(2 Th 2:1 KJV) Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

Instead of being paralyzed with the fear of the upcoming antichrist and his bad works ..We all need to be doing good works with Jesus Christ and his Holy Spirit now..
(Neh 2:18 KJV) Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king’s words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.
(Mat 26:10 KJV) When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.
(2 Cor 9:8 KJV) And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
(Phil 1:6 KJV) Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
(Col 1:10 KJV) That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
(1 Tim 3:1 KJV) This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
(1 Tim 5:10 KJV) Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints’ feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.
(2 Tim 2:21 KJV) If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
(Titus 1:16 KJV) They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
(Titus 3:1 KJV) Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work,
(Heb 13:21 KJV) Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

“Are these the last days, the end times?
This question seems to be in the thoughts and conversations of many as we witness political, military, and financial struggles increase around the earth. Yet at the same time there have been large scale events and eras throughout history that have stirred this question deeply in years gone by. It would do us all well to spend careful, prayerful time in the Word of God, under the influence of the Spirit of God, before we glibly reply. And some would say that it makes sense since believers have been awaiting the return of the Lord for over 2,000 years. In their thought processes it should be about time, the wait has been long enough. As with many things in the kingdom of God, what we think is, thankfully, not the ruling influence.
“But you must not forget, dear friends, that a day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn’t really being slow is about His promise to return, as some people think. No, He is being patient for your sake. He does not want any to perish, so He is giving more time for everyone to repent. But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and everything in them will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be exposed to judgement.” 2 Peter 3:8 – 10 (NLT, 1996 Ed.)
The Lord is coming back and the Word clearly informs us of what the earth and its inhabitants will be going through prior to that wonderful day. There will be problems and issues that are far more escalated than what we see right now. And yet, all the passing of time until that day is a reminder of God’s merciful desire that, “He does not want any to perish”. I am one who too quickly forgets the Love and desire for relationship with us that burns in the Father’s heart and stirs Him to great patience with us. May the Spirit of God remind us that regardless of when that day does come we are called to a lifestyle of pleasing the Lord, a life of love.
“And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to live a pure and blameless life. Be at peace with God.” 2 Peter 3:14 (NLT, 1996 Ed.)”
