Jesus came to save all Jews as well

Dual Covenant Theology teaches that the Jewish People have a separate path to God through the Mosaic and Abrahamic Covenants. This is false.

Circumcision of sons on the eighth day. The accompanying ceremony is called brit milah.

Bar mitzvah (for boys) and bat mitzvah (for girls—not traditional). The coming of age ceremony at age 13. Generally consists of a synagogue service followed by an extended and elaborate reception with full meal.

Jewish weddings are typically characterized by the ceremony under a canopy (the chuppah, rhymes with “look, a wedding!” and the “ch” is pronounced gutterally as in German) and the smashing of a glass wrapped in a cloth to symbolize the destruction of the Temple.

Whether or not a Jewish person adheres to some form of Judaism, his or her Jewishness is a way of life to be lived out in varying degrees. Jews do not speak of “salvation,” for there is nothing to be saved from. If there is a God, then Jewish people already have a relationship with Him. Jesus is superfluous for Jews.

Jesus is the Messiah that the Jews had been anticipating for centuries ( Luke 2:25; 3:15) The Messiah was to be a “light for the Gentiles” (Isaiah 42:6). The Jews were acquainted with many of the prophecies about the Messiah, Christ, the chosen or “anointed one” as the word means in Greek. In the Greek language in which the New Testament was written, Christos ( Christ in English) has the same meaning as the Hebrew word Mashiach ( Messiah in English) — “anointed one,” signifying one who was specially chosen by God

.“And many of the people ( Jews ) believed in Him, and said, ‘When the Christ [Messiah] comes, will He do more signs than these which this Man has done?’” (John 7:31).

Jesus came to save everybody (1 John 2:2). Jesus Christ is God Himself (John 1:1). Jesus died on the cross as the payment for all our sins, and He rose from death in resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). Jesus said He was the Good Shepherd, and He predicted that His flock would be greatly expanded: “I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd” (John 10:16).

The Jews had a priority for Salvation over Gentiles as the past chosen people of God. All salvation is salvation through God’s covenant with Abraham!

In Genesis 12, God chooses Abraham and his descendants freely from all the peoples of the world to bless with his covenant and promise. Nehemiah 9:7 says, “God . . . chose Abram, and brought him out from Ur of the Chaldees.” Then Deuteronomy 14:2 says about the whole Jewish people, “The LORD has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.” And Amos 3:2 says, “You only have I chosen among all the families of the earth.” And here in Romans 11:28-29, Paul says, “From the standpoint of the gospel they [the Jews] are enemies for your sake [you Gentiles], but from the standpoint of [election, or] God’s choice, they are beloved for the sake of the fathers; for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.”

“There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek, but glory and honor and peace to everyone who does good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.” Romans 2:9-10

“From everyone who has been given much, much will be required” (Luke 12:48).

Jews do not have priority in righteousness or merit Nor do Gentiles. We are on the same footing, all have sinned. “There is no distinction; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:22-23,

“What then? Are we [Jews] better than they [Gentiles]? Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin; as it is written, ‘THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE.'” Romans 3:9-10

“Is God the God of Jews only? Is He not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also . . . God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith.” Romans 3: 29-30,

“There is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; (13) for ‘WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.'” Romans 10:12,

“If you search for Him, He will let you find Him, but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.” 1 Chronicles 28:9

We should pray for the Jewish people today that they might individually come to Jesus. This is all consistent with God’s instructions to Israel. “But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them: then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people: And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house?” I Kings 9:6-8. I

Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.” Colossians 3:11. In Christ Old and New Testaments are bound together and all the promises are now to be fulfilled in Spiritual Israel, the Church.

Isaiah, tell us that “in the latter days … the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it” (Isaiah 2:2).

 .

In Bible prophecy, mountains and hills are used to represent governments or nations. This prophecy foretells a time when the future Kingdom of the Messiah will be established and will reign over all earthly governments and nations. The prophetic understanding of this divine Kingdom was at the heart of Jesus Christ’s message as well as the ultimate role of the Messiah. When Jesus announced the Kingdom of God is at hand (Mark 1:15), He was simply saying that the Kingdom of God that would come to earth. Jesus said all the people of the earth “will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory” (Matthew 24:30). At Jesus’ second coming He is pictured as One who “judges and makes war” (Revelation 19:11). He will “strike the nations” with a sword and tread “the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God” (Revelation 19:15).

The Idea of Messianic Judaism, or what some call Jewish Christianity, is false, they too need to be saved still. Jesus Christ is the God of Christianity. Jesus Began a New Religion Called Christianity. The Church is almost completely severed from its Jewish roots.

How Were the Jews Saved Before Jesus Came in the Flesh?

What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt. But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness . . . . Does this blessedness then come upon the circumcised only, or upon the uncircumcised also? For we say that faith was accounted to Abraham for righteousness. How then was it accounted? While he was circumcised, or uncircumcised? Not while circumcised, but while uncircumcised. . . . Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all (Romans 4:1–5, 9–10, 16)

Salvation has always been and will always be by God’s grace and received through faith alone, and not be nationality, ancestry, lineage. “Judaism” to refer to the religion of the rabbis that developed from about 200 B.C. onwards and crystallized following the destruction of the Temple in A.D 70. Christianity is not described as a daughter religion of Judaism. In short Jesus didn’t come to establish Judaism for all to follow, he came as the Christ (that is the long expected and anticipated King from the Old Testament) to establish Christianity not as a set of laws to follow but as a life of following the Holy Spirit.
