Christian attitudes towards drugs, smoking and alcohol

Proverbs 20:.1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

The key Christian teaching in relation to the use of drugs. alcohol and smoking is that the physical body is the natural home of the soul, and is therefore precious and sacred.

Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 6:

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

No man should adduce in favour of drinking wine unless he can prove that the wine Jesus made in the” water-pots” of Cana was just like the wine which he proposes to drink. There are ample Greek literary texts which negate the narrow definition of oinos as denoting only fermented wine as it did not have the taste or the intoxicating effect of ordinary wine, God did not make fermented juice.. New wine would be grape juice (or a grapeade) mode from grape syrup while old wine would be 2 to 3 years old Suffice it to say, the “better” wine of course does not in any way imply or demand a more alcoholic, or even an alcoholic, wine at all, there is not the slightest evidence that the word so used would have conveyed any idea but that of the pure juice of the grape,

John the Baptist did not drink wine or any other form of alcohol because Scripture prophesied that he wouldn’t (Luke 1:15). Most people don’t know where to draw the line between temperance and excess. Such people better abstain totally until they know they can “be temperate in all things.”

John 2–¹⁰ And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

And the word used twice for “good” wine is a Greek word which refers to something or someone morally excellent or intrinsically good, rather It was Christ who in the Old Testament gave the warning to Israel, that “Wine is a mocker,” so why would he make fermented grape juice? by creating alcoholic wine, Jesus would have been promoting drunkenness, which the Bible clearly identifies as sinful.

Next you will say Jesus would have also distributed Playboy magazines.

If Jesus made fermented wine, then the fact that the guests had become”well drunk” would have meant that Jesus endorsed excessive drinking. Therefore,either Jesus endorsed excessive drinking of alcohol or the wine was unfermented grape juice! Obviously, then, the wine that Jesus made was unfermented grape juice.

Too many have assumed that the Hebrew and Greek words translated as “wine” must have the same meaning that themodern usage meaning of the English word “wine” does. In the English language, the word “wine” originally was used to denote the juice of grapes, whether in a fermented or unfermented state. Long ago, of course, that word has taken on the usage meaning of only grape juice in its fermented state. That’s why today we distinguish the two drinks by using the terms “wine” and “grape juice.”

Exodus 12:15 and 13:7 forbid the very presenceof “leaven” anywhere in the homes during Passover. The New Testament–in Matthew 16:12 and I Corinthians 5:7-8–provide the explanation by declaring that leaven is a symbol of evil. Leaven is a yeast, so the leavening process is parallel to the process of fermentation. In the light of these facts,plus Jesus’ statement in the disputed passages that the “fruit of the vine”represented His own saving blood, we must surely conclude that the communion cup did, and should always, contain unfermented (ie., uncorrupted) grape juice. The following Old Testament texts show God’s disapproval of wine, as “yayin:” Genesis 9:21; 19:32; Leviticus10:9-11; Deuteronomy 32:33; Psalm 60:3; Proverbs 4:17; 20:1; 23:20, 29-35;31:4-5; Isaiah 5:11-12; 28:7; Ezekiel 44:21; and Hosea 7:5. Proverbs 23:31-35–Again, the very nature of fermented wine is categorically condemned as a “serpent” and an “adder” that bites and stings.

The Bible condemns the use itself of all alcoholic beverages and highly recommends unfermented grape juice! The only exception to this consistent rule in Scripture is Proverbs 31: 6-7, which commands that alcoholic beverages be given to those who are dying or cowards.

The assumption made by proponents of the moderate use of alcoholic beverages that the ancient peoples did not know how to preserve the juice of the grape in an unfermented state, and that therefore, virtually every instance of wine mentioned in the Bible must be to fermented wine.This assumption is totally false as the ancient historical records are abundantly clear that there were several major methods of preserving grape juice in its natural, unfermented state.

Scriptures clearly teach that the very nature of alcoholic beverages is that which brings spiritual apostasy and otherwise affects the mind (and body too) of whomever drinks it. In other words, it is not excessive drinking only that the Bible condemns,but the beverage itself and its consumption in any amount. Since most people and Christians do not know or study the Bible today they are easily deceived.

As it is abundantly clear that the Bible condemns the use of alcohol in any amounts, Persons that are simply rationalizing what they want to do regardless of the facts or the consequences to their spiritual, or physical, natures are led to do so by the demons.

So Christians do not approve of the taking of illegal drugs, including recreational drugs, all those items which can alter the mind and make people incapable of praying or being alert to God.

Christians will take prescription drugs when appropriate.

Alcohol, tobacco and pot are examples of recreational drugs which are Forbidden to all Christians

And the undeniable brain damage by the use of bad drugs, and alcohol is irreversible

The widespread abuse of drugs, narcotics , alcohol are also linked to virtually to every evil and criminal activity within our society including adultery, murder.

If any person has genuinely become a “new creature in Christ” the Bible says that old things are supposed to pass away… that all things should become new (2 Cor. 5:17). Therefore, every believer should seek to put on the new creation of Christ, and to put off the old life, including the continued use of mind altering drugs,narcotics, alcohol and smoking .

Revelation 21:8 “But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Drugs have a Proven Connection with Sorcery and Witchcraft According to W.E. Vine’s expository dictionary of New Testament Words (page 1074), the word SORCERY comes from a Greek word, PHARMAKIA – used as a noun, it “signifies a sorcerer,” one who uses drugs, potions, spells, enchantments, as in Rev. 21:8.

The English word for drugs, pharmacy, comes from this same root. Drugs and potions have traditionally been used in witchcraft and satanic rituals to induce deeper subconscious states which enable persons to have fellowship and communication with demons. Realizing the satanic relationship with drug use helps us to understand why abusers of drugs experience such bondage and depravation.

Nowhere in the Bible or in history have drugs been used to bring people closer to God – they have always been used in relation to bringing people closer to evil powers and demonic influences.

And alcohol, drugs are continually linked with the headlines of Death, Robbery and Destruction. If this sounds familiar, it should. According to the Bible, these happen to be the identical characteristics of Satan.

John 10:10 “The thief [Satan] does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

1 Corinthians 10:21 “You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons.”

According to the Bible, Christian believers also now are accountable for all that they do .

Galatians 6 :7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

The Bible says that we belong to the Lord and we are to glorify Him with our body and with the way we live.

1 Corinthians 6:20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

1 Corinthians 10:31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Ephesians 5:17-18 “Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

{18} And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit…”

1 Corinthians 3:16-17 “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

{17} If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.”

1 Corinthians 6:12 “All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.”

Alcohol is a poison that is detrimental to one’s health and all persons who take bad drugs and alcohol suffer undeniably irreversible brain damage, death of brain cells, become more and more mentally retarded .

Poison is a good choice of words, particularly when the substance is in the hands of young people who often think themselves immune from the dangers around them Drinking even one alcoholic beverage while soaking in the sun can increases skin cancer risk by 20 percent while drinking more than four glasses increases this risk by 55 percent, a new study finds . It’s estimated that roughly 13% of those watching the watching Super Bowl will consume alcoholic beverages.

Too many deaths are also linked to energy drinks being mixed with alcohol. This is a dangerous combination . And it’s just a matter of time before new regulations start to surface here too. Unfortunately, the vast majority of people impaired by these products are young, often those not yet of legal drinking age. They mix it with juices and stimulant drinks that enhance the poisonous effects. According to the American Cancer Society, cancers linked to alcohol use include mouth, throat, voice box, esophagus, liver, colon and rectum, breasts, and even pancreatic cancer. For each of these cancers, the risk increases with the amount of alcohol consumed.

Heavy drinking can cause cancer, heart disease, stroke, liver failure and other diseases, and drinkers are more likely to die in acccidents or to be murdered. And people who drink and smoke together raise their serious health disease risk even more.

Alcohol is still an ‘important cause’ of premature death . Overall, most deaths were due to liver disease (63 per cent) and neuropsychiatric disorders (32 per cent). Excessive alcohol use can cause or exacerbate disorders such as alcohol dependence syndrome, depression, anxiety and psychotic episodes. In Canada, the U.S., Argentina and Costa Rica, Cuba, the highest mortality rates were seen among those aged 50 to 69 People can spend 20 years drinking alcohol and not feel any of the effects this is doing to them. Eventually you reap what you sowed and the damage shows up. Alcohol is still an ‘important cause’ of premature death and major sickness.

The Holy Spirit works in the lives of Christians and empowers them to begin changing as their sinful burdens are released by the power of God’s forgiveness for their sins.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Jesus began His public ministry by announcing He had come, among other things, to set captives free (Luke 4:18); and Apostle Paul asserted that full liberty is what God has called us to, that Christian liberty should be protected, and that any bondage is to be avoided (Gal. 5:1, 13). Paul puts a great value on personal freedom and condemns anything that restricts or prohibits a person from reaching his or her God-given potential. Addiction, a dependence on a certain behavior or experience is sinful.

Be Sober

No alcohol

ALCOHOL IS A VICE AND NOT A NECESSITY

Some persons rightfully maintain that prison, job termination are still the main and best solution to this problem of alcoholics, drug abuses too .. for my being kind to the UNREPENTANT wicked, bad, no good persons is really now still a complete waste of time, energy, effort for without real negative consequences neither they or the others tempted to follow them they will not tend to readily positive change, for their own good or the good of others.

Brownlee is a nephew of Bonnie Brownlee and Bill Fox, the husband and wife team who worked as press secretaries for former prime minister Mulroney and his wife, Mila. Matt Brownlee, who served seven years for drunk driving causing the deaths of Linda LeBreton-Holmes and her 12-year-old son, Brian, in suburban Ottawa was again charged this month with drunk driving and driving without a licence. The new charges against Brownlee, 33, have not been proven in a court of law but have re-opened old emotional wounds. “I was stunned at the news,” said the Conservative senator known for fierce loyalty to Mulroney and being the former prime minister’s eyes and ears in Ottawa. “I’d tried to put it at the back of my mind because it’s been almost 10 years since my daughter and grandson were killed . . . And I am angry.” LeBreton, who serves as the national chair of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, thinks Brownlee should be declared a dangerous offender and locked up indefinitely. “My goodness, they just don’t get it,” said LeBreton. “They’re treating this as if it’s a public relations exercise and somehow or another there’s a story to be told on behalf of Matt Brownlee. “It’s never him, and it’s never them, it’s the system that let him down, and I was actually quite angry when I read that because not once in that whole article was there any remorse or any regret for what he’s done.” LeBreton says she is frustrated by a weak justice system and has been working on a bill to lower the allowable blood alcohol level for driving to 50 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood from the existing 80 parts. She says such countries as France, Germany and Australia have already moved to the lower level.”

Verbal, Physical abuse, Disrepect of any persons, self included is immoral, unaccpetable wrong and is in the same unacceptable categaory of Cheating, Lying, Stealing, Tax evasions.

These days you also so got to supervise daily even the politicians, even the civil and public servants now as well, for it seems they will all run back quickly to their old tricks.. to their even bad habits of drunkenness, cheating, lying and stealing, and wrongfully next also they think they can get away with it. Clearly we as citizens have wrongfully elected too many thieves, liars, drunks, alcoholics into political offices… and they all now should still be fired, removed, recalled ASAP.It is also really not acceptable that we let the people who are the real accomplices of the abuse the taxpayers money, the existing inadequate poor supervisors in the governments, civil and public services to stay employed, and they rightfully also rather now should immediately all be fired.. in fairness now even all of them.

The Public exposure and prosecutions of the guilty persons starting rightfully at the top, but goes down to the bottom as well serves everyone’s best interest and is continually mandatory for everyone’s best and good welfare. All it takes for evil to prosper is for the good people to wrongfully do nothing about it.

You know that even when any crown corporation too now does not perform rightfully I really rightfully recommend to the Ministers, government that their budget be severely cut till the managers and the subordinates do get their whole House in order..

I have really also learned from personaly observing many persons the last 35 years that there tends to be no such thing as a little bit pregnant, that to open the barn door a little bit, left unrestrained, undisciplined, unsupervised, means the barn door next will eventually swing wide open.. and when any person tends to personally allow, start a little acceptable vice, abuse, eventually the other even bigger vices, abuses do now also tend to grow, develop there as well.. and yes while some deny it they too all thus next can be easily discovered, even though the guilty persons too often will deny this.. and this includes even now next the vices of pre-marital sex, sodomy, polygamy, alcoholism, gambling, adultery, drunkenness, bingeing, gluttony, gouging, self-destructive behaviors, selfishness, indifference, apathy, jealousy, anger, hate, envy, rudeness, irritability or grudges , lust, cussing, cheating , addiction, shoplifting, stealing, tax evasions and even the others abusive behaviors of bullying, racism, disrimination, pride, lying. Many people lie to others and falsey deny they have a personal problem. (CP handout) VANCOUVER (CP) – A top American clinical researcher in the field of drug addiction warned Tuesday that decriminalizing marijuana could lead to increased abuse of the drug. Studies show wider availability of a drug coupled with a relaxed attitude towards it help predict the level of use and addiction, said Dr. Nora Volkow, director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse. Volkow said surveys indicate that if a drug is considered safe and benign, its use spirals. Drug addiction rates can range from 20 to 30 per cent of users. “The notion of legalizing and making drugs accessible, what it will do is ultimately increase the number of people that get exposed to the drug,” Volkow said in an interview. “Some of those people will become addicted that may have not become addicted had it not been so easily accessible.” The best examples, she said, are alcohol and tobacco, both widely available and relatively acceptable socially and with the most widespread addiction rates. The federal Liberal government is mulling the decriminalization of possession of small amounts of pot. The Canadian proposal is drawing frowns within the U.S. government – notably drug-policy czar John Walters – accompanied by warnings about implications at the border. Volkow, here to speak to people working in the drug-addiction field, said many scientists used to believe marijuana was not addictive. The church reached a proposed settlement with the plaintiffs last month, but it has to be certified by the court. Both Liberal and Conservative activists have been making the same action over and over again in regard to the so called their opponents, news media, reporters: The borked opponents aren’t debated but merely shut down, censored, their free speech denied, and often next immediately they are forcibly removed, kicked out, never allowed to be discussed again too by anyone, and hopefully insuring their person and his views being totally excluded from the rest of the local group, community. If I dare to openly question anything I am threatened with police action and immediate church dismissal too. Forget about being showed mutual respect in this caged circus rather. This is all just perversity and not freedom in Christ. Thank God that not all churches now are like this.

The Bible itself cleary posts the name of many of those now who had sinned, and did not repent, and some of their negative consequences too, as a warning to all the others who would equally be now next tempted to sin and not repent . Bad shepherds, priests, ungentle control freaks included who had allowed the flock to be abused.

I USED TO BE NAÏVE ONCE AS TO WHAT GOES ON IN CHURCHES AND WHAT PASTORS CAN BE REALLY LIKE NOW TOO. ALSO WHAT POLITICS, JUDGES, LAWYERS, COPS, PROFESSIONALS CAN BE LIKE TOO. A BAD PASTOR FIRSTLY TO REPENT NOW NEXT TOO? DON’T too often now EXPECT FOR SURE A MIRACLE HERE OVERNIGHT TOO.

I still would rightfully rather see pastor first live a sermon instead of too often now merely preach it to others and I really do think it is so farcical how some sinfully, proud evangelical pastors are ready to condemn others, to gossip about, to now preach about the other person’s sins but someone how they can’t seem to deal with their own false abuse of others, their own sins, and their own false pride. While Moses was a great example of meekness it seems many pastors are not these days.. they are anything but meek, they are rather controlling, harsh, unkind, dictatorial, abusive, insulting, unloving,, rather I have often also met in evangelical circles the despotic foremen, dictatorial types, bully, jungle fighter leaders, the same persons who think they are supreme over all others, they can take the law into their own hands, and even do what they want over any others, physically now as well. I have not totally now understood how these unacceptable, abusive slave drivers got to this personality stage or why they falsely think in their abusive pride they will get away with it forever now as well. And yet they mostly lie and deny these sins, falsely claiming rather they are good, loving, kind..

Now as I was also reflecting about my many past posts on the net in the last few years I was really saddened to note that too many of them were about bad , greedy people trying to steal , trying to get other people’s money for themselves, stealing the money, or getting it under false pretences. The love of more money is still the basis of what many of the wrong doings is, was all about..(Eccl 8:11 KJV) Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil

I was also very sad to note as to how many evangelical, Christian pastors, politicians falsely approve of drinking alcohol even though their real Christian colleagues preach against it.. Fundamental evangelical pastors preach it is a sin for any Christian to drink alcohol, Liberal Christians such as Catholics or Eastern Orthodox church say it is not. But one thing no one can deny is how harmful drinking alcohol is.. in Russia 60 percent of men and women die due to drinking alcohol.. how much hurt and damage does alcohol drinking cause in Canada? and how much money does it costs the taxpayers now too? Much too much too.

I have often heard it said that most Canadians Canada wide now are still like fearful sheep they are too ready to be fleeced, sadly it also seems they must have ostrich genes in them for when you present negative truths they tend to often rather bury their heads in the sand as well it seems.. especially in in too many of the evangelical churches.. or the ostrich sheep in Alberta who also now too often seem to think no Conservative politician can ever do any wrong rather it has to be the other bad guys, you know the liberals. I had attended a recent comical church service, New Beginnings Ministry 9412 Rue Clement Lasalle, QC H8R1T5 Phone: (514) 363-1080., a farcical circus, not the first time now too, where the pastor Stéphane Chauvette Associate Pastor was preaching about everything, bashing everyone else, but somehow he could not keep his own promises, his own word, or stay on a specific valid subject. And he made it clear if you rock his boat he will next also kick you off the ship.. The modern Christian evangelical fundamentalism demands a false blind obedience to a one man minister, ministry and all that he says and falsely bypass the mutually submissiveness eldership rule pattern set forth in the New Testament, book of Acts now as well. This bad fundamental church is no exception to this. Please do have the local LaSalle police remind the pastors, elders, members, adherents of this Pentecostal church that is is still illegal for the pastor or anyone else now there too to physically assault anyone, even if it is in their church. They may have a right to ask anyone to leave their premises, but as I have witnessed myself now they do not have a right to physically grab, lay hands, assault any person in their church even now too especially when he did nothing wrong.. That right is only for the police and is limited for them as well.. If someone next after being asked refuses to leave the church when asked they can call the police. I told them that I was glad to leave this church on my own free will and will be just as glad not to come back too.

Honor Killings, Violence. In reality too the Cops themselves, RCMP included, now are not the only one who resort to violence when their authority is threatened, so do some clearly bad, hot tempered evangelical pastors now too.. I too before have already experienced in Canada a direct physical assault of me by a rogue Pentecostal pastor who had punched me, physically assaulted me, with no provocation too,, in front of a witness, backed up with a police report , cause I had refused to go to his church. An another Pentecostal pastor and even a church elder, were attempting to physically abuse me to stop my public revelations of his unacceptable acts, thefts of money too. and the same thing had happened to my own brother on another occasion and he too had called the police and reported the matter who also had experience physical assault attempt by a Plymouth Brethren pastor. But none of this should be a surprise when a pastor’s authority, financial security is threatened ehh..

OVER MANY YEARS I HAVE LEARNED THAT PERSONAL, RELIGIOUS CONFLICTS SEEM TO BE UNAVOIDABLE EVEN IN ANY CHRISTIAN CHURCH.. AND WE ALL SHOULD KNOW AS TO HOW SHOULD WE DEAL WITH THEM, REACT TO THEM.. MANY PEOPLE FALSELY RUN AWAY FROM THEM, TRY TO DENY THEY EXISTS.

It is a basic fact the we must all learn to live, communicate in love with one another, and his communication does not mean we have to accept all wrong doing now as well for the devil and his followers will often come to us to try to cause false bondages upon us, to detour us or divert us from the freedoms, truths that we all do we have in Christ. And it is very likely if you or the leader refuses to talk with someone it is really cause you do not love them as well.

One of the things I have found also so confounding is how many contradictory preachers can be filled with both truths and lies, falsehood, errors and how come? Why is that? I was passing through the city of Chicago on the way to Winnipeg and I had decided to stop in a Fundamental church, that I had read about in Christians magazines, books now too, this Church had regular Sunday services casting out demons out of Christians too. I was dismayed to hear the preacher at a Sunday morning service also preach that the Russians had an army of tanks on the US border in Canada ready too invade the US, and most people there had next accepted this as the truth. Funny or sad how so many people seem to be ready to believe gross lies over the truth, reality from their leaders now even in churches as well. For certainty I next saw no Russians tanks at the Canadian border when I drove on to Calgary Alberta as well.I HAVE BEEN TO MANY VARIOUS DIFFERENT CHURCHES, SERVICES AND WHEN I HEAR PASTOR TRYING TO TELL ME HOW GREAT THEIR CHURCH SERVICES ARE COMPARED TO OTHER CHURCHES, I CAN MAKE A VALID REAL COMPARISON NOW TOO. THE FACT THIS PREACHER IS BOASTING ALREADY LIKELY CLEARLY MEANS HE MISSED THE MARK OF A GOOD SERVICE.(Prov 27:2 KJV) Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips. I have often encountered preachers who claimed they alone were good persons, but the reality was far from it, and visible to many next too.

The WRONGFULLY STILL Unrepentant bully’s problem is that he or she is one of those bad persons who only feels truly alive when voicing hostility and contempt for his “enemies.” Without that, he or she starts gasping for air. It’s his nature.. self-destructive” .. clearly these immoral Bully, Basher of others, Abusers of others has a disappointed, deflated ego, negative self worth, most likely related to past unresolved guilt, as a result of that the bully, he or she, tries falsely to build their ego up by bashing, hating others, by being an antagonists against his proclaimed enemies, which too often also is most people , for he or she no longer trust anyone, and Abusers this is a common very typical approach, fact in the character build up of Bullies, Bashers, but their approach is futile, the subsequent feeling of self worth dissipates too quickly, are actually replaced by guilt, and his ego, self worth likely needs to be recharged with new hate.. and is replaced with more and larger hatred of the others. I have seen this type of wrong behavior not just in bad managers, bad politicians, bad persons, but in alcoholics, and most often in Albertan rednecks ,but also in religious fundamentals evangelicals who promote hated towards Pentecostal Christians as well, and now as well as the crooked pastor wrongfully fighting for control over others.

So you boast you do not steal, or commit tax EVASION, but next you lie, slander, bully, abuse others.. just are as guilty as if you had stole now too.

Public exposure and prosecution of these bad persons here too serves everyone’s best interest.

ONTARIO Facing pressure to release more details about alleged fraud or wrongdoing investigated by the auditor-general, the city revealed that it had fired three staff and suspended 10 others without pay. But the city would not say for which among a list of allegations in the report, including theft and improperly cancelled parking tickets, the employees were punished. Meanwhile, in a separate case of alleged fraud, the city announced it had fired nine staff it had sent home with pay last month for allegedly filing false health-benefit claims and pocketing the cash. However, the mayor and city officials would not say how much, saying it could jeopardize a police probe into the allegations, uncovered by the company that administers the city’s benefits, Manulife Financial. The report includes allegations that employees improperly cancelled parking tickets, worked $50,000 in “excessive overtime,” viewed pornography on city computers, wrongly recommended private contractors to homeowners and rented their own apartments to social-services recipients. Pressed by reporters, Mr. Miller said three of the employees facing allegations in the auditor-general’s report were terminated, one resigned, and another 10 were suspended without pay. Mr. Ford, like other members of the audit committee, received a confidential briefing on the punishments behind closed doors but was “severely warned” not to share what he learned. He accused the mayor of trying to keep a lid on the allegations and the city of being too soft on the accused employees: “It’s coming from the top.”

The Canadian Press OTTAWA – A free “beef and beer” night at a popular hangout near Parliament Hill has drawn attention to a smorgasbord of receptions, drinks and hors d’oeuvres lobbyists serve up to MPs. The cozy rounds of free alcohol and food have reached a scale where even some MPs say it’s time to establish a public registry for the events. One lobbyist says associations representing a range of interests host three or four receptions in and around Parliament Hill every day the House of Commons is sitting. An MP says lobbyists use the tactic to organize political support for favoured policies, acquisitions or decisions cabinet ministers are contemplating – without having to register the discussions under the Lobbying Act. “In the spirit of transparency for lobbying, it would make sense that all activities would be reported,” says New Democrat MP Paul Dewar. The beef-and-beer night took place the day the Harper government unveiled its recession budget on behalf of hard-pressed Canadians. The affair became a gossip item not just for the size of the crowd, but the quality of refreshments. Everyone who was invited and walked in the door received three complimentary beer tickets and a no-limit buffet of what participants later described as “really, really good” sirloin on a bun. The hosts – the Association of Canadian Brewers and the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association – invited all 308 MPs. Government guests spotted under the dim lighting included Treasury Board President Vic Toews, in charge of the federal purse strings, and Transport Minister John Baird. Baird said later that, as convivial as the night was, he did not have even a sip or a taste since he’s a vegetarian and does not drink beer. Baird led the Conservative campaign for transparency and stiffer rules for lobbyists when he steered the Public Accountability Act through Parliament in 2006. Ministers of state in the crowd included Alberta MP Rob Merrifield and Saskatchewan MP Lynne Yelich. Ontario Tory Dean Del Maestro, parliamentary secretary for Heritage Minister James Moore, was spotted, along with a handful of Conservative backbenchers as well as opposition MPs. New Democrat MP Peter Stoffer was among those who turned out, although he says he stayed for only 10 minutes because he had to rush off for another event. He said he sees nothing wrong with the receptions, lunches and meals the lobbyists host. “If they gave me a Mercedes Benz, that I would see would be a problem,” he said, adding the events are useful to gather information. Spokesmen for the two lobby groups that put on the night at the pub D’Arcy McGee’s emphasized the social aspect of the evening. But one of them acknowledged it was a lobbying event. “It’s part of our overall outreach strategy with government, so yes,” said Andre Fortin, public affairs director for the brewers. Fortin and a spokesman for the fuels group, Robin Speer, declined to disclose the cost of the event. They both said their associations do not reveal “budgetary” details. Other recent receptions and dinners included events by the Dairy Farmers of Canada, which invited all MPs to a Chateau Laurier wine and cheese reception during an annual conference and select MPs to a dinner the following evening. Stoffer says teams of individual farmers visited MPs’ offices before the dinner to lobby on issues such as continued producer control over the supply of food. He jokingly called the teams “swat squads” – a method also used by other interest groups. The Distillers Association of Canada has launched an annual whisky “tasting” for politicians. Association president Jan Westcott says the tastings, which he says began at the suggestion of Commons Speaker Peter Milliken, are meant to inform MPs about the industry and acquaint them with Canadian spirits. “Imagine you’re talking to some politician and you’re trying to get him to represent a point of view in, let’s say, fighting with a foreign government, because we are big exporters, to open up markets for us,” Westcott said. “If he doesn’t think that product is very good himself, how effective is he going to be in carrying the case for us?” Duff Conacher, of the government ethics monitoring group Democracy Watch, says recent guides issued by ethics commissioner Mary Dawson mean the complimentary food and drinks should be out of bounds for cabinet ministers and parliamentary secretaries if they are clearly an attempt at influence. Lobbyists must register contacts with cabinet ministers, parliamentary secretaries, police aides and senior bureaucrats, but there is no requirement to register the lobbying of backbench MPs. Webster’s defines the act of judging as “to form an opinion about through careful weighing of evidence and testing of premises.” The problem arises because judging can be subjective. In other words, your judgments are based firstly on your own perceptions, motives, and understandings. This is why two people can judge the exact same situation and come up with different determinations. Did you with Katherine Khulman, examine her whole life, what she lived, preached, taught or just by one bad past act of her you condemned her falsely? Since the judgments of man are therefore rooted in the “opinions” of man or of a women, no man’s judgments can be taken as absolute or complete truth. What did God tell you now about her himself? Jesus was able to hear God’s words to pronounce God’s judgments. “Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.” (John 7:24). We must have our will in full subjection to God’s which enables us to know God’s own words on every subject and allows us to be sent by God to others with His message. Or did you now even bother to pray to him about her before you ran away with your condemnations? The Word of God says that God enables man to judge righteously, commands man to judge righteously too, and is pleased with those who seek to judge righteously . The fact that the desire to judge righteously is highly esteemed by God. King Solomon asks, “Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?” We are also told not to judge according to appearances or by the flesh (John 7:24; John 8:15; James 2:1-4).

This means that sound judgment cannot be based on what we see, hear, or think. Since God’s thoughts and ways are are higher than ours, He is not bound by our perceptions, opinions, or prejudices. This again is a confirmation that God alone is The Judge. Our judgments must therefore be based in His direct words to us in order for them to be true. So how is your real, direct communication now with God, does he talk and commune with you in all things?

The Bible forbids only the unrighteous judgment,

I Corinthians 11:31-32 that we judge ourselves first so that we will not be judged

(II Chronicles 19:6) “…Take heed what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for the LORD, who is with you in the judgment.”

A false “accuser of the brethren.” is evident by ones clear absence of real love for them too.

(Prov 31:8 KJV) Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. 9 Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.

(1 Cor 5:12 KJV) For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?

(1 Cor 6:2 KJV) Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? 4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.

1 Cor 6:5 KJV) I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?

(1 Cor 10:15 KJV) I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.

(1 Cor 14:29 KJV) Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.

(1 Cor 14:40 KJV) Let all things be done decently and in order. and “Whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus” (Colossians 3:17).

Galatians 6 1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. 2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.

It is always evident that the mostly still liars, people claiming to be good persons, who try to enforce the one way rules on others, those even they do not practice, are still just liars and hypocrites.. and of course they do not want you to judge them, to know and expose this to any others..

But a person is known by the company they keep.. One having bad company leads to one going to hell too.. tell me who your friends are and I will tell you who you are now.. a person is also know by what he does, and the values he or she have.. some people have bad values, some people falsely go extreme with good values..

Now real Biblical repentance evident and it includes s admitting one sins to God, stopping and consciously turning away from them, turning back toward God, and personally accepting Jesus Christ finished work, forgiveness for them. True repentance is confession, contrition, change; replacement and it involves the whole person, Our Body, Soul, Spirit. It is also a personal, ongoing event. It is visible to all now too..

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

But who am I to say? I’m not his judge”???

If you yourself now cannot judge what people are like so how can you see the devil then too?

You yourself are not Holy Spirit filled even then.. one needs to deal with that firstly.. Of course the devil does not want you to have the gift of discernments of Spirits.. if the devil cannot get at you personally he will next come to you directly in the form of a bother, sister even, a person.. (2 Cor 2:11 KJV) Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

There is no such thing as living in a world in which individuals are not being judged by others for the actions that they take or what they say. Making a statement such as, “you cannot judge me”, is ludicrous. A Christian person still can judge another Christian’s individual’s behavior or actions, writings, speech but not the intent of any individual’s heart. Only God can do that.. But God alone will judge the non Christians, not us, and we cannot judge what other people do eat as being right or wrong.

(1 Cor 4:21 KJV) What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?

Prov 27:5 Open rebuke is better than secret love.

Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Hey I point something out to a net poster, or a church goer, and he goes haywire.. such as when I honestly, lovingly say as “how can you go to a Christian Church and really, obviously still do not know God, Jesus, the Holy spirit personally”? now have you also experienced that? I have too often for my liking the last 4 decades even.. I am nice to the good persons and the bad person gets what he deserves..

When we do not like to be rebuked. Revenge and anger tends to amplify our worst tendencies but we all do need a stark reminder that all persons now are still responsible, can be and will be accountable for what they do, say, in churches, in the open, online or otherwise. Pastors, elders, individuals included.

I too do not spoil or baby him, like his mother or someone else likely did .. ehh.. and next he gets really upset, he cannot accept any rebuke, critics, advice.. he gets easily angry, revengeful persons and so on and claims he is a real born again Christian but resorts to a hot temper, to slanders, lies, distortions, fighting, threats, blackmail.. .. so where are, were their own fruit of the Holy Spirit?

Hey I admit it I dislike those evident show off, competitive posters, preachers rather those still novices, who want to ASAP preach to everyone else, clearly still not led by the holy spirit, because we the older ones can tell how little they still really do know.. .. it seems they do need their diapers still changed.. “crap”… by the way they do also often next get really upset and tell me that a man of God does not speak that way to anyone.. they are ignorant of how all the Prophets spoke in the Old Testament Bible.. they also did not use sweet sounding words, pleasant phrases.. God does not spoil us too.. he may be a good of love but he is never ever dumb, unwise.. I am nice to the good persons and the bad person gets what he deserves..
