I guess they took whatever was in the bank account, even though the pastor was left without a job. They did not show any sympathy for our little church closing…so I can understand a little about how this Vietnamese church felt.” 
 
 I am a Pentecostal Minister who attended the Alliance Churches for 8 years.. These below are some of my most popular post about the CHRISTIAN & MISSIONARY ALLIANCE  being read by many on many of my internet sites..
 
It is very ironic that I have often said that if you really want to know how spiritual someone is, do first see how they do in regard their emphasis on the  importance of money, for their related greed for it will show their true spiritual values, or rather the lack of it. It is thus  interesting that the CMA disputes causing News headlines was over money. Many persons already are too often rightfully complaining that too many evangelical pastors even are too often still  greedy for filthy lucre, and they really do not care about the spiritual welfare, physical needs of others.
 
It is absurd for anyone to now even to try to hoodwink me as to how supposedly spiritually the Christian Missionary Alliance Church is as well, rather in truth the CMA Corporation now is supposedly. It would not work for I already do know the much too many negative truths about the CMA  firsthand and for many decades now too. No amount of whitewash can cover up their real dirty plays still too as I have seen firsthand.

In a major lawsuit, the Mid America District of the Christian & Missionary Alliance (hereafter C&MA) was named by a group of former members of the Chinese Alliance Church of Colorado Springs. The C&MA is one of the largest Evangelical Protestant Christian denominations, with 2,010 C&MA churches in the U.S., and 440 in Canada, with approximately 417,000 members in the United States. The Plaintiff has alleged that the C&MA conspired to defraud and subsequently confiscate and convert their $650,000 church property and assets and emptied their approximately $18,000 in bank accounts, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, U.S.A. The Defendant, C&MA Mid America District Headquarters office, is located in Omaha, Nebraska. C&MA National Church Ministries Vice President Rev. This is not unique. The Chinese church is just one of the more recent victims of the C&MA’s Church Growth Movement Church Multiplication, Church Health formulas for measuring spirituality, and Small Group grand strategies being implemented in the U.S., and Canada to takeover and transform churches. After the C&MA had given the Chinese Alliance Church of Colorado Springs an ultimatum of 15 months to redevelop, the lawsuit alleges that they reneged on it in 3 months. After closing the church down, the C&MA wouldn’t even let them keep their Chinese translation Bibles and library (refusing to return them even upon request in writing). After about 18 months the C&MA put the property on the market and sold the property to a Karate company. Named in the lawsuit are: Christian & Missionary Alliance, Randall Burg, District Superintendent for the Mid America District of the C&MA, the Mid America District of the C&MA, and Dr. Robert Trempert, Interim Pastor just prior to the closing of the church. This C&MA District includes Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. The Plaintiff also alleges that the C&MA secured and conveyed the deed without informing the congregation, then used unfounded charges to evict the whole congregation, which was about 30 regular attendees, and closed down the church and threw them out on the street. It is also the intent of former members of this church to alert and warn all C&MA churches, the church at large, and the Asian community throughout the world, that this could happen to them too! We are grateful to the many members of the national media have already asked to run this story even before this press release went out. These Chinese Christians and how the C&MA applied the Reversion Clause of its constitution to this church feels like this a “mortgage made in Hell”…you have to make mortgage payments to the C&MA [or its own approved lender], including interest…then when the building is paid off in half of the 15 year mortgage, you the borrower get to (have to) give the C&MA lender the building and property too…what a deal! Many of these older saints who came from Communist China where they were persecuted hoped that this could not happen in the U.S., let alone at the hands of the church. They found out they were wrong! On July 1, 2006, members of The Chinese Alliance Church of Colorado Springs discovered that the locks on their building had been changed when attempting to attend a prayer meeting. One Sunday, July 2, 2006, the congregrants came to worship and found out they were evicted from their own building, with the knowledge and consent, the Alliance, MAD, Burg, and Trempet proceeded to lock the Chinese Church out of its own building. Instead of taking care of widows and the homeless, the C&MA leaders created them, while simultaneously blaming these victims. Someone did come to their rescue and hear their Chinese church’s SOS cries for help. There was a good Samaritan in Colorado Springs who showed great mercy and provided shelter for these approximately 30 fleeing Chinese refugee saints and helped them get back on their feet again, and that was Pastor David Fitzgerald and the Garden Ranch Baptist Church. Then the Garden Ranch Baptist Church gave immediate relief under emergency powers, then helped them redevelop church polity and comply with requirements of the State of Colorado and the IRS to start a new church…all in a period of about six months…without strings attached.” “Contrary to what C&MA leaders would have you do, and that is hear the victims side of the story vs. just the perpetrators, as good Christians and good Bereans, you should want to read the other side of the story for yourselves.” 
 
 
 To make it simple or appealing to the ignorant the CMA has simplified their doctrines, Jesus Christ as Savior, Healer, Coming King, Sanctifier too… but what is really totally absent and very very significant.. is that they don’t mention often or at all  Jesus as the helper of the poor people.. and  what they do not practice giving aid, money to the poor people in their own church, rather when they become poor they kick them out instead? They CMA executives they only still help themselves?
 
In regard to the CHRISTIAN & MISSIONARY ALLIANCE I myself have encountered pastors, district superintendents too both IN QUEBEC AND IN ALBERTA AND I TOO WAS SHOCKED FIRST HAND TO NOTE HOW THEY DO READILY LIE, ABUSE PEOPLE, ARE RUTHLESS, REAL FACTS I HAVE A LONG TIME AGO BEFORE ALL THIS HAD DETAILED EVEN ON THE WEB, TO CANADA’S MAJOR NEWS EDITORS, THE CANADIAN GOVERNMENTS NOW TOO.
 
Notice this before you next even do try to lie to me and say how good they are firstly. For you cannot deny my personal witness of how bad they are.
 
To be honest, and to be fair to all of the supposedly Christian pastors too,  at least 70 percent of all North American evangelical pastors they are certainly also not anointed  by the Holy Sprit, even the fundamental, Baptist ones now too, for they have not been called by God for  the ministry, and they are still only Hirelings, so it is not surprising that 70 percent of them had committed adultery too… Never mind their cheating, lying stealing now too.
  
I was shocked as to how many Evangelical pastors That I  know  personally had committed adultery, and I caught one reading dirty books at the local airport too.
 
 Most people also  are not aware that the Canadian Pentecostal assemblies of Canada churches PAOC are a break away from the Christian Missionary Alliance church firstly and they have a very similar church management structure, a corporation with a corporate president even that does not disclose all the expenditures to the all of the donators now too. .. not your expected  congregationally managed, owned local church .. Yes the same Christian Missionary alliance church, rather Corporation.. the bad so called church that our Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper goes too. The Christian and Missionary Alliance (COMA) is an Evangelical Protestant denomination within Christianity. Founded by Rev. Albert Benjamin Simpson in 1887, the Christian & Missionary Alliance did not start off as a denomination, but rather began as two distinct Para church organizations: The Christian Alliance which focused on the pursuit and promotion of the Higher Christian life and The Evangelical Missionary Alliance, which focused on mobilizing “consecrated” Christians in the work of foreign missionary efforts. These two groups amalgamated in 1897 to form The Christian and Missionary Alliance. It was only much later during the mid twentieth century that an official denomination was formed. See my posts on the CMA.. It is owned and controlled by a Corporation. The Pentecostal Assembly of Canada, PAOC broke away from this corporation and formed it’s own corporation, so called church..
 
Sow the wrong seed and you can also next reap a whirl wind , church pastors included now, and there is really no such thing as a little bit allowable sins for pastors included, no such thing as being a  little bit pregnant here too.. and it is still clearly unacceptable for any Pastors to counsel a man’s wife behind his back and without his knowledge, approval,  permission, but even this sadly an unacceptable  common occurrence in evangelical churches now too, even in the Baptist, Alliance and Pentecostals churches now too.. and this is how the war against the perverse pastors’ of the Toronto airport church and other similar bad churches  had next escalated. When any spouse starts to talk to others about their family affairs they now are next definitely  headed towards divorce wars as well..
  
 The ends seem to justify the means for some. In the secular world it is common to contact your employer to try to put pressure on you when you disagree with a corporation, but in the religious world it is an unacceptable  common ploy for bad undeniably pastors with no fear and accountably as well  too often to try meddle into your family affairs, to try to seduce,  counsel your own wife behind your back and knowledge, trying to divide and conquer as many persons have told  me, they had the same bad experiences too, me included. 
 
THIS IS SPIRITUAL ABUSE!

The divorce and alienation of my family has been forced upon me and upon my family by evil men who would have their way with a man, his wife, and his children and grandchildren in order to promote and protect their own preeminence in lieu of protecting and building up the holy institution of marriage and family life.”  Divorce falsely supported  by evangelicals, dispensationalist brethren included..
 
 
The kind of abuse that Jesus condemned over and over again in the strongest ways possible!
 
“Now the relevance of all this, as brought to the attention of Justice Jarvis the friction between Walter and Sandra about Metro church, is pastor’s Jim Paul and family unauthorized intrusion into Walter’s marriage and life which resulted in a police call to 911 on October 30, 2005 as Jim Paul’s brother in law and sister refused to get out of my home when they barged in uninvited! In addition when Rick Meyers complained in an email to Pastor John Arnott that Jim Paul was not a marriage counselor and had no business or right to counsel only Sandra without Walter’s permission or knowledge, Pastor Steve Long took it upon himself to slander Walter Kambulow to Rick Meyers and refused to retract or substantiate his words in spite of many emails by Mr Kambulow to TACF on the subject ( See Appendix B REJECTION OF NOTICE OF MOTION (Milton) December 27, 2007 Court File No: 6447/07 ) and chose instead to sue Walter Kambulow to try and silence him! ”  and Walter or his wife Sandy  is no saint too.. nor his supporters too, or oppositions, none of these people here are really saints now as well..
 
“The ignorance of the Bible and the works of the Holy Spirit have placed many people, churches, radio and television ministries, and itinerant ministries in jeopardy for their very existence because they are so desperate for success, numbers and money that they are ready to chase after any experience or anybody whom they think will attract people to them. There are many people today who do not know their Scriptures and the penalties that come from straying away from them. They are like the Sadducees of whom Jesus said, “You are wrong, because you know neither the scriptures nor the power of God” (Matt. 22: 29; Mk. 12: 24).” 

Their ignorance of the Bible is alone not the issue, most Christians, church leaders  also wrongfully personally do pick and choose what parts of the Bible they will practice, and which one they will not. All professing Christians daily need to practice what they know, even the ten commandments.
 
I went to a Church for the first time in the Calgary NW Suburb AND I KNEW AFTER ONE SERVICE THE EVANGELICAL PASTOR WAS A CROOK, A LIAR.. My friends insisted I return to the church, but in the process they had told me that the pastor was lying about me, slandering me to others, even to them as well.. This has often happened to me by pastors of other churches, in Calgary, Montréal too, seems the much too many bad pastors like to slander and Gossip. At the next church service I had shared openly with the congregation at the end of the service that their pastor had been accused of lying, slandering me, and even stealing,  misappropriation of funds , lying also by others. The majority of Congregation members disagreed. Ten years later there was a knock on the door of my home and one of the church members told me face to face the same Calgary NW pastor was fired for lying, stealing funds. I always had wondered why it took them so long to see the truth about him?
 
Christians doing still dirty works and hiding behind titles, corporate names still is also unacceptable… does not impress me at all.    My door bell rang and a person was there asking for donations to World Vision Canada, asking me if I had heard of it? Have I personally heard of it?  a vice president of this corporation that I had personally known, been to his home too had already lied about me, slandered me, spread other people’s lies about me.. He was an ex Christian & Missionary Alliance Missionary NOW AS WELL. Like I said many times before God still  expects all professing Christians to live a godly  life, not just pretend they do… God does not overlook human right abuses even by so called Christians now too.. for God is not impressed by what Church they go to, where they work, and what fancy title they may have now as well.
 
Is 2:22 Cease to trust in [weak, frail, and dying] man, whose breath is in his nostrils [for so short a time]; in what sense can he be counted as having intrinsic worth?
  
1 Cor 1:10 -13 says, “Now I beseech you, brethren, BY THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, that ye all speak the same thing, and [that] there be no divisions among you; (sects or denominations) but [that] ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
    
How can you love and serve two masters? The Bible says you can’t. Whose name will you serve? In the name of Jesus, or in some man-made sectarian name? “And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served….BUT AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD.” Josh 24:15.

“In another act of piracy, the Christian & Missionary Alliance collects more booty from Vietnamese Boat People Christians than it would have by ransacking them on the high seas. This hostile takeover is on the heels of a major lawsuit filed by a group of former members of the Chinese Alliance Church of Colorado Springs against the Christian and Missionary Alliance denomination. On March 24, 2008, the C&MA, once again in a gesture of unbridled greed, seized the $90,000 bank account of another C&MA church, the Vietnamese Alliance Church of Long Beach, California. Reminiscent of what the C&MA did to the Chinese Alliance church, members of the Vietnamese church discovered that the locks on their church were changed, too, effectively rendering members as trespassers on their own property. I had attended this church in Canada for over 8 years, and not by a long shot can they be even considered a Christian Church.. thieves, liars, slanderers, home breakers yes.

Most C&MA pastors retaliated in response to my report, showing virtually no compassion for the plight of the Chinese Christians who lost their property, Bibles, and assets to the C&MA leaders. It will be interesting to see how they will respond now that the C&MA leaders did it again by picking off and poaching another Asian American church without even catching their breath, or ever repenting for what they did to the Chinese Alliance church (one response has already come in from Senior Pastor Tom Lance of The Grove Community Church, retaliating and censoring his own staff from hearing the truth, just like Daniel Wetzel did— see full report available upon request). It is the intent of many members of the Vietnamese Alliance church to alert and warn all C&MA churches, the church at large, and the Asian community throughout the world, that this could happen to them too! Now that it has happened twice, maybe they will be believed and even more will run stories on this second hijacking.
 
Swindlers, slanderers, traitors, and plunderers can’t enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but they can become and remain District Superintendents in the Christian and Missionary Alliance, and host them May 5-7, 2008 [http://www.cmaspd.org/]. In refusing to repent, showing no remorse or shame, refusing correction, and refusing restitution after plundering the Chinese Alliance Church, then doing it again to the Vietnamese Alliance Church, C&MA Vice President John Soper and his C&MA collaborators are without excuse and are spiritually twice dead. They are “Bad Samaritans from Hell” vs. Good Samaritans who take care of victims instead of creating them. The Apostle Peter said that “true religion is ministry to orphans and widows.” The C&MA is not ministering to orphans and widows when C&MA churches all stand to lose their bank accounts, church property and Bibles to the C&MA leadership. No wonder that the Prophet Isaiah warned the people: woe to false shepherds, derelict guardians, imaginary public protectors like these C&MA leaders ‘who call evil good’. And boy I was surprised next  with the Unchristian response on the web by Alliance supporters, who went into spin doctoring mode, even the for them it is bashings of others  to try to cover any of this up too.. easier to repent and rightfully too. 
 
An Alliance pastor had written to me and he had said.. “Thank you for your passion for the Church and fellow Christians. I’m a C& MA pastor and speaking from my heart, I simply want to serve God and shepherd His people without personal agenda. I always ask to God to lead me and give wisdom in godly living and ministry. I’m bothered by your comments about the majority of pastors being morally corrupted. On what ground did you say that 80% are not anointed and 70% commit adultery? and cheating, stealing, lying? It is heavy accusation toward those who commit full time to serve God. Please be careful and objective before you made those statement. Provide solid evidence and reference is one way to support your argument. I know many evangelical pastors who are dedicated good and faithful servants. Otherwise, this will only damage the Church without doing good. FYI, indeed the C&MA as a denomination does have strict requirement for pastors/ministers and bylaws for district and its churches. Also, I’m not the right person to comment on the lawsuit. However, if we trust the justice system, why don’t we wait for the trial and verdict before reading too much into it. ”

Where in the world did so many of evangelical pastors wrongfully get the idea they personally now are beyond any rightful criticism? rebuke, corrections? Certainly not from God.

The first CMA pastor I met was an admitted coward, who had also told me that he had not made yet a full commitment in having Jesus Christ as the Lord of his life. His own wife was a slanderer, gossiper. His own daughter who lived with him was an admitted adulterer. The same pastor was also a home wrecker. He had also next tried to have me kicked out of the local church cause he was fearful of me, and in return was forced to resign by the local church board for trying to do so. And that was just the start of my bad introduction to the CMA.
 
The next CMA pastor I met was a con man, a shrewd salesmen, a story teller, who played mind games on other people, and he thus did not effect the people with any real, long lasting positive changes.
 
The next CMA pastor I met was an abusive person, even a thief, and he had a short lived ministry in the local church. The next CMA pastor I encountered in the same church was another Christian pretender, even a person who took bribes, was known to fellowship with a crook, a liar, an abusive person too. He was not any better.
 
And the first CMA district superintendent I had met was a con man, a shyster, manipulator who went on to be the president of the Canadian CMA too.
 
The next 6 CMA pastors in one church, district superintendents also were also con men, pretenders, imposters, unreal Christians, even unacceptable people abusers, even liars, slanders, gossipers, bashers of others.
 
The next too many bad CMA pastors I had personally interviewed openly admitted to me they did not use the Bible in counseling even, and thus they were mostly useless spiritually here too.
 
(Jer 6:27 KJV) I have set thee for a tower and a fortress among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way.
(Jer 6:28 KJV) They are all grievous revolters, walking with slanders: they are brass and iron; they are all corrupters.

AND WE ALL SHOULD BE BOTHERED ABOUT THE 70 PERCENT BAD PASTORS.
 
 IT WAS MY FIRST CMA pastor who had told me that 70 percent of the pastors were bad, and it is statistics, andf my own DECADES OF experiences that confirm that 70 percent of Evangelical pastors wrongfully counsel divorce, commit adultery, cheat, lie. SLANDER, ABUSE, and steal as well.
 
This CMA itself is the most diabolic church I have dealt with in my lifetime in the last 50 years too.. and I have helped to fire many adulterous, bad pastors now too.. I have met many crooked CMA church pastors now too.. I had attended the CMA for 8 years, that same church that often cheats, lies, steals, slanders, abuses people, breaks UP HOME, MARRIAGES TOO.. and no one publically denied it when I had stood up in the Calgary First Alliance Church and told them what a liar their perverted senior pastor now was tool. No one! Every major news editor in Canada all 1000 elected politicians for years now too got detailed descriptions of how crooked this church, excuse me a crooked corporation really is and no one denied it too. Now have known two CMA presidents as well, many CMA pastors and I have never met a decent, honest one yet in Canada STILL too. No one had before you to this date had denied my witness of how bad this church was, no one. FOR THEY CANNOT DENY MY WITNESS OF IT.
 
I DO have many internet sites, including  those specifically WRITTEN FOR THE BAD, CROOKED EVANGELICAL PASTORS TOO.. and I do rightfully wonder whose ass you are trying to kiss now by defending THE CMA wrongfully too. I rightfully have no use for them at all! Tell them all I have said so openly too.
 
The CMA is a pretentious church, a racist church, a discriminating church, an anti female church too, a lying church .. and in Jesus own words, the rich who persecute the poor.. Allaince AB Simpson and AW Tozer would be really disgusted with the CMA just like me too with it.. Jesus is not King, Lord of this bad CMA church for sure… and really do they help the local poor people in their own churches, and give them 15 percent of the income.. not on your life.. they are imposters, pretenders..

Many people often ask is the c&ma against female pastors, Natives, Women as well? More likley the clergy,  are  against all laymen here.. it clearly, falsely  is a 2 level Christianity.. the Uppers and the Lowers… more like a dictatorship

I have been writing about Canada’s  Evangelical Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his really bad Christian Missionary Alliance Church and I  also wrote about his clearly often unchristian behavior since he became a prime minister even to all, on the net too, 
 
And what is the secret part of it? That too many Evangelicals are ashamed of him for drinking alcohol? Giving it to others too..  

Insiders knew that the Latter rain Canadian evangelist in Lakeland Florida Rev Todd Bentley had gone of the deep end a long time ago much time before it became public, as usual too..  but they could not hide it forever..

Are Stephen Harper and Peter MacKay in reality now even alcoholics, liberal evangelicals who do consume wines, and offer it to others, and do they distribute porn now as well to others?
 
Genuine Born Again Evangelical Christians are total abstainers from smoking, drugs, alcohol, cheating, lying, stealing, tax evasions, pornography, or rather all personal vices, Impairments.. and what about Harper, Mackay?
 
But in Reality! These days it is too hard to tell the difference between secular persons and even evangelical pastors, Christians they seem to do the same things too. Especaily in Politics where a bad Conservative is just as bad as a bad Liberal.

All of these are aggressive, provoking, one sided questions  are what  some people want to know about you in terms of the upcoming election

1. Do you believe in the anti-Christ?
2. Do you believe we’re living in the end times?
3. Do you believe that Jesus will return in your lifetime?
4. Do you believe that true Christians have to battle Satanic agents in the End Times?
5. Do you see yourself as a warrior for Christ as part of a new Apostolic movement?

God’s Word provides us with all the purpose and direction that we could ever need. God also gives us something more to be able to live the Christian life, he also gives us the anointing of the Holy Spirit,. The bad churches deny both, the bad Anglican churches included. Bad pastors, bad elders also bad churches even professing Christina, evangelical churches such as the Christian Missionary Alliance, Dispensational Brethren ones, others too, use the   “BAIT AND SWITCH” approach.. the next falsely deviate from the Bible’s teaching.. (Isa 2:22 KJV)  Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?

 WE ARE A BAD LOT, WE SONS OF ADAM. One convincing proof of our inherent badness is the way we manage to turn good into evil and make our very blessings a curse to us.  Indeed I think a strong case can be made for the belief that sin is merely righteousness in reverse and evil but perverted good.  Sin is at bottom the abuse of things in themselves innocent, an illegitimate use of legitimate gifts.

We Christians are cut from the same bolt as the rest of mankind, and while we have been made partakers of a new nature we have not yet been entirely divested of the old.  For this reason we are under constant temptation to lapse into the flesh and manifest the old nature rather than the new.  I know the arguments against this, but they have never seemed very convincing to me, especially when those who advance them are as likely as not to reveal pretty plain evidences of the old nature before the argument is ended.

Because we are so very human there is real danger that we may inadvertently do the human thing and turn our blessings upside down.  Unless we watch and pray in dead earnest we may turn our good into evil and make the grace of God a trap instead of a benefit.

Among the purest gifts we have received from God is truth.  Another gift almost as precious, and without which the first would be meaningless, is our ability to grasp truth and appreciate it.  For these priceless treasures we should be profoundly grateful; for them our thanks should rise to the Giver of all good gifts throughout the day and in the night seasons.  And because these and all other blessings flow to us by grace without merit or worth on our part, we should be very humble and watch with care lest such undeserved favors, if unappreciated, be taken from us.

Men are notoriously lacking in gratitude. Bible history reveals that Israel often took God’s gifts too casually and so turned their blessings into a curse.  This human fault appears also in the New Testament, and the activities of Christians through the centuries show that as Christ was followed by Satan in the wilderness so truth is often accompanied by a strong temptation to pride.  The very truth that makes men free may be and often is fashioned into chains to keep them in bondage.  And never forget it: there is no pride so insidious and yet so powerful as the pride of orthodoxy.

Snobbery is the child of pride.  Pride at first may be eager and ambitious as it tries to make a place for itself or to prove that it has already attained that place.  Later it loses its eager quality and becomes defensive.  Finally it ceases to struggle or defend and accepts its own image of itself as something too well established for discussion and too beautiful to improve.  When it reaches that stage it has produced a snob, and no snob is ever aware that he is one.

The snob whose claim to superiority is her material possessions is a comical figure, but because she is so pathetic she may with some effort be tolerated.  The snob whose glory lies in her ancestors is less easy to endure, but she may be dismissed with the remark that since all she has to be proud of is her forebears the best part of her is under ground. But what shall we say of the intellectual snob? He is unbearable, a man difficult to love and impossible to like.  A new school of evangelical Christianity has come up of late which appears to me to be in grave danger of producing a prime crop of intellectual snobs.  The disciples of this school are orthodox in creed, if by that we mean that they hold the fundamental tenets of the historic faith; but right there the similarity of their school to New Testament Christianity ends.  Their spirit is quite other than the spirit of the early church.

This new breed of Christian may be identified by certain field marks.  One is the habit of puffing out the chest and uttering a noise that sounds suspiciously like crowing.  Another is the habit of nesting so high that ordinary Christians have difficulty in locating the aerie, and when they do they are unable to climb to it.  Then, the song is also quite noticeable in that it consists almost wholly of imitations.  Rarely does one of them manage to give forth an original note, but each one waits to hear what Barth or Brunner or Bultmann or Tillich has to say and then imitates it as nearly as possible, only transposing it into the orthodox key.  Their mating call is a shrill “Me too! Me too!” which may be heard any time between September and June ringing through the halls of various institutions of evangelical higher learning.

What is overlooked by this new school is that truth is not mental only but moral.  The Apostles’ Creed quoted in pride, though true, is not true for the one who thus quotes it; one indispensable quality is missing—humility.  A theological fact becomes a spiritual truth only when it is received by a humble mind.  The proud mind, however orthodox, can never know spiritual truth.  Light means nothing to a blind man.

In the Christian life we know most when we know that we do not know, and we understand best when we know that we understand little and that there is much that we will never understand.  In the Scriptures knowledge is a kind of experience and wisdom has a moral content.  Knowledge without humility is vanity.  The religious snob is devoid of truth. Snobbery and truth are irreconcilable.
