that people can understand, relate, and even receive Him. Why do some think it so bad if God wills to come in His grace and reveal Himself to us in whatever manner He chooses?

Focus on the Revelation

This can be drastically different from one person to another. What’s important, however, are not the details of, for instance, a vision, but how it points to Jesus, the revelation gleaned, what we learn from the experience, how we apply it to our life, and/or speak it into the life of another, and how it draws us closer to Him, for His name’s sake. Because one person may not be able to relate to a dream, vision, or experience of another, he or she may attribute this to the devil or to the flesh, or hallucinations, for example. I’m sure many have seen strange things happen in our meetings – things that puzzle, things that aren’t normal to them, but understand – God doesn’t seek approval for how He manifests through His people or in signs and wonders.

The Bible is full of visions, encounters, signs, wonders, miracles, and manifestations that people have experienced, some of which may be downright hard for many to wrap their minds around, let alone believe it could happen today. Again, it’s all relative to each individual, their experiences, and backgrounds, and with what they have learned through intimacy with Christ Jesus, and what they have received as a love response from God. I spend hours and hours at the feet of Jesus and perhaps the next person doesn’t.

As I can recall, Smith Wigglesworth once had a vision of Satan. He’d been sleeping in bed during a thunderstorm that had rattled the windows and made the lights flicker. Suddenly he saw a vision of Satan standing at the foot of his bed. However, he wasn’t in the least bit disturbed because he had first-hand knowledge and experience of God’s protective nature and understood the power of the name of Jesus. “Oh, it’s just you,” he said to the devil, and turned over and went back to sleep.

If this were a new, breaking story today, how would people receive or respond to the account of what he saw? It would all be relative to what you know or have experienced relating to demons, or the knowledge that you have about the authority that you have as a blood-bought child of God, even to the church climate. If you’ve never cast out a demon from your life and seen him run at the mere mention of the blood of Christ Jesus, you wouldn’t understand.

Angels

Likewise, if I say that I had a vision of an angel, or encountered one or even spoke with one, but you haven’t doctrinally or experientially, come to terms with the reality of angels being in our midst, then you may not attribute it as valid. You may even tag me as someone who worships angels, seeks them for counsel, ministers under the power of, or misrepresents them in some way. In the case of the angel called “Emma,” who I described as having mother-like nurturing qualities, some have automatically assumed that my doctrine is that I believe in female angels. This has never been the case!

For whatever reason God chose to show me this angel in a female persona, He did. This isn’t to say that the angel was female. Angels are spirit and appear in many forms. Perhaps that’s the form God chose this angel to take for the purpose of the revelation He gave me. They are spirit beings of light, created out of God’s glory, without gender, and appear in whatever form God chooses to send them to us.

Let me throw this out there for you to think about. If someone encounters an angel on earth that has come in the form of a female human being, and even refers to the angel as a “she,” it doesn’t raise eyebrows. We know they must sometimes appear to us in human form because the Bible tells us not to forget to entertain strangers, “for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels” (Hebrews 13:2). There is biblical precedent for angels appearing in human form in the example of the two angels who came to Sodom to warn Lot before the destruction of the city in Genesis 19. They visited, had a meal, and even spent the night. Their human “form” even fooled those who tried to accost them and the angels struck them blind.

Even though they appeared as men, they are still genderless. Emma appeared to me in angelic form appearing feminine, which is not to say Emma was female or had a gender. This was the first angel I’d ever seen in feminine-like form, in this motherly nurturing type of persona that opened up a well of healings and breakthrough.

Mary, Paul, Peter, Jesus, the shepherds, and several disciples, and many Old Testament folk like Abraham, Hagar, Daniel, and others had angelic encounters and some interacted with them in conversation. That doesn’t suppose they worshiped these angelic beings or sought them out for revelation apart from God. I never summon angels directly. I do ask God to send angels to encamp around me, and others. Let it be said, that I seek only God for revelation and should He send an angel to me to impart revelation, get my attention, or open wells of revival and healing, so be it. I’ll echo Mary’s words when the angel Gabriel visited and conversed with her “You see before you the Lord’s servant, let it happen to me as you have said.” And the angel left her (Luke 1:26-38).

Christ paid the price for our spiritual blessings and access to heavenly things – angels included. Where I would be concerned about angelic revelation as being deceptive or as angels actually being demonic spirits, is where not-yet Christians claim angelic revelation while rejecting the cross of Christ.

Angels have a purpose in God’s plan. It shouldn’t come as a surprise to the Body of Christ that an angel, called the “Winds of Change” should usher in a new move of God.

Of the angels we learn, “He makes His angels winds and His servants flames of fire” (Heb. 1:7, NAS; see also Psalm 104:3, 4). If God has chosen to send them to us, it behooves us to welcome their presence as we usher in the presence and move of the Lord.

We see a manifestation of God’s presence and power by means of “wind and fire” in the New Testament on the day of Pentecost “when suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:1-4).

Angels are messengers from God in heaven to His church on earth, and they seem to appear at the most critical points in the history of salvation. We get the sense also that they observe what’s happening here on earth at least in the life of the Church. Christ ended two of His parables saying “there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents” (Luke 15:7,10, NKJV). They are also reapers in the great harvest, “…the reapers are the angels” (Matt. 13:39). Described as “ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation” (Heb. 1:14, italics mine).

Encounters/Visitations

Some people have even ventured to say that my visions and visitations are false. That’s like telling someone who’s just told you about a dream they had in their sleep that they didn’t really dream it.
In the case of my encounter with Paul the apostle, just as Paul didn’t know if he was in his body or out of his body when he was taken into the third heaven, I don’t know whether my encounter was in a vision or an actual encounter. I do know that it was not of the adversary. God had reason for this experience and for the revelation that transpired from it. These things I cannot refute.

It’s not that far out there when you consider that the apostle Peter beheld Jesus, Moses, and Elijah on the Mount of Transfiguration and was actually commissioned while in a visionary trance, to preach to the Gentiles (see Matt. 17:9, Acts 10:19).

Some may not find my experience doctrinally sound, and liken it to speaking to the dead, and unbiblical, citing the apostle Paul’s warnings in Galatians 1:8, and 2 Corinthians 11:14, of which I’m very aware. My accountability team and I, through careful examination, determined that this vision was not outside of God’s realm. God had a purpose and a plan for the revelation He gave me and it all pointed to Christ.
In visions and encounters that I share, I emphasize that it boils down to Jesus Christ who is the essence of everything and is the All in All. It’s all about Him, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. An encounter with heaven is an encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Many people don’t see what’s happening in the spirit realm, viewing things only from the physical realm. This is one reason why there’s so much division right now. I have found that many are judging things by what they see or hear in the natural, by their natural senses, to feelings, or without having relevant supernatural experiences themselves.

No Prototype for Revival

One of my colleagues told me of a pastor and his wife visiting Lakeland from Las Vegas last week. They pastor a church of over 5,000 people. They shared that they had to repent for believing in their hearts some of the concerns that they’d heard or read about, without first seeking the Lord about it or attending the outpouring, and experiencing first hand what God was doing here. They were amazed by the power and the glory of God there, and have headed back to Nevada with good reports!

This seems to be what I hear from many attending, and from what I read on blogs from people who’ve experienced the fire of God at our meetings. Every night we see hundreds of pastors and leaders all hungry for the fire of God to touch their churches, to disarm the religious paradigms that keep God in a box, quenching the work of the Spirit.

People may see me or others sprawled out on the floor, or in heavenly laughter, or shaking because of the glory and presence of God, but try to look beyond and understand that something’s happening in the spirit, trusting that there’s that other realm that you may not see.

Revival is often messy because there’s a lot happening and sometimes it’s hard for people to take in everything they see in the natural. Many come and some do manifest fleshly things, but for the most part, everyone is sincere and of good intention at a revival. Trust it’s better to be full of life with a little untidiness than to be dead. Also, trust that God is big. He can handle it and can separate the tares from the wheat.

Revival shakes paradigms. It doesn’t fit the mainstream Church’s way of thinking. Revival is an upstream move of God that breaks away from the stagnant pools of religion and tradition. Those bound by tradition and inside a paradigm of do’s and don’ts who give way to an upward stream, find transformation, and a new supernatural, empowering paradigm for their lives.

Moves of God like this are never normal. Do you think what happened in Acts looked normal to the disciples, or even to the onlookers? Pentecost was way, way out there, pretty far out, and must have caused much talk. No one had ever seen anything like it before. Revival is about new things happening, so it’s important not to be quick to judge. There’s no prototype for revival. It’s not a cookie cutter thing. We’re only in our baby stages – and there’s a lot to learn, but what we need now is the support of the Church because unity is crucial.

If you cannot understand the supernatural things of God, or even if you disagree or choose to discount or discredit me in any way, then I urge you to look at the fruit. Every day we’re seeing salvations. Every day people are being healed, not only physically, but emotionally too! Every day, people who thought they knew Christ are discovering Him in a fresh and powerful new way. Every day, we’re teaching people how to use their gifts to evangelize. We’re equipping and sending hundreds into the streets and marketplaces to talk about Jesus.

It’s not even limited to this region. We’re seeing this move of God as exponential growth because people carry the anointing and glory of God home to their churches and regions, empowered to “do the same stuff” and ignite more fires.

Before You Pick Apart the Worker…

Please examine the fruit before you pick apart the worker. People are being saved! Certainly this is common ground with every believer – our hearts should always be for the lost. Can we not come together and make this our mission, understanding that our theologies may be different but that we agree on this very important and vital commission. We serve the same God. God is the Father of all of us. We are His children. We are all in the same family. We are all running the same race but at different paces. The Word planted on good soil bears good fruit!

Salvation of the Lost

If you’re watching out a window from a distance and see a child running around a busy street and in obvious danger of being hit, but see someone close-by who could help, what would you do? Would you first judge the person to determine if he or she is “fit” enough or qualified to lend assistance, in your eyes? Would you check to see that the person is wearing an “S” for “Superman” on his shirt? Would you wait for the right person to come along that fits your mold, or would you throw open the window and yell, “That child – save that child!”

Please. Our mission is to save the lost. Period. Everything that is happening at Lakeland is to that end. God is good. People are being saved. That should be the priority of every believer. You may not understand some of the things that you see. It may be out of your paradigm or traditional way of thinking, but trust that if God didn’t want this to happen that He is more than capable of shutting it down single-handedly without the help of man.

Jumping into rivers of condemnation, disapproval, even censure before experiencing things for yourself could make you responsible for the loss of the one who may have come to the Lord but for quick judgments or criticisms. God is doing new things! Church history should never be used as a blueprint for experiences or beliefs, that’s what the Word of God is for.

New Wineskins and New Garments

This move of God may not fit your perception of revival, especially if you are basing it on previous revivals, or even on the traditions of the Church. So too, I likely don’t fit the mold of the traditional evangelist. Jesus used the Pharisees’ disapproval as an opportunity to teach why it was important that He didn’t fit into their mold. First, He used the metaphor of the patched garments and said “No one tears a patch from a new garment and sews it on an old one. If he does, he will have torn the new garment, and the patch from the new will not match the old” (Luke 5:36). To try to attach a new, unshrunk garment to the old will not only tear and destroy the new but also the old won’t look right and will eventually tear again. Jesus contrasted the old and new again with a parable about new wine and old, saying that if a person pours new wine into old wineskins the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will run out, and the wineskins would ruin (Luke 5:37, 38).

What could possibly be so new in Jesus’ day as to be ruined by being attached to the old? The radical Gospel! Man-made rules and tradition would hinder the work. Jesus wanted them to see that the dead Pharisaical traditions didn’t result in heart transformations. It would be easier for them to clasp onto and justify what was familiar and comfortable, than to be led by the Holy Spirit but the two can’t be combined. Jesus wasn’t throwing out the law or discounting it but came to fulfill it. The Gospel needed to be free of the confines of tradition and religious comfort zones to work its power.

Jesus wanted to restore the hearts of the people, to restore life to the core of the Hebrew faith. Those external things, as Paul wrote in Colossians 2:23, “have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.” Their system of laws had lost Christ who was their substance. They had the shadows but not the substance of Christ. Pride pretended to penetrate heaven but hadn’t.

Signs, wonders, and miracles should be proof of the Gospel. However, Jesus said there would be false signs and wonders in the last days that were not done by Him (Matt. 7:21-23). Of this, I am well aware. Some people may do these things in His name and yet never really have a relationship of love and fellowship with Jesus. Salvation is knowing Jesus and being known by Him – it’s much more than spiritual works or a verbal confession. I understand that lofty places in this visible kingdom are no proof of anyone’s acceptance with God, and neither are the mighty works, even done in Jesus’ name.

However, the condition of the heart is what truly allies us with Him. This I’ve stressed repeatedly in my ministry. The heart changes when someone spends much time with the Lord. This is the foundation of my ministry and my walk with Jesus. From the outset of my salvation, my ministry, and even today, I spend hours in the secret place of His presence. I seek Him and His will for every meeting. My team here at Lakeland knows that several hours of every afternoon; before every meeting, I’m not to be disturbed as I spend time with Jesus. Signs, wonders, miracles, dreams, and visions I believe are His loving response – the fruit of fellowship.

Spend time in His presence and you won’t be as resistant to change. You won’t be afraid to be a new wineskin, God’s present wineskin. You won’t even be the same wineskin as tomorrow, because with God wineskins are new and newer. New wineskins won’t limit God or what He can do.

When Did the Devil Change His Plan?

From what I’ve been hearing, my heart is saddened because critical people are bringing more attention to the supposed “works of the devil” in my life, and here in Lakeland than to the very real and wondrous works of God. Too much credit is being given to the devil and to man to the detriment of God’s sovereignty and power. Some are even attributing good and wonderful manifestations of God’s loving response to His children, to the devil! But this exalts no one but themselves when they choose to make a ministry out of their judgments and criticisms in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Since when did the devil come to heal the sick, raise the dead, open deaf ears and eyes, lead people to salvation in Jesus, or preach that the Kingdom of God is at hand? Just when did the devil change his plan? Jesus promised life and life more abundantly, and that’s the fruit that we’re seeing in Lakeland.

For this reason, I asked my staff to remove from our website, articles that are causing such strife and division and deterring the Body from the very real and pressing focus of these last days. Jesus wept when people missed the purpose. Every blessing flowed and people received, but they missed the purpose. Don’t miss the purpose!

Again I emphasize, it’s good and right to search out the Truth and to discern the spirits, God expects us to do so. Nevertheless, it’s also important to do so outside of one’s comfortable box, not mistaking discomfort for discernment, and realizing that God is not only a God who is the same yesterday, today, and forever, but also a God of new things. Realize also, that if you spend time in His presence, in fellowship with Him, and if daily, you put on the full armor of God and spend time in His Word; you’ll be more comfortable erring on the side of extravagance rather than quench the Spirit. A body of believers without the Holy Spirit is a breathless, lifeless body.

Accountability

I am accountable to God, and to those who He has sent to me to speak wisdom into my life and ministry – (I submit to an accountability team that comprises my pastor and spiritual overseers from varying backgrounds and denominations). They have not discounted the things that the Lord has shown me just because they don’t fit the mold of tradition or the old wineskins that some are carrying.

The dreams, visions, and experiences that I’ve brought forth have been solely for ministering to the Body of Christ. My experiences have made me even hungrier and more zealous for God. That hunger transfers into a hunger to see others experience what I know to be true. They’ve been substantiated through the Word of God in principle, and accepted and given the go-ahead by my accountability team.

I also have an entire department of our ministry devoted to intercession, to coordinating and administering prayer covering over my life and family, over the ministry, and to those to whom we minister. We have an email list called The Firewall that comprises hundreds of intercessors from around the world who keep us covered in prayer.

Steadfast Word of God

Certainly, some people may not understand the visions God has given me, just as I may not understand theirs, but I’ll always hold and stand firm on the truths and the promises He’s given me because He lines them up in my life with the Word. What eternally matters is His Word, which is steadfast and true.

My visions may fade away but God’s Word never will. As long as I have the Word, I don’t even need manifestations to prove to me that God is God.

However, God has promised that it shall come to pass in the last days that He will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh: that “your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions” (Joel 2:28). God is raising up an Ezekiel company empowered with the gifts of faith and the working of miracles, with voices like trumpets commanding and heralding the miraculous power of God. Effectiveness and power isn’t limited to clergy. God will pour out His Spirit upon all flesh.

We have to be immersed people. I want to be saturated with everything that God has for me – including dreams, visions, miracles, signs, wonders, and everything accessible to me as a child of God in the supernatural realm of His kingdom. I want the same for you, and so does God.

Go the Distance

People may criticize me for my boldness and zeal, for my methods and ways, for my intensity and urgency, but when we follow the Holy Spirit, He often leads us to do bold and even unexpected things – even outside of our norm. Samuel prophesied to King Saul that the Spirit of the Lord would come upon him and that he would prophesy and be turned “into another man” (1 Sam. 10:6). I am another man. Try to look beyond my paunch and the tattoos, and see how God has used me, and see how He can use you, and is using others.

Christianity shouldn’t be a dead religion but full of life, vim, and strength! Supernatural signs and wonders so often lead people to the saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ. Whether people know it or not, no matter which way a person comes to Christ, the supernatural is involved.

It’s vital for us to go the distance with God if the world is ever going to experience the might of who He really is! Walking in communion with God and in the reality of heaven on earth is the distance to aim and reach for but you have to be open to the impossible happening, even if it bursts your wineskin.

The realities of heaven that have happened in my life, and that are happening here at Lakeland are to glorify God so that the lost would come into right relationship with Him, for He is mighty to save.

Take Part in the Feast

God uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. For some reason, He’s chosen a bald-headed, red-bearded, tattooed, pierced, imperfect man as an agent for revival. I understand why I would come as a shock to the religious camp. Nevertheless, trust that if what I’m doing is of the flesh or of the devil, I will fail, but if what’s happening is from God, nothing and no one can quench this blazing revival fire unless God wills it.

We’re throwing a feast and we’re inviting the sick, the poor in spirit, the oppressed, and those bound in old wineskins. We’re going out to find and minister to those that no one else can touch to bring them in, and we’re seeing an outpouring of God’s blessings such that we cannot contain. Is it the work of the devil?

Spend time praying for souls. I pray you can see past my imperfections and gaze at the perfection of Christ Jesus. Break through your old wineskin and into the present one. Trust the wisdom of God and His hand in all of this.

I’m thankful that people are being watchful in these last days, just as I am watchful. Questions are good when we’re uncertain of things. Trust too what a respected Pharisee advised in Acts 5:38, 39: “And now I say to you, keep away from these men and let them alone; for if this plan or this work is of men, it will come to nothing; but if it is of God, you cannot overthrow it – lest you even be found to fight against God.”

I understand that people have questions, and God understands too! I invite you to come to Lakeland to see what God has for you, and to see for yourself the mighty and wondrous things that God is doing here. Thanks again for hearing my heart. It is my heart that we can bring unity to the Body of Christ to see a great harvest.

Fresh Fire to you,

Todd Bentley

PS: Just as I was wrapping up this letter to you, I received an unsolicited email from Dr. Gary S. Greig, PhD., a former Associate Professor of Old Testament and Hebrew at Regent University School of Divinity, and Senior Editor, Theology and Acquisitions for the Regal Publishing Group.

In his letter, this biblical scholar and theologian shared that the Lord had healed him of sleep apnea while entering into worship while watching a telecast of the Lakeland Outpouring. He wrote that the Lord prompted him to write and send us an independent theological witness to help as many leaders and believers as possible understand that the Lakeland outpouring is from God. That by writing this theological response to questions and criticisms in: Biblical Reasons to Receive God’s Glory and Give it Away in Power Evangelism, that as many as possible would receive “biblical permission” to get on board and fully commit to receiving the Lord’s glory and anointing, and to give it away in power evangelism.

we invite you to download the paper anyway. [Click here to download the booklet]

Dr. Greig writes: “(God’s) desire is to help every potential reader know that what God is releasing through Lakeland and through the Fresh Fire Ministries team is indeed squarely biblical and is not New Age or outside the clear teaching of Scripture and historic Christianity.”

According to the Lord’s leading, and our examination of the booklet’s contents, we are in agreement with his theological assessment. Our accountability team has made this very informative document available to you on our website in PDF format for download, and will have print copies available as soon as possible. Our heartfelt thanks go out to Dr. Greig and to the Lord for this timely and vital theological response to concerns and criticisms.

 http://authenticbiblicalfaith.wordpress.com/2008/06/17/questioning-the-lakeland-revival/

and in reality still partial truths, and lies is what the critics mostly post still..

“Clear guidelines concerning the restoration of fallen ministers. The appearance of one prominent fallen evangelist, Paul Cain, at the Lakeland Revival in May unleashed strong reactions from many sectors of the church. Many people feel unprotected when they sense that church leaders have chosen not to enforce proper discipline for a minister’s unbiblical behavior. In this adulterous generation, how can we draw lines to protect congregations while at the same time offer healing and grace to a repentant preacher?”  http://fireinmybones.com/index.php?col=052808

This is true even in other churches, revivals. Leaders, pasrors, elders falsely closing rank on the old boys network and failure to fully deal with too many unacceptable sins in the leadership are unacceptable still too.. and especially when 70 percent of evangelical pastors seem to admit to having committed adultery and what else?

(1 Sam 2:11 KJV)    And the child ( Samuel) did minister unto the LORD before Eli the priest.12  Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the LORD. 13  And the priests’ custom with the people was, that, when any man offered sacrifice, the priest’s servant came, while the flesh was in seething, with a fleshhook of three teeth in his hand; 14  And he struck it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh, unto all the Israelites that came thither. 15  Also before they burnt the fat, the priest’s servant came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest; for he will not have sodden flesh of thee, but raw. 16  And if any man said unto him, Let them not fail to burn the fat presently, and then take as much as thy soul desireth; then he would answer him, Nay; but thou shalt give it me now: and if not, I will take it by force. 17  Wherefore the sin of the young men was very great before the LORD: for men abhorred the offering of the LORD. 18  But Samuel ministered before the LORD, being a child, girded with a linen ephod.

(1 Sam 2:22 KJV)  Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. 23 And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people. 24   Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make the Lord’s people to transgress. 25  If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall entreat for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the LORD would slay them.

(1 Sam 2:27 KJV)  And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh’s house? 28  And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel? 29  Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people? 30  Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. 31  Behold, the days come, that I will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy father’s house, that there shall not be an old man in thine house. 32  And thou shalt see an enemy in my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in thine house for ever. 33  And the man of thine, whom I shall not cut off from mine altar, shall be to consume thine eyes, and to grieve thine heart: and all the increase of thine house shall die in the flower of their age. 34  And this shall be a sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them. 35  And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever. 36  And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left in thine house shall come and crouch to him for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and shall say, Put me, I pray thee, into one of the priests’ offices, that I may eat a piece of bread.
