In fairness now

Finding out the facts, discovering the truth.

Firstly no one can accuse me now  of false partialities, hypocrisies, generalizations for I rightfully detail and  I expose all bad churches even the Bad Pentecostal ones, Bad Baptist One, Bad Christian Missionary Alliance, and bad Plymouth Brethren dispensational ones..

As I look back in my life the last half a century some of the most immoral, despotic, cruel persons I have encountered in Canada were not just in the business world but actually pastors in various Christian  churches and why was, is that?  (Prov 31:8 KJV)  “Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction.  9    Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.” To be able to judge righteously, though, the Church itself and the Preacher now must be also righteous.

(John 4:23 KJV)  But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

(John 4:24 KJV)  God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Many people claim to be willing to help you. too often with questionable motives too,   but basically in reality you still have to do it for yourself, you have to discover the truth yourself, it takes real work, being lazy will often lead you to misdirection’s, even into cults, and many have now as well. Sincerity itself is not any kind of protection against being duped, deceived.  The Bible itself warns us Beware of men, next Cursed be he or she that puts their trust in any man.. The Church, the Assembly  itself does not save you, Jesus alone does.

(2 Cor 11:14 KJV)  And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15   Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
You do not need any others, for you have all the tools you need.. you have at your disposal the Bible, and prayer.. just pray and ask the Holy Sprit himself to guide and lead you into all truth as you read the Bible.. it is as simple as that.

Too many false persons try to define God solely based on their own limited personal experiences, knowledge, and if it did not happen to them it cannot happen to anyone else…   and too many even  lie and say they are experts on something they admit they have never even experienced now too… such as healings, gifts of the Spirit… they are mere pretenders rather too often still.

.
Follow after God alone . God speaks too .
The word of God is living and active, it penetrates even to the dividing of soul and spirit.., it judges the thoughts and intents of the heart. Heb 4:12

it does not need a man written books about 200 years ago to speak for it too..

My sheep hear My voice,   and I know them,  and they follow Me.  John 10:27
Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. Mat4:4 (There is no life without hearing words from the mouth of God.)

But we have to listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, to hear. Where is the basic Problem in doing so now? In seeking God directly? for I too after sitting under the mostly  bad evangelical pastors, hirelings,  for 3 decades, the next 3 decades I had seen that almost all of of my beliefs were false, unbiblical, the mere teachings of man, unsubstantiated by the Bible itself.

These days Finding a qualified shepherd is hard.. I have yet  to find a really good one in the last  5 decades..  I have rightfully fired many of them for lying, slandering, adultery though already.. even helped to close one big really bad church, the Calgary Christian Center..
http://groups.msn.com/AFOLLOWEROFCHRIST

Finding a decent, viable, non cultural, non heretical, non sectarian, non polluted Church these days is also too often also hard. Mind you you have to keep on looking for it. Many claim they are good, like they lip service God they love him too, with mere words.

I have also dealt with  the Alliance Churches,  Calgary Christian center,  Evangelical Missionary Church,  United Church   , Full Gospel Churches,  Baptist Churches, Evangelical Free, Victory Christian Fellowship,   First Assembly (Pentecostal), Salvation Army,   Don Ross Ministries and the Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship; to name a few.  And you should let another man praise you and not yourself.. I moved to Calgary at the age of 35 in 1980 and I had been a Christian  for 20 years before that and for the next 15 years I in contrast could not find one decent honest Christian Pastor or Church in Calgary, in my witness they were all bunch of racists, social clubs, adulterers, liars, slanderers, gossipers, thieves, rich minded persons who despised the poor people etc.., Calgary was the third  most unspiritual place I have been to in Canada

(2 Chr 16:9 KJV)  For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him.
(Prov 16:5 KJV)  Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
(Prov 23:7 KJV)  For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
(Isa 51:7 KJV)  Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye afraid of their revilings.
(Mat 15:8 KJV)  This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
Persons who want to uplift their denominations, leaders, mere men, exalt themselves are still false..
(Acts 8:21 KJV)  Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.

My clear rightful understanding of Plymouth Brethren is while they may have a few aspects of truth, in whole they are generally false, not true to the Bible… basically a sect, a Darby, Scofield cult.

The Plymouth Brethren movement was, is an independent work from that of the Holy Spirit, in which which  Brethren believe that they now represent the true church established originally on the day of Pentecost. The two guiding principles of the movement were to be the breaking of bread every Lord’s Day, and ministry based upon the call of Christ rather than the ordination of men. They say  they follow and obey the Scripture, refusing to follow human tradition and creed.   Ironically they just put their own creeds, beliefs as substitute based on the writings of their own  leaders, yes more mere men.  While the Others still tend to  call them Brethren, but they prefer to hide and to be called Christians, they not not like the truth of who they really are exposed fro who in his rigth mind now would follow after them too?

The Brethren claim seek to assemble in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to maintain the apostolic pattern and simplicity which marked the churches of the days of the apostles all that while the falsely deny the existence of the Apostle’s prophets, healing today and the charismatic gifts of the Holy spirit now too. How dirtied can they get next?

The Plymouth brethren are  part of one big happy Christian family? Nothing could be further from the truth.  For  they are rather an exclusive club opposed to Charismatics gifts, Healings. Casting out demons too it seems. I was also surprised how little they do like to talk about their owns sins, only the sin of others. The sin of not being a full part of their exclusive club.

The Exclusive Brethren believe in receiving no one at the Lord’s table who is not a true Christian in the fullest sense, including being a member of a fully separated assembly (an assembly of Brethren who associate only with Brethren and not with persons from other churches. It seems they too find it easier to hate others than to love them.

Dispensationalists are also rightfully  accused of teaching different methods of salvation, different standards requirements too  in their different defined dispensations periods

The Law was a curse, Gal 3:13, and Christ redeemed us from it.  Does not exclude  their too often sins, unloving, unchristlike behaviors, even towards others.  They  too often  seems to still need to find real personal repentances from Sin.

While the Brethren say they Believe the Bible is the Word of God, they too  clearly do have this unholy, desperate need to reinterpret almost every passages of the Bible suitable to their own liking.

I urge you read your Bible, and to find a true and not a pretending Bible teaching local church, if you are not in one, and if you absolutely cannot find one, start one yourself. A New Testament Church can be as small as two or three people, and Jesus is always there, because He hopefully  lives in His people (John 14:23   ; Eph. 1:13 – 14).

Plymouth Brethren Dispensationalist are noted not for using the Holy spirit to personally guide and lead THEM  and  you into all truth, but the supposed Greek versions of the Bible, Men’s commentaries, their selected reading materials too..

SUCH AS

Resources to Help You Find “Insights from the New Testament Greek” for Yourself: Even if you don’t know a word of Greek, but just get a Strong’s Concordance and a Greek-English New Testament Interlinear and feel  like an expert at least..

Commentaries: And if you do not like what you read. write your own commentary, for  many other dispensational Brethren  do that.. and join the club here too

Historical, Cultural, Archeological resources”- such as Flavius Josephus, Antiquities of the Jews  .. even though we all can now you can’t really find any accurate, detailed ones.. so that will help you to get really confused, lost. Or is that the real point?

The Jewish interpretation of history refers to the “first Temple period,” which was the period of time before the destruction of Jerusalem in 600 BC. The temple was destroyed and the Jews were uprooted out of the land for their apostasy and idolatry, they had blended Babylonian witchcraft and sorcery into their religion. They were carried away, eventually a remnant returned during the “second Temple period” when they rebuilt the temple during the times of Ezra and Nehemiah. The second Temple period lasted until the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.

According to the Jews there is an ongoing restoration where they are being restored back with God in the promised land, known as the Zionist restoration. They look forward to the Kingdom, the time when they will rule the world. Every Gentile will be their slave. They believe the Bible teaches this, the rabbis teach the same in their Talmud and Kabbalah. But the New testament, Jesus, the Apostle do not teach this at all. Wow

Still the “basic promise of  Dispensationalism is (the supposed) two purposes of God expressed in the formation of two peoples (Jews and gentiles, or Israel and the Church)  who maintain their distinction throughout eternity.”  (This approach would thus not offend the unrepentant Jews but it is still an unbiblical great hoax, a lie)

In direct contrast, Christian theology has always maintained the essential continuity of Israel and the church. The elect of all the ages are seen as one people, with one Savior, one destiny.  This continuity can be shown by examining a few Old Testament prophesies with their fulfillment. Dispensationalists admit that if the church can be shown to be fulfilling promises made to Israel their system is doomed. If the church is fulfilling Israel’s promises as contained in the new covenant or anywhere in the Scriptures, then [dispensational] premillennialism is condemned.

“My brother, I am a constant reader of my Bible, and I soon found that what I was taught to believe (by Darby’s doctrine) did not always agree with what my Bible said. I came to see that I must either part company with John Darby, or my precious Bible, and I chose to cling to my Bible and part from Mr. Darby.” – Reverend George Müeller, a contemporary and  past supporter of Darby  http://dispensationalismrefuted.blogspot.com/

“Perhaps one of the greatest heresies of our day arises from a theological ignorance with respect to the Bible’s teaching on sanctification. While .. Many (Falsely) simply operate under the assumption that obedience, repentance, love for God’s law, and mortification of sin are unnecessary addendums to true faith,  reserved for a special class of “spiritual Christians”, yet still optional for those “carnal Christians” who embrace Christ as Savior but refuse Him as Lord.   How does (anyone,) Ryrie respond to the New Testament texts, especially in the gospels, which so obviously teach that both a change of mind and heart are necessary consequences of justifying faith? … While inconsistent dispensationalists can and do believe in the necessity of repentance, the logical conclusions of classic dispensationalism yield the kind of devastating errors which sees faith as nothing more than a change of mind with regards to the facts of the gospel.  ”  http://covenantgrace.blogspot.com/2008/02/some-of-puritans-believed-that.html

Ongoing continual personal repentance  for sins  is not optional.. but a necessary subjection

(1 Cor 9:27 KJV)  But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

(Heb 12:9 KJV)  Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

(Eph 5:24 KJV)  Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

(1 Pet 3:1 KJV)  Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;  (1 Pet 3:5 KJV)  For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands:

Dispensationalism is a system of theology that was first popularized by John Nelson Darby, 19th century British evangelist and forerunner of modern Christian fundamentalism.   The false  Scofield Reference Bible, written by Cyrus Ingerson Scofield, popularized dispensationalism in the United States.  The world’s Jews must return to Israel for a dispensational interpretation of prophecy to be fulfilled. To facilitate that process, dispensationalists have been leading groups of pilgrims to Israel since Falwell’s first visit in order to win financial and political support for settlement activity. http://www.theocracywatch.org/christian_zionism_dispensationalism.htm

“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the  doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus  Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the  simple.” -Romans 16:17-18 KJV

“Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it  necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all  delivered to the saints. For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out  for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the  only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.” -Jude 1:3-4

The false Brethren wresting of Holy Scriptures to support a line of dispensational reaching contrary to the actual written word of God is still also unacceptable

The Brethren  oft repeated assertion that the present voice of the Holy Spirit is located in the utterance of men is an affront to the Holy Spirit.

“But in vain do they worship me, teaching as their teachings commandments of men. For, leaving the commandment of God, ye hold what is delivered by men to keep”, Mark 7: 7-8.

“Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together unto him, that you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, that the day of Christ is at hand.” — 2 Thess. 2:1,2.Apostle Peter tells us in his second letter (1.16,19-2.3):  For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty …. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place …. Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that brought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you ….(1 Tim 1:7 KJV)  Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.(Heb 5:12 KJV)  For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

Dispensationalists who unacceptably have a very negative view of the latter days, end times on this world,  now it seems to compensate for their often rejections by even main stream Christianity, and   as I have even recently now too often now personally witnessed, even on my sites they  have to still it seems falsely bash, slander, they falsely call others mentally unstable, biblically unsound, not real Christians, lie against the Pentecostals Christians too even in envy it seems cause they  the Pentecostals undeniably are it seems one of the fastest growing group today  in Christianity. These abusive, immoral rather  Brethren who often do hide, disguise them as Gospel, Bible believing Christians only,  are an unacceptable part of the un Holy wars on the net too..  The Brethren dispensational views and related false doctrines have undeniably now been refused, refuted  and not accepted by main stream Christianity too.

DISPENSATIONALISM , AMONGST IT’S UNDENIABLE MANY  BAD, FALSE TEACHINGS  NOW TOO, IS A LIAR’S, A  COWARD’S, A HIRELING’S  FALSE COP OUT, A FALSE EXCUSE FIRSTLY NOT TO REALLY REPENT OF ONE ‘S PERSONAL SINS, FOR ONE NOT TO REALLY FOLLOW AFTER GOD AND HIS WILL FOR THEM, AND FOR ONE FALSELY NOT TO BE CULTURALLY ANDS SOCIALLY INVOLVED IN DEALING WITH THE EVIL  OF THIS WORLD, HOPING TO AVOID PERSECUTING FROM THE JEWS AS WELL BY NOT ASKING THEM TO REPENT, OR TO SEE THEIR NEED OF ACCEPTING JESUS CHRIST AS THEIR MESSIAH, SAVIOR.

Imagine trying to build a whole theological central base  on a few isolated Bible texts too now and  now today, even Jacob and the Brethren too, so he Jacob – Israel who tried to get God’s blessing by deceit with the help of others is still at it today, refusing to admit that the blessings of God now, today, forever are only in, and  through Jesus Christ the Messiah, he is trying to steal his own salvation and the promsied land now.

(Gen 27:19 KJV)  And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy firstborn; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me.

The dispensationalist’s claims  implicitly does involve  them, God in duplicity and Christ in deception and thus no way can they be acceptable works of any REAL, professing Christians

Some persons  recognize and treasure all born again believers who operate within a dispensational framework as brothers and sisters in Christ. whereas IN FACT IN ANY CHURCH IT SEEMS ONLY 30 PERCENT OF THE PERSONS AT THE MOST ARE REAL, BORN AGAIN CHRISTIANS, ESPECIALLY IN THE BRETHREN CHURCHES TOO

(John 8:51 KJV)  Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.

Note the word IF.. all contracts require the continual, ongoing consent, agreement of both parties otherwise it is a false breach of contract.. so why have some groups falsely now left it out?
However, we must remember that Paul loved his fellow apostle Peter and esteemed him the senior and more honored of the two of them. Nevertheless, when it came to a point of theology that had profound implications for the purity and health of the Church, Paul was constrained by his love for Christ and the Truth publicly to withstand Peter to his face. (Galatians 2:11)

Therefore,  out of love  Like the Bereans nearly two thousand years ago, let us “search the Scriptures daily, to see whether these things are so.”

“A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth”  (Proverbs 14:6)

Relgion.. Finding out the facts, discovering the truth

Are any of you, Pastors, elders,  now claiming to be a better teacher, guide than the Holy Spirit himself?

(2 Cor 11:15 KJV)  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

(Mat 7:13 KJV)  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16  Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19  Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24  Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26  And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

(2 Tim 2:15 KJV)  Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

You do not need any others, for you have all the tools you need.. you have at your disposal the Bible, and prayer.. just pray and ask the Holy Sprit himself to guide and lead you into all truth as you read the Bible.. it is as simple as that.

Too many false persons try to define God solely based on their own limited personal experiences, knowledge, and if it did not happen to them it cannot happen to anyone else…

and too many even  lie and say they are experts on something they admit they have never even experienced now too… such as healings, gifts of the Spirit… they are mere pretenders rather too often still.

I also came to the conclusion that the King James Bible is the best version available in the English language today for Bible study, easy reference too. The Bible publishing world is presently involved in a high stakes monetary race to come out with, so called, “newer and better” versions of the English Bible. And, what is their motive? There are countless versions of the English Bible on store shelves today. Is the English language changing so fast that we need a newer translation than the one that came out last month or last year? I think not. They seem to like to push  a different doctrine, and have just as many errors next  it seems as they one they had originally claimed to try to correct.

I also do believe that God inspired the original writings of the Bible, which are called the autographa. There are many verses that teach this. Here are two key verses that I want you to see.

The more important Question is, do you and I really believe it is the word of God or are you looking for another Bible  translation to justify some of your immoral acts, and/or wrong beliefs still too?
Follow after God alone . God speaks too .
The word of God is living and active, it penetrates even to the dividing of soul and spirit.., it judges the thoughts and intents of the heart. Heb 4:12

it does not need a man written books about 200 years ago to speak for it too..
My sheep hear My voice,   and I know them,  and they follow Me.  John 10:27
Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God. Mat4:4 (There is no life without hearing words from the mouth of God.)
(Luke 10:21 KJV)  In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.

As a pastor myself I can for sure also say that only 70 percent of the evangelical pastors are crooked, sex maniacs, adulterous, liars, thieves, gossipers, slanderers, counsel divorce, commit tax evasions too so anyone looking for  a good pastor is like looking for a needle in a haystack. I prefer to talk to Jesus directly thus.
Finding a decent, viable, non cultural, non heretical, non sectarian, non polluted Church these days is also too often also hard. Mind you you have to keep on looking for it. Many claim they are good, like they lip service God they love him too, with mere words.
(2 Chr 16:9 KJV)  For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him
.

(Jer 17:9 KJV)  The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
(Mat 13:15 KJV)  For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

2 Peter 1:20-21 “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation (that is, they did not originate with man). 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”

2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

But, there is also the matter of verbal preservation of the apographa (copies of the originals). I believe that God has preserved His Words in the copies of those original writings in the Hebrew Masoretic Text of the Old Testament and the Traditional Text (Textus Receptus) of the New Testament.

Divine Revelation pluThere are four passages which teach the preservation of the Bible. In the first passage, Isaiah wrote, “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever” (Isaiah 40:8). In the second passage, the Psalmist wrote, “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever” (Psalms 12:6-7). In the third passage, Peter wrote, “But the Word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you” (1st Peter 1:25). In the fourth passage, Jesus said, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away” (Matthew 24:35). The Bible teaches clearly the preservation of the Scriptures.s Divine Inspiration plus Divine Preservation equals the Divine Bible. The Divine Revelation, put into writing the verbally Infallible Scriptures through Divine Inspiration, must have Divine Preservation in order to be available to all generations. . Psalm 12:6-7  KJV reads: The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.  “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Rom 11:17). “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him” (Heb 11:6). Do not trust in the weak words of fallible men; but in the very powerful and ever perfect words of the Holy Scriptures, infallible and inerrant, 100% inspired and 100% preserved by its almighty Author—the Lord Jesus Christ—who is “the same yesterday, today and for ever” (Heb 13:8). We have an immutable God who has given to us an indestructible Word.

Psalms 33:11 “The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.

I too do have FAITH that the God who inspired the original autographs can and did preserve the apographs so that we can say, “Thus saith the Lord; This IS the Word of God” when we hold up our King James Bibles.

Now once again faith even comes mainly by hearing the word of God… not mere man’s words.. God uses his words in the Bible to speak to you by His Holy Spirit as well.. let him.. read the Bible daily prayerfully.

Assemblies of God Pentecostals

The Assemblies of God has its roots in the Pentecostal revival of the early twentieth century. This revival is generally traced to a prayer meeting held under the leadership of Charles Parham, at Bethel Bible College in Topeka, Kansas, on January 1, 1901. The “awakening” or “revival” spread rapidly to Missouri, Texas, California and elsewhere. In 1906, a three year revival meeting under the leadership of William Seymour began at Azusa Street Mission in Los Angeles that attracted believers from around the world. Reports of the revival were carried far and wide by periodicals and other publications that sprang up along with the movement. Independent revivals also began to break out during this time in other parts of the world. The Pentecostal aspects of the revival were not generally welcomed by established churches, and participants in the movement soon found themselves forced outside existing religious bodies. These people sought out their own places of worship, and founded hundreds of distinctly Pentecostal congregations.  Many of these congregations sought to partner with existing religious movements, such as the Christian and Missionary Alliance, but many Pentecostals left following controversy over the doctrine of “The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit“. These early leaders where licensed as ministers by Charles Harrison Mason, founder of the Church of God in Christ, a predominately African-American denomination. It is possible that the Church of God in Christ provided initial credentials to the mostly white Pentecostals who would later form the Assemblies of God. [7]. Jim Crow laws of the South and other racial cultural norms of the early 19th century America contributed to the early demise of racial unity with these Pentecostal leaders with the predominately African-American Church of God in Christ denomination.

The Assemblies of God experienced a schism early in their history when they adopted the Statement of Fundamental Truths affirming their belief in the orthodox doctrine of the Trinity at their Fourth General Council in October 1916 in St. Louis. Those that withdrew from the fellowship were known as “Oneness or Jesus Only Pentecostals”, who believed in baptizing “in the name of Jesus Christ” and not “in the name of The Father, The Son, and the Holy Ghost/Spirit.” This schism caused the loss of approximately one-fourth of recognized A/G ministers, including all but one minister in the state of Louisiana (Rev. George Harrison remained with the Assemblies of God).

In 1988, the loose body of cooperative councils joined under the name World Pentecostal Assemblies of God Fellowship as result of an initiative by Dr. J. Philip Hogan, then executive director of the Division of Foreign Missions of the General Council of the Assemblies of God of the United States. The initial purpose was to coordinate evangelism, but soon developed into a more permanent organism of inter-relation. Dr. Hogan was elected the first chairman of the Fellowship and served until 1992 when Rev. David Yonggi Cho was elected chairman. In 1993, the name of the Fellowship was changed to the World Assemblies of God Fellowship.[9]

 Doctrine

Two years after the church’s founding, the pioneers of the Assemblies of God adopted a set of core beliefs for the Fellowship, which remain virtually unchanged. These are known as “The 16 Fundamental Truths.” The Assemblies’ doctrines are summarized in its Statement of Fundamental Truths.[10]

Numerous Christian groups share some or all of these tenets — and some positions (like the Trinity) are considered more central to the faith than others. Of these sixteen, four are considered “core beliefs of the Fellowship”, or “Cardinal Doctrines.” These are:

  • Salvation Through Jesus Christ
  • Baptism in the Holy Spirit
  • Divine Healing
  • The Second Coming of Christ

These statements of belief have a biblical basis and are considered non-negotiable. Below is a summary of the Assemblies of God’s doctrinal positions and biblical references which are used to back up these statements.

 16 Fundamental Truths

source: Our 16 Fundamental Truths – General Council of the Assemblies of God – AG.org

1. The Scriptures Inspired – The Scriptures, both the Old Testament and New Testament, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21)

2. The One True God – The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent “I AM”, the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10,11, Matthew 28:19, Luke 3:22)

The AG doctrine clarifies the position of The Adorable Godhead into ten detailed sub-categories:
  • Defining the “persons” or Trinity of the Godhead (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, John 14:16-17)
  • Distinction and Relationship in the Godhead – three persons, one God (Luke 1:35, 1 Corinthians 1:24, Matthew 11:25-27, Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, 1 John 1:3-4)
  • Unity of the One Being of Father, Son and Holy Spirit (John 1:18, John 15:26, John 17:11, John 17:21, Zechariah 14:9)
  • Identity and Cooperation in the Godhead (John 5:17-30, John 5:32, John 5:37, John 8:17,18)
  • The Title, Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 1:1-3, 2 John 1:3)
  • The Lord Jesus Christ, God with Us (Matthew 1:23, 1 John 4:2, 1 John 4:10, 1 John 4:14, Revelation 1:13, Revelation 1:17)
  • The Title, Son of God (Matthew 1:21-23, 2 John 1:3, 1 John 3:8, Hebrews 7:3, Hebrews 1:1-13)
  • Transgression of the Doctrine of Christ (2 John 1:9, John 1:1-2, John 1:14, John 1:18, John 1:29, John 1:49, 1 John 2:22-23, 1 John 4:1-5, Hebrews 12:2)
  • Exaltation of Jesus Christ as Lord (Hebrews 1:3, 1 Peter 3:22, Acts 2:32-36, Romans 14:11, 1 Corinthians 15:24-28)
  • Equal Honor to the Father and to the Son (John 5:22-23, 1 Peter 1:8, Revelation 5:6-14, Philippians 2:8-9, Revelation 7:9-10, Revelation 4:8-11)

3. The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ – The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. The Scriptures declare:

4. The Fall of Man – Man was created good and upright; for God said, “Let us make man in our own image, after our likeness.” However, man by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God. (Genesis 1:26,27, Genesis 2:17, Genesis 3:6, Romans 5:12-19)

5. The Salvation of Man – Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God.

  • Conditions to Salvation – Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, being justified by grace through faith, man becomes an heir of God, according to the hope of eternal life. (Luke 24:47, John 3:3, Romans 10:13-15, Ephesians 2:8, Titus 2:11, Titus 3:5-7)
  • The Evidence of Salvation – The inward evidence of salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit. (Romans 8:16)
  • The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness. (Ephesians 4:24, Titus 2:12)

6. The Ordinances of the Church

  • Baptism in Water – The ordinance of baptism by immersion is commanded by the Scriptures. All who repent and believe on Christ as Saviour and Lord are to be baptized. Thus they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:16, Acts 10:47,48, Romans 6:4)
  • Holy CommunionThe Lord’s Supper, consisting of the elements –bread and the fruit of the vine– is the symbol expressing our sharing the divine nature of our Lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:4 ), a memorial of his suffering and death (1 Corinthians 11:26 ), and a prophecy of His second coming (1 Corinthians 11:26 ), and is enjoined on all believers “till He come!”

7. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit – All believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all in the early Christian Church. With it comes the enduement of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry. (Luke 24:49, Acts 1:4, Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 12:1-31) This experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth. (Acts 8:12-17, Acts 10:44-46, Acts 11:14-16, Acts 15:7-9)

With the baptism in the Holy Spirit come such experiences as:

  • an overflowing fullness of the Spirit, (John 7:37-39, Acts 4:8)
  • a deepened reverence for God (Acts 2:43, Hebrews 12:28)
  • an intensified consecration to God and dedication to His work (Acts 2:42)
  • and a more active love for Christ, for His Word and for the lost (Mark 16:20)

8. The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit – The baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives them utterance. (Acts 2:4). The speaking in tongues in this instance is the same in essence as the gift of tongues, but is different in purpose and use. (1 Corinthians 12:4-10, 1 Corinthians 12:28)

9. Sanctification – Sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God. (Romans 12:1,2, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Hebrews 13:12) The Scriptures teach a life of “holiness without which no man shall see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14) By the power of the Holy Spirit we are able to obey the command: “Be ye holy, for I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:15,16)

Sanctification is realized in the believer by recognizing his identification with Christ in His death and resurrection, and by the faith reckoning daily upon the fact of that union, and by offering every faculty continually to the dominion of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 6:1-11, Romans 6:13, Romans 8:1,2, Romans 8:13, Galatians 2:20, Philippians 2:12,13, 1 Peter 1:5)

10. The Church and its Mission – The Church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her Great Commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn, which are written in heaven. (Ephesians 1:22,23, Ephesians 2:22, Hebrews 12:23)

Since God’s purpose concerning man is to seek and to save that which is lost, to be worshipped by man, and to build a body of believers in the image of His Son, the priority reason for being of the Assemblies of God as part of the Church is:

  • To be an agency of God for evangelizing the world. (Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:19,20, Mark 16:15,16)
  • To be a corporate body in which man may worship God (1 Corinthians 12:13)
  • To be a channel of God’s purpose to build a body of saints being perfected in the image of His Son. (Ephesians 4:11-16, 1 Corinthians 12:28, 1 Corinthians 14:12)

The Assemblies of God exists expressly to give continuing emphasis to this reason for being in the New Testament apostolic pattern by teaching and encouraging believers to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. This experience:

  • Enables them to evangelize in the power of the Spirit with accompanying supernatural signs. (Mark 16:15-20, Acts 4:29-31, Hebrews 2:3,4)
  • Adds a necessary dimension to worshipful relationship with God. (1 Corinthians 2:10-16, 1 Corinthians 12, 1 Corinthians 13, 1 Corinthians 14)
  • Enables them to respond to the full working of the Holy Spirit in expression of fruit and gifts and ministries as in New Testament times for the edifying of the body of Christ. (Galatians 5:22-26, 1 Corinthians 14:12, Ephesians 4:11,12, 1 Corinthians 12:28, Colossians 1:29)

11. The Ministry – A divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for the threefold purpose of leading the Church in:

  • Evangelization of the world. (Mark 16:15-20)
  • Worship of God. (John 4:23,24)
  • Building a body of saints being perfected in the image of His Son. (Ephesians 4:11-16)

12. Divine Healing – Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers. (Isaiah 53:4,5, Matthew 8:16,17, James 5:14-16)

13. The Blessed Hope – The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the church. (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17, Romans 8:23, Titus 2:13, 1 Corinthians 15:51,52)

14. The Millennial Reign of Christ – The Second Coming of Christ includes the rapture of the saints, which is our blessed hope, followed by the visible return of Christ with His saints to reign on earth for one thousand years. (Zechariah 14:5, Matthew 24:27, Matthew 24:30, Revelation 1:7, Revelation 19:11-14, Revelation 20:1-6)

  • This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel, (Ezekiel 37:21,22, Zephaniah 3:19,20, Romans 11:26,27)
  • and the establishment of universal peace. (Isaiah 11:6-9, Psalms 72:3-8, Micah 4:3,4)

15. The Final Judgment – There will be a final judgment in which the wicked dead will be raised and judged according to their works. Whosoever is not found written in the Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, will be consigned to the everlasting punishment in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Matthew 25:46, Mark 9:43-48, Revelation 19:20, Revelation 20:11-15, Revelation 21:8)

16. The New Heavens and the New Earth – “We, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.” (2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 21, Revelation 22)

The Assemblies of God  Pentecostal supporters, members are noted for their opposition to the Florida Lakeland revival, and to the Latter day movement.. and I  rightfully as I do dislike their too often abusive unchristian like posts too.. but why the opposition?  Jealous? How wordly, ungoldy? It supposedly competes with their own revival?
“I have just returned from Buffalo and am now home in Pensacola. What awesome services on Sunday! Pastor Tommy Reid said to his congregation, “There are moments when God moves in a church and today is one of them!” I am always humbled when the Lord moves. From the first service at 8 am to the last service at 11:30 God moved in all three. The first service, which is mainly seniors, had a wonderful sense of God’s power! As I prayed for the saints of the church, each one fell under the power of God! How humbling! When the second service crowd started to move into the sanctuary they saw their beloved seniors prostrate out on the floor! That’s enough to build anyone’s faith. I had the privilege of praying for probably another two to three hundred people. The second service rolled right into the third service which is primarily a multi cultural service. God was faithful and moved again touching lives at the altar! http://www.brownsville-revival.org/”

and like many other Pentecostals, Alliance, Baptist, Evangelcial Churches they falsey do not include helping poor people in their own churches as an essential Christian  doctrine now too? why?

(Rom 15:26 KJV)  For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.

(2 Cor 9:9 KJV)  (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.

(Gal 2:10 KJV)  Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.

(James 2:5 KJV)  Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?

(James 2:6 KJV)  But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats?
