Sadly some people they tend present their own “facts,” but fall short in truthfulness for they tend to falsely have a hidden agenda, one of which is that often they want to get rich, and ?or live in the kingdom off self, to be falsely personally worshiped and still live in sin too. Most people are like dumb sheep being told what to do. They are Bible ignorant, know almost nothing personally about  what Jesus and the Apostles have said still too. There really is no true light in them. They are religious but have a god shaped void still.. The vast majority of preaching and Christian living done in the name of the Lord today is still really without the power of the Holy Spirit manifest through the gifts of the Holy Spirit. This was, is not the way the Lord Jesus Christ had intended it to be.for sure..No one can have an effective life or ministry without the power of God’s Holy Spirit working in him or her. This fact can’t be argued by anyone who truly believes the Bible is God’s Word. The Scriptures are replete with proof that it is “not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith the LORD of hosts” (Zech. 4:6).  If a Christian’s life isn’t full of the personal supernatural, it’s a pretentious one rather.

The  mostly immoral,  lying now people, pastors too often too, spouses, politicians,  lawyers, judges tend to first need decent, real, pastoral counseling themselves.

The Holy Spirit   Many persons do not really know much about what the Bible says about the Holy Spirit. If you personally do want to have an increase of people in your church, or more love, joy, faith, in your own life, and to be able to resist the continual onslaughts of the enemy the devil you need to be now anointed with the Holy Spirit and you need to get to know him and his works better too. Divorce  -The Old Testament approved of only the husband right to divorce a wife that he was displeased with. Even though lately it is generally 70 percent of the women filling for divorce there still is no Biblical approval of such acts in the Old or New Testament. In the New Testament there is no provision for married Christians to divorce at all generally without committing an act of adultery next..

 The only thing in the Bible I rightfully do follow related to the Laws and Prophets. (old Testament) is Jesus, a  summary as per  Matthew 2:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Now beyond that I do not follow the doctrine of the Old covenant from God only to the Jews, Israel. I follow the New Covenant between God and the world and more precisely , the whole New Testament. Jesus the Word, the Holy Spirit.

Dispensationalism-What does the Bible say as opposed to man about Dispensationalism? Dispensationalism  is false, not biblical. Covenant theology   is the opposite of dispensationalism. The Father God’s agreement – promised to the Son: 1) all the Son’s needs to be met; 2) Holy Spirit given to the Church; 3) salvation to all believers; 4) exaltation of the son.

Alcohol 

 No man should adduce in favour of drinking wine unless he can prove that the wine Jesus made in the” water-pots” of Cana was just like the wine which he proposes to drink. There are ample Greek literary texts which negate the narrow definition of oinos as denoting only fermented wine as it did not have the taste or the intoxicating effect of ordinary wine, God did not make fermented juice.. New wine would be grape juice (or a grapeade) mode from grape syrup while old wine would be 2 to 3 years old Suffice it to say, the “better” wine of course does not in any way imply or demand a more alcoholic, or even an alcoholic, wine at all, there is not the slightest evidence that the word so used would have conveyed any idea but that of the pure juice of the grape,

 

John the Baptist did not drink wine or any other form of alcohol because Scripture prophesied that he wouldn’t (Luke 1:15). Most people don’t know where to draw the line between temperance and excess. Such people better abstain totally until they know they can “be temperate in all things.”

 

John 210 And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now.

 

And the word used twice  for “good” wine is a Greek word which refers to something or someone morally excellent or intrinsically good, rather It was Christ who in the Old Testament gave the warning to Israel, that “Wine is a mocker,” so why would he make fermented grape juice? by creating alcoholic wine, Jesus would have been promoting drunkenness, which the Bible clearly identifies as sinful.

 

Next you will say Jesus would have also distributed Playboy magazines.

 

If Jesus made fermented wine, then the fact that the guests had become”well drunk” would have meant that Jesus endorsed excessive drinking. Therefore,either Jesus endorsed excessive drinking of alcohol or the wine was unfermented grape juice! Obviously, then, the wine that Jesus made was unfermented grape juice.

 

Too many have assumed that the Hebrew and Greek words translated as “wine” must have the same meaning that the modern usage meaning of the English word “wine” does. In the English language, the word “wine” originally was used to denote the juice of grapes, whether in a fermented or unfermented state. Long ago, of course, that word has taken on the usage meaning of only grape juice in its fermented state. That’s why today we distinguish the two drinks by using the terms “wine” and “grape juice.”

 

Exodus 12:15 and 13:7 forbid the very presence of “leaven” anywhere in the homes during Passover. The New Testament–in Matthew 16:12 and I Corinthians 5:7-8–provide the explanation by declaring that leaven is a symbol of evil. Leaven is a yeast, so the leavening process is parallel to the process of fermentation. In the light of these facts,plus Jesus’ statement in the disputed passages that the “fruit of the vine”represented His own saving blood, we must surely conclude that the communion cup did, and should always, contain unfermented (ie., uncorrupted) grape juice. The following Old Testament texts show God’s disapproval of wine, as “yayin:” Genesis 9:21; 19:32; Leviticus10:9-11; Deuteronomy 32:33; Psalm 60:3; Proverbs 4:17; 20:1; 23:20, 29-35;31:4-5; Isaiah 5:11-12; 28:7; Ezekiel 44:21; and Hosea 7:5. Proverbs 23:31-35–Again, the very nature of fermented wine is categorically condemned as a “serpent” and an “adder” that bites and stings.

 

The Bible condemns the use itself of all alcoholic beverages and highly recommends unfermented grape juice!  The only exception to this consistent rule in Scripture is Proverbs 31: 6-7, which commands that alcoholic beverages be given to those who are dying or cowards.

 

The assumption made by proponents of the moderate use of alcoholic beverages that the ancient peoples did not know how to preserve the juice of the grape in an unfermented state, and that therefore, virtually every instance of wine mentioned in the Bible must be to fermented wine.This assumption is totally false as the ancient historical records are abundantly clear that there were several major methods of preserving grape juice in its natural, unfermented state.

 

Scriptures clearly teach that the very nature of alcoholic beverages is that which brings spiritual apostasy and otherwise affects the mind (and body too) of whomever drinks it. In other words, it is not excessive drinking only that the Bible condemns,but the beverage itself and its consumption in any amount. Since most people and Christians do not know or study the Bible today they are easily deceived.

 

As it is abundantly clear that the Bible condemns the use of alcohol in any amounts, Persons that are simply rationalizing what they want to do regardless of the facts or the consequences to their spiritual, or physical, natures are led to do so by the demons.

Why Are So Many Christians Obsessed With Predicting the Future ? Obsessed with the End Times? And the latest Christian publishing Obsession is a seven-volume post-Rapture, dispensational soap opera. Rapture oriented and Judgmental Christians are demonic induced. Where did Jesus and the Apostles say help to support the rebuilding of the nation of Israel, or Judaism?“

There is to much false date-setting now as there has been in the past,” A false Math and a false religion. Many so called Christian groups have tried to use the Bible to predict when the world will end, using a (hardly clear-cut) combination of events mentioned in the apocalyptic Book of Revelation. As predicted by Jesus in 70 AD: The Roman Army destroyed Jerusalem, killed over 1 million Jews, took about 100,000 into slavery and captivity, and scattered all the Jews from Palestine to other locations in the Roman Empire. and in 200 AS: Roman Emperor Severus forbade religious conversions to Judaism, In 306 AD: The church Synod of Elvira banned marriages, sexual intercourse and community contacts between Christians and Jews. . In 315 AD: Constantine published the Edict of Milan which extended religious tolerance to Christians. Jews lost many rights with this edict. They were no longer permitted to live in Jerusalem, or to proselytize. 528 AD: Emperor Justinian (527-564) passed the Justinian Code. It prohibited Jews from building synagogues, reading the Bible in Hebrew, assemble in public, celebrate Passover before Easter, and testify against Christians in court. 535 AD : The “Synod of Claremont decreed that Jews could not hold public office or have authority over Christians.” Augustine wrote “The true image of the Hebrew is Judas Iscariot, who sells the Lord for silver. The Jew can never understand the Scriptures and forever will bear the guilt for the death of Jesus.” The New Zealand Church censored of all references to Zion and Jerusalem in the new Psalter and liturgy.

Jesus has removed Israel from God’s plan, rejecting the past rights and destiny of natural Israel. The opposition to Zionism, Judaism is still Biblical. And the Persecution of the Jews can only cease if they converted to Christianity. The simple truth that none of us know with absolute certainty what will happen shortly in the world.

Too many false prophets had foretold the end of the world but not their own death. It is clear from ancient prophesies that the Messiah will come to save his people from their enemies in the end times. And Jesus did that he saved his people those who put their trust in Him. He cannot save the Jews, if they reject Him. To try rather to destroy Jesus, the Church, Christians is to support the work of Satan. Jesus the Messiah has come to destroy the works of Satan, ungodly Jews.

Many people think that the end times biblical prophecies about the antichrist, 666, the end of the world , Israel, Zionism, the Battle of Armageddon are still for the weirdoes, religious fanatics , oddballs, extremists, those persons who afraid to face life today, ahead of them and falsely now do look for an escape from it.

The Basic problem here also is not the Bible detailed Prophecies themselves but rather how many people misinterpret them, add their views, and it seems few of them even agree with each others still. I find it absurd that many claim to be Holy Spirit experts when the reality is, and they show it too, that they do not yet even know the Holy Spirit personally…. never mind Jesus.. It is amazing that many  people falsely concentrate on what they or others believe, what mere men and women say on the Subject and not rather what the New testament Bible actually says .. as the devil does not want them to see and admit the Bible truth.. there are so many different and even false interpretations too on what tongues thus is -“that the gift of tongues constituted a type of “ language,” a series of initially  unintelligible sounds that are unrelated to one’s own human speech and so they need to be also  interpreted.  One should pray to have this interpretation too”. These Bible liars and distorters would falsely have you believe that   the gift of a “tongue” was simply the divinely imposed ability to communicate the gospel of Christ in a human language that the speaker had not been taught by the ordinary education process. I myself, in my pride, did not want the gift of tongues, but the Lord gently called me to repentance here and told me personally he wanted me to have them.

God has given to the real Christians, those Baptized with the Holy Spirit, the gift to speak in a language that we do not know by human means. This is a gift of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 12:10) and therefore of great help to us in praying for our own needs and the needs of others too. Paul said: “Thank God, I speak in tongues more than any of you” (1 Cor 14:18). Through the gift of tongues, the Lord builds us up (1 Cor 14:4), enables us to utter “mysteries in the Spirit” (1 Cor 14:2), and empowers us to thank and praise Him (1 Cor 14:16-17). The gift of tongues in the Church  is a sign, also especially for unbelievers (1 Cor 14:22). Still there are different “kinds of tongues” (see 1 Cor 12:10 in the Greek). Apostle Paul taught: “If there is no one to interpret, there should be silence in the assembly, each one praying, speaking only to himself and to God” (1 Cor 14:28). Tongues are either interpreted for the upbuilding of the Church or are spoken in prayers  only to ourselves and to God. This second kind of tongues is often called a “prayer language.” One should pray for it’s interpretation also. Yes speaking in tongues  proceeds from the abundance of the gift of the Holy Spirit. Tongues were the outward and audible expression of this abundance. Moreover, these tongues, whether spoken in Jerusalem or Caesarea, were in praise of God and primarily directed to God. As Paul was later to say, “One who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men, but to God” (1 Corinthians 14:2).

Countless numbers of believers today testify that they too have been baptized in the Holy Spirit and spoken in tongues. They see themselves as standing in the line of Jerusalem and Caesarea (and, later, —Acts 19:6). For them, speaking in tongues is not so much “proof” as it is supernatural evidence of the Holy Spirit’s powerful presence and activity.

Speaking in tongues is only one of the manifestations of the Holy Spirit  but still the sign of receiving the HS or filled with the HS was always tongues. Now the New testament  Bible records that people spoke in tongues when the Holy Spirit came upon them,   it means that everyone must then speak in tongues when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.. or do you use another false Bible?

“While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message. 45 And all the circumcised believers who had come with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out upon the Gentiles also. 46 For they were hearing them speaking with tongues and exalting God. Then Peter answered, 47 “Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?” 48 And he ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay on for a few days.

1 Cor. 12:30, “All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they? 31 But earnestly desire the greater gifts.”

Of course we must receive the fullness of  Holy Spirit to be truly  saved . And In the Christian church while all are not apostles, verse 29 all are not prophets nor are all  teachers etc.  Now we here can understand that the Apostle is  talking about different offices and not specifically the gift of tongues for all…Now, the Bible does also  tells us that not all speak in tongues in the church, but all can pray in tongues, all the  people Baptized with the Holy Spirit.

The Bible also says in 1 Cor. 12:10, “and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.”  Notice that Paul is teaching that the Holy Spirit gives different gift to different people.  One person has the effecting of miracles, another prophecy, another distinguishing of spirits, etc.”

(Mark 16:15-18). Then Jesus predicted what would happen: “These signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well”

Now also I don’t know anyone who has those true Holy Spirit  gifts who doesn’t speak in tongues. Clearly to have these true gifts from God you must be filled with the HS with the evidence of tongues.

1. The manifestation that came with the gift of the Holy Spirit was speaking in tongues. It wasn’t the wind, fire, noise or feeling of God’s presence that was evidence of the gift being received but a spirit language—believers began speaking languages of the Spirit they didn’t understand. It was God’s plan for the gift to function as a spirit language for His children (Acts 2:4, 11; 1 Cor. 14:2).

2. Jesus commanded us to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. When Jesus commissioned the disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they received the promise of the Father, He didn’t say, “Do this if you feel led to do so, or if it fits in your doctrinal or denominational beliefs, or if you have the time, or if you are so inclined, or if you feel comfortable about it.” No! Jesus commanded them to wait until they received the gift of the Holy Spirit. Since Jesus put such importance on their receiving this gift, that’s more than enough reason for every Christian to seek God until they receive it too (Acts 1:4; 5:32; John 14:16-17; Eph. 5:18).

3. The Scriptures exhort us to be filled with the Spirit and to pray in the new tongues of our spirit language. Our spirit language enables us to live in the Spirit, walk in the Spirit, be led of the Spirit, have the fruit of the Spirit, manifest the gifts of the Spirit and go from glory to glory until we are transformed into His same image (Gal. 5:22-25; Rom. 8:14; 1 Cor. 12:7-11; 14:15; Eph. 5:18; Acts 19:2; 2 Cor. 3:18).

4. A spirit language is the greatest gift the Holy Spirit can give a believer. Jesus is the greatest gift God could give for the redemption of the world, and the Holy Spirit is the greatest gift Jesus could give to His church. Of all the resources in heaven and the eternal universe, nothing is more valuable, beneficial or important for the Holy Spirit to give the individual child of God than her own spirit language (1 Cor. 12:31; 14:4).

5. Our spirit language enables us to have spirit-to-Spirit communication with God. Humans are spirit beings clothed with flesh-and-bone bodies. While man’s sin deadened the spirit, Jesus brings the spirit back to life by imparting His everlasting life into us. The Holy Spirit gives us a spirit language so we can communicate directly with God (John 4:24; 1 Cor. 15:45; Gen. 2:7; Rom. 5:12; John 3:3-5, 16).

6. Praying in tongues builds and increases our faith. Faith is the medium of exchange for all heavenly things, just as money is the medium of exchange for all earthly things. A major way to increase our faith is to pray in the tongues of our spirit language (Rom. 12:6; Jude 1:20; Mark 9:23; Matt. 9:29).

7. Praying in tongues activates the fruit of the Spirit. It’s vital and beneficial to have each of the spiritual attributes become active and mature in us. Praying in tongues helps us fulfill God’s predestined purpose for us to be conformed to the image of His Son (Gal. 5:22-23; 2 Cor. 3:18; 1 Cor. 13:1-13; Rom. 8:29).

8. Praying in our spirit language is the main way we fulfill the scriptural admonition to “pray without ceasing.” Christians can pray in tongues at any time. If we are in a place where it isn’t convenient or wise to speak out loud in tongues, we can pray with our inner man without making an audible sound (Eph. 6:18; 1 Thess. 5:17; Matt. 26:41; Luke 18:1; 21:36; 1 Cor. 14:15).

9. The Holy Spirit directs our spirit language to pray in accordance with the will of God. Probably the only time we can be assured that we are praying 100 percent in the will of God is when we are praying in our spirit language. God always answers requests that are made in alignment with His will (Rom. 8:27; 1 John 5:14-15).

10. Praying in tongues quiets the mind. When Dr. Andrew Newberg, a neuroscientist, compared brain scans of Christians praying in tongues with Buddhist monks chanting and Catholic nuns praying, the study showed the frontal lobes—the brain’s control center—went quiet in the brains of Christians talking in tongues, proving that speaking in tongues isn’t a function of the natural brain but an operation of the spirit (1 Cor. 14:2, 14).  “Adapted from Seventy Reasons for Speaking in Tongues by Bill Hamon .

The people who say they have the Baptism of the Holy Spirit without speaking in tongues tend to have no visible evidence of it..

HOW TO PRAISE THE LORD IN TONGUES

.

After we have given our lives to Jesus as Lord and received the Holy Spirit, we begin to realize that the purpose of our existence is to praise the Lord (Eph 1:12). Most of our earthly life will pass away, but praising the Lord will last forever. Although praising Him is our heart’s desire and our eternal destiny, we have difficulty living a life of praise.

1) Giving thanks is the beginning of praising the Lord. We enter His gates with thanksgiving in our hearts (Ps 100:4). Those who are not familiar with praising the Lord should begin by thanking Him.

.

2) We naturally move to praise from thanksgiving (Ps 100:4). We move from focusing on the works of God to the God of works. We come to realize He is worthy to be praised (Rv 5:12).

.

3) After thanking and praising the Lord for a few minutes, we run out of ways to express ourselves. Not that there isn’t more to say in praise of God, but our consciousness, memory, and vocabulary are limited. When someone or something exceeds our ability to communicate, we usually try to extend our powers of communication by shouting or singing. We may even get into non-verbal forms of communication, such as clapping, dancing, and liturgical actions such as lifting our hands, bowing, etc.

4) But even if we have the best Biblical vocabulary and are free and talented enough to shout, sing, and dance; we cannot sustain praising God for more than a few minutes. We need the Spirit’s gift of praising the Lord in another language, the gift of tongues (1 Cor 12:10). As with our native language, we form the words but the Lord provides the motivation. We pray in other tongues in obedience, simply because we believe the Lord is telling us to do so.

5) Although praying and singing in tongues is a quantum-leap forward in our praise-power, it is still limited. Finally, our praise in tongues turns to silence (Zeph 1:7; Rv 8:1). We are so aware of God’s glory that we are rendered speechless. This type of profound silence after praise in tongues is the ultimate praise of God by a person on earth. “

Reason Number One

The Word of God teaches that when we are filled with the Holy Ghost, we speak with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance. Speaking in tongues is an initial evidence, or sign, of the baptism of the Holy Spirit: “And they were all FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST, and began to SPEAK WITH OTHER TONGUES, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (Acts 2:4).

Reason Number Two

Paul encouraged the Corinthian Christians to continue the practice of speaking with other tongues in their worship of God. He also encouraged them to speak in tongues in their individual prayer life as a means of spiritual edification, or building up. The Bible says, “He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself . . .” (1 Cor. 14:4).

Paul also stated in First Corinthians 14:14, “For if I pray in an unknown tongue, MY SPIRIT PRAYETH, but my understanding is unfruitful.” Notice he said, “My spirit prays.”

.

The Amplified Bible reads, “My spirit [by the Holy Spirit within me] prays . . . .” God is a Spirit. When you pray in tongues, your spirit is in direct contact with God, who is a Spirit. When you speak in tongues, you are talking to Him by divine, supernatural means.

Reason Number Three

A third reason people should speak with other tongues is that speaking with tongues keeps us continually aware of the Holy Spirit’s indwelling Presence. Not only is speaking with tongues the initial sign or evidence of the Holy Spirit’s infilling, but continuing to pray and to worship God in tongues helps us to be ever-con­scious of His indwelling Presence. And if you are conscious of the indwelling Presence of the Holy Ghost every day, that is bound to affect the way you think and live.

Reason Number Four

Speaking in tongues eliminates the possibility of selfishness entering our prayer life. For instance, if I pray a prayer out of my own mind and out of my own thinking, it may be unscriptural. It may be selfish.

.

Paul wrote to the Church at Rome, “We know not what we should pray for as we ought. . .” (Rom. 8:26). He didn’t say we didn’t know how to pray, because we are instructed to pray to the Father in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ (John 16:23–24).

.

But just because I know how to pray doesn’t mean that I know what to pray for as I ought. So Paul said, “We know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself [Himself] maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered” (Rom. 8:26).

.

The Holy Ghost is not going to do our praying for us. He is sent to help us pray. Speak­ing with other tongues is praying as the Spirit gives utterance. It is Spirit-directed praying. And it eliminates the possibility of selfishness in our prayers.

Reason Number Five

A fifth reason believers should speak with tongues is that it helps them learn to trust God more fully. It builds one’s faith to speak in tongues. The Bible says, “Building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost” (Jude 20).

Speaking in tongues stimulates faith and helps us learn how to trust God more fully. For example, faith must be exercised to speak with tongues because the Holy Spirit supernaturally directs the words we speak. You see, we don’t know what the next word will be—we have to trust God for that. And trusting God in one area helps us learn to trust Him in another area.

Reason Number Six

A sixth reason every believer should speak in tongues is that it provides a way for you to pray about things that you wouldn’t think to pray about or aren’t even aware of. We already know that the Holy Spirit helps us pray for particular situations when we don’t know how to pray about those situations. In addition, the Holy Spirit, Who knows everything, can pray things through us for things about which our natural mind knows nothing.

Reason Number Seven

A seventh reason why every believer should speak with tongues is found in James 3:8. “But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison,” Yielding your tongue to the Holy Spirit to speak with other tongues is a big step toward being able to fully yield all of your members to God; for if you can yield your tongue, you can yield any member of your body to God.

Speaking in tongues is the initial evidence of the infilling of the Holy Spirit. God has given us this wonderful spiritual gift to bless us, edify us, and refresh us throughout our lives on this earth. Let’s receive what God has provided and enjoy the bene­fits of speaking in tongues!

The Lord still does  commands us to set our “hearts on spiritual gifts — above all, the gift of prophecy” (1 Cor 14:1). We may or may not have the gift of prophecy but we are obligated to seek it eagerly. Prophecy is part of the foundation of the Church (Eph 2:20). He or she “who prophesies builds up the Church” (1 Cor 14:4). A prophet speaks to the Church for its upbuilding, encouragement, and consolation (1 Cor 14:3). Prophecy is one of the ministries that equips the saints to build up the body of Christ (Eph 4:11-12). “Without prophecy the people become demoralized” (Prv 29:18). “Indeed, the Lord God does nothing without revealing His plan to His servants, the prophets” (Am 3:7). Without a prophet, we don’t know what to do (1 Mc 4:46). Without prophecy, we remain dead, dry bones (Ez 37:4). If we despise prophecy, we stifle the Spirit (1 Thes 5:19-20). “Would that all the people of the Lord were prophets!” (Nm 11:29) Would that all the people at least seek above all the gift of prophecy!;

Why Should I Speak In Tongues? By Dr. John Wagner

There are six purposes for speaking in tongues. These six purposes are divided into three categories: the initial evidence of Spirit baptism, personal edification, and corporate edification. It must be understood that the “tongues” being discussed in each case are the same tongues. It is their purpose in each situation which distinguishes them.

.

Let me use the English language to provide a very simple illustration of what I mean. Some people are professional singers and use the English language to make beautiful music with their voices. Others, who have no ability to sing, may use the same English language to preach moving sermons in churches, teach excellent lessons in the classroom, or make powerful, moving political speeches. Still others may not be able to do any of those things, but still use the English language to communicate on a routine daily basis. In each of these situations it is the same language, but used for different purposes.

.

INITIAL EVIDENCE OF SPIRIT BAPTISM

This is the broadest and most basic manifestation of the use of tongues. When Christians are baptized with the Holy Spirit they are enabled by the Spirit to speak in tongues. This is a language either “angelic” or “human” (1 Cor 13:1) that the individual has never learned. The “tongue” in this instance is the initial evidence of having been filled with (or baptized with) the Holy Spirit. There may be other evidences as well, but EVERYONE who is baptized with the Holy Spirit will speak in other tongues!

There are three clear accounts in the Bible where people who were initially baptized in the Holy Spirit spoke in other tongues, and which provides the Scriptural basis for this being the pattern for everyone who is Spirit baptized:

Acts 2:1-4

“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place…All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.”

Acts 10:43-46

“While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles. For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God.”

Acts 19:1-6

“…Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples and asked them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They answered, ‘No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit’…When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied.”

In each of these instances the disciples KNEW they had been “clothed with power from on high” according to Luke 24:49, or “filled with the Holy Spirit,” (Acts 2:4) because they spoke with other tongues! It must be understood that this impartation by the Spirit to speak in tongues is NOT the “Gift of Tongues!” The Gift of tongues will be discussed later in this article.

PERSONAL EDIFICATION

The next four purposes for speaking in tongues are personal in nature and involve the individual edification (building up) of the believer.

.

As Christians all of us should want to grow and be built up in our faith. The word edification means “building up.” One way of doing this is mentioned in:

1 Corinthians 14:4

“He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself…”

This personal edification is perfectly acceptable and necessary for a healthy Christian life. The four personal uses of tongues are:

Prayer

The first of these personal purposes is a personal prayer language. According to the Bible there are two types of languages: human languages and angelic languages.

1 Corinthians 13:1

“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.”

So, the prayer language, or tongue, that a person receives at their Spirit baptism may be a human language or an angelic language. Human languages are relatively easy to recognize. However, angelic languages are not that familiar to us. Generally, they are what we refer to as Glossolalia. Some say that glossolalia sounds a lot like gibberish. But trust me, it is not! But I want to repeat here, whether the language a person receives from the Holy Spirit is a human language or an angelic language, it is NOT a language they have learned.

Often when we pray we run out of our own words and wish there were a better way to express our deepest concerns to God. It is at this point that praying in tongues or “praying in the Spirit” (synonymous expressions) becomes invaluable! The Apostle Paul explains in:

Romans 8:26-27

“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.”

1 Corinthians 14:2, 14-15 says,

“For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God…For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful.”

When a person prays in tongues they don’t know exactly what they are saying, but the Spirit is praying in tune with God’s will. And God knows what is being said. Paul asks the question in verse 15 “So what shall I do?” and then answers it by saying, “I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind…”

Being able to pray both in our known language, and in “tongues” (in the Spirit) is a distinct benefit of being filled with the Spirit! It is part of the power we receive when we are Spirit baptized.

We are instructed by both the Apostle Paul and the Apostle Jude to pray in the Spirit:

Ephesians 6:18

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.”

Jude 20

“But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit.”

Singing

In our personal worship of God singing is one way we express our love for Him. When we are filled with the Spirit we can sing in our own language and we can sing in tongues too.

1 Corinthians 14:15

“So what shall I do?… I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.”

.

Praising God

Again, in our expressions of love for God we can praise Him in our known language or we can praise Him in tongues.

1 Corinthians 14:16-17

“If you are praising God with your spirit, how can one who finds himself among those who do not understand say “Amen” to your thanksgiving, since he does not know what you are saying?”

Paul is here explaining why, in a public worship service, a person should not praise God audibly in tongues. Nevertheless, praising God quietly, or privately in tongues is perfectly acceptable!

.

And singing praises to God in the privacy of our own home in the Spirit, or in tongues, is to be encouraged! Do it often!

.

Giving Thanks to God

As with praising God, after we are filled with the Spirit, we can also give thanks to God in either our known language or in tongues. Paul continues his instruction of the Corinthians in the proper use of tongues in a public worship service when he says,

1 Corinthians 14:17

“You may be giving thanks well enough, but the other man is not edified.”

His primary concern is with everyone being built up in their faith when the whole church comes together. By giving thanks to God in tongues, an individual may be doing it well enough between himself and God, but because those around him don’t understand what he is saying they are not built up. So, giving thanks to God in tongues privately is very appropriate, but without an interpretation, it should not be done out loud in a public worship service.

CORPORATE EDIFICATION

Finally, one purpose for the use of tongues is public and is intended to edify the corporate body of believers (the congregation as a whole).

The “Gift” of Tongues

Each of the personal purposes of speaking in tongues mentioned before (prayer, singing, praising God, giving thanks to God) can also be used in a public worship service. However in the public worship setting, though they are the same tongues, they have a different function and their use is restricted by very clear biblical guidelines for their exercise.

.

The tongues used in a public worship service are referred to as one of the “Spiritual Gifts.”

1 Corinthians 12:8-10

“To one there is given through the Spirit…speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.”

.

These two gifts of the Holy Spirit (speaking in different kinds of tongues and interpretation of tongues) are to function together when the corporate body of Christ is in worship. When these two gifts function together in a service it is God speaking to the church directly through a Christian who has been baptized in the Holy Spirit.

.

There are three primary differences between the personal and the public use of tongues.

First, whenever tongues are used audibly in a public worship service they are to be interpreted by someone so the entire congregation can be built up and not just the one doing the speaking. In private there is no interpretation of tongues.

.

Second, the number of times an utterance in tongues followed by an interpretation can be given in a corporate worship setting is limited to two or at the most three.

.

Third, though every Christian is to be baptized in the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues, NOT everyone who has been baptized in the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues, will be able to use their tongues in a public message, in a corporate worship setting, followed by an interpretation.

Now  is difficult to understand the media fuss about Christian activists helping to secure the nominations of at least eight Canadian federal Conservative candidates in the next election. It is  no less  difficult not to understand why no one opposes the election of Alcoholics, or the use of Alcohol to try to secure votes.. but they will oppose the election of Christian persons, It is not difficult to understand why some newspapers would splash a headline on the topic across their front page, thereby starting the entire insanity in the first place.

Now  let’s look at the problem with the current system. By signing up a group of people to pack a nomination meeting, the chances of nominating a candidate who the party and constituents do not want is dramatically increased.

With the current political nominating system it’s very easy to trade votes for money, booze, or favours, and it becomes about stacking meetings rather than being the “best” candidate. And  during the leadership race, we saw blatant restrictions of membership forms. If you didn’t support a certain candidate  ,it was impossible to get a membership form from the party, and when you were granted one, it would often take months to get it, or it would be mailed to the wrong address. Since it’s all about being on the membership list and it’s pretty easy to keep people off the membership list, abuse is practically encouraged. So why not switch to the primary system? Every Canadian could register with a party or as a non-partisan on their income tax by checking a box.  Sure, you could still truck in your church members to vote so long as they’re registered to the party in question but with many more eligible voters, it would become a lot harder to take over a riding or win a nomination. With a wider range of people voting, it would presumably allow for candidates the general population prefers to be nominated. It would also become impossible to restrict membership forms, leaving leadership races more wide open and democratic… considering the bad press all parties get through nasty nomination battles and leadership races, it would be a solution everyone would benefit from. Don’t forget a recall system too.

Only “Tiny number of police officers part of large drinking and driving problem   Sun Nov 9, 12:03 PM   VANCOUVER, B.C. – The numbers are staggering.  Mothers Against Drunk Driving says 75,000 people are arrested annually in Canada for drinking and driving.  There are an additional 100,000 to 150,000 24-hour suspensions handed out each year by police, said MADD chief executive officer Andy Murie.  Sometimes the people who make those arrests, the front-line police officers who try to get the drunks off the road become – albeit rarely – part of the statistics.  “You might find 10 to 15 incidents a year involving police officers,” said Murie in a recent interview from his Oakville, Ont., office.  “The thing is that with the 10 to 15, because they are police officers and they get charged with a crime, it’s news.”  Often front-page news, most recently in British Columbia.  In recent weeks, the public learned that three B.C. police officers are facing drunk-driving charges – two members of the RCMP and a third from the New Westminster police department.  One of the off-duty RCMP members was arrested for drunk driving after a Jeep collided with a motorcycle, killing a 21-year-old man in Delta, B.C.  Other high-profile cases this year across the country include an Edmonton police officer facing one count of driving with a blood alcohol level above the legal limit and five counts each of impaired driving causing bodily harm and dangerous driving causing bodily harm.  In Saskatoon, a judge will decide the fate later this month of a senior member of the Saskatoon police service charged with impaired driving.  At his trial, two arresting officers testified that Insp. Al Stickney got behind the wheel after they observed him drunkenly staggering across the street.  “This year there’s been about 10 (arrests),” said Murie. “That’s pretty normal for a year.”  ..  the number of police officers caught drinking and driving is a tiny percentage of the total  ..   Benedikt Fischer, a criminologist at the faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University, said police officers are recruited “from the human race and despite the fact we expect so, human behaviour doesn’t stop on-or off-duty.”  Fischer also believes the number of police officers who drive drunk is probably higher than the arrest statistics indicate.  Being a cop is part of a “professional or police culture” dominated by machismo and camaraderie where police officers spend a lot of time socializing with each other, said Fischer, and often it involves alcohol.  “Drinking among police officers is often quite extensive and excessive, probably more so than in other professions,” he said.  When an RCMP member in B.C. is identified as having a drinking problem, he or she gets to know Dr. Ian MacDonald, the regional health services officer for RCMP in B.C.  After an assessment, they might be referred outside the force to an independent addiction specialist.  Whether it’s determined they have a drinking problem or not, all RCMP members arrested for drinking and driving come to MacDonald’s attention and must have an assessment.  MacDonald also thinks that MADD’s numbers are low and that the number of police officers arrested for drunk driving is higher than 10 to 15.  “That strikes me as low. If you look at B.C., we might have two or three charges a year. According to the pastor Harper was a good christian. The  hypocritical, pretentious fundamental right winged evangelical pastor of New Life Beginings in LaSalle, Quebec  Preaches next openly today now  for us not to have anything to do with a person who drinks wine, and to stand up against all people who do any wrong, to openly speak to them, and lies and says come and talk to me your pastor after church. I am always really interested to hear from you about all of your concerns but  in reality when you do try to talk to him..  I thus told him Harper drinks beer.. but since he himself cannot handle negative truths, he the ostrich no good pastor refuses to talk with me  and  says I am tired now, I refuse to hear any of that, I refuse to believe any of that, that is all gossip,  slanders, and we do not allow anyone who causes disturbance, problems, gives any criticism in our church, so please leave now. So much for their false professing Christian love, brotherly love, their openness now, free speech too.. The same pastor says he does not believe anything the news media writes at all. I have been on the net for over 2  decades, and I have thousands of readers regularly reading my posts.  Hey I too have often said that there are many professing bashers, bullies, liars now even on the Christian internet and they think they alone can make the rules, enforce the rules on others, and that is too bad for them too for  they need to grow up.. and to firstly get used to the right of free speech of others, other’s right to be heard and to male their own posts .. I only have about 30 internet sites written often for these bad hypocritical Christians now too  so hopefully they too will learn the truth about themselves.. too bad guys do not like me to use my right of free speech.. so what else is new.. they by their bullying, control freak approach clearly show to all what hypocritical Christians they rather are! They are not humble servants of Jesus for sure.
 
It is true that Christian Pentecostal pastors are too often as bad as the non Pentecostal Christian ones too..  55 percent of them seem to admit to adultery, and 70 percent of them counsel divorce, and God hates both of these sins still too. But now still God himself shows no partiality to anyone..
 
But the  discriminatory Baptist Sen. Charles Grassley clearly another  false Pentecostal basher and hater wrongfully did not agree to having all major evangelical pastors in the united Sates annually reviewed,   for tax evasions, misappropriations of funds chose  to review it seems only the  word of faith believing Christian Pentecostal preachers.. simply such unfair, unacceptable hypocritical demand of  his still now too..
