fallout hits BCE, the Bell phone company

  

Now we all can know that driving a sports car on an empty road produces a different speed from that when driving on the same road during peak traffic hours.
  
Now this Mis-advertisement of the actual speeds attained  also reflects the common  problem we tend to  have also in Canada with the false, misleading advertising, trade practices by Bell, Rogers, Videotron in regard to the speeds of their iphone and DSL, ADSL, cable internet services. These Communication, ISP firms amongst others are known to inflate, advertise substantially higher speeds than the consumer will actual get next get on the average, and the  next related internet congestion cause web connectivity problems, and also reductions of the downloads speeds too..

   
Bell Telephone is always seeking news ways by hook or crook as well  to make more money cause it undeniably still loses it’s dissatisfied customers faster than it can gain them.
 
The once invincible Bell Nortel offended the wrong parties and it’s stocks was last seen headed towards the garbage heap and many persons wonder if Bell is going that way next too. Bell’s false distortions, Smokescreens and Mirrors. Bell itself now is always lying for years has always told me it is someone else’s fault for the internet problem and not Bell’s. “Do note that my Bell internet services profile, download speeds  varies, varied from 1 megs, 2 megs, 5 megs, 6 megs, 7 megs, depending on the weather, the day of the week, etc.,  and now all  contrary to Bell’s promises, advertisement of a steady High speed system too, etc., or Bell’s past advertisement that ” Bell delivers reliable Internet access, assuring consumers that they can get on the  Net when they want to and stay there as long as they need”…is also clearly a lie….” Bell’s advertised “Choice of consistent super fast speed” is also a lie for the speed undeniably was slow and varied and too often…  Bell’s advertised “Best price” is also a lie.. and please all do  still deal with Bell’s false capping of my bit torrent too.. on my unlimited download Bell account in Canada.” 
  
Bell for certainty cannot be trusted, it can only be trusted to lie, Bell along with many DSL ISP undeniably lied in their past Internet  ADDS for many years about the advantages of  the internet DSL over Cable too. “The speed advantage of DSL over cable is much higher”, ” DSL-based services results in the ability to guarantee the bandwidth provided by the high-speed DSL connection” ” Cable service providers usually don’t quote absolute performance numbers like the DSL vendors” In real fact Major Canadian DSL vendors like Bell never met their promised speed CONTINUOUSLY or reliably now too anyway and most of the time they were far short of it too.
  
There was, is a need for regulatory Government intervention of Bell, ISP providers practices, advertisements too. There has been a lot of evidence, allegations about Bell’s bad  managerial practices,  and it’s motives. It’s mostly been  warranted.
  
Bell  wrongfully sees itself as the sole judge of disputes in their contract obligations too. This sort of contract, where the subscriber is considered to agree by signing up for service rather than by active negotiation, is given extra scrutiny by the courts. Any wiggle room or ambiguity is usually resolved in favor of the consumer rather than the company.
 
Sadly AT&T for a start is not the only carrier that doesn’t have presently  adequate  existing bandwidth to support all of their customers, iPhone users  using  an “unlimited” data plan  and that would now include Rogers and Bell? who are clearly already capping their existing customers and others to over come this serious shortcoming,   and in spite of what they do all  promise now they might have in the future I really rightfully do not believe them.

What started as a simple phone call by me in January 2007 to Bell tech help line to determine why my internet services were so slow and sluggish next had  become a major farce, cover-up on the part of Bell Sympatico. I was next lied to for months as to the real reasons Bell they rather had offered me their poor internet services to me and  to many others in my city for years now too.. and then Bell had even  lied to me some more, had also breached their contractual obligations to me many times too, had allowed me even to be slandered, abused on the Bell customer forums now too.. and why? so  that clearly greedy Bell can continue stay in business to make more money.. and so who really cares now about the customer’s good welfare in reality? now? What not Bell itself, not the CRTC, not the federal government, not our Prime Minister Stephen Harper, not  the the federal Minister of Consumer Affairs, Jim Prentice..  not  any provincial consumer affairs Minister, but only the citizens, the news media, and the NDP party care about the citizens  good welfare really it seems. Imagine that Bell has been in Business for many years and is still guilty now clearly of misleading advertisements, fraudulent and unacceptable business practices, not living up to their contractual obligations, as I now have PERSONALLY WITNESSED, EXPERIENCED  and undeniably detailed to even Bell and many others many times too now . I Paid for a high speed unlimited download service but that is not what I got next. I got low internet speed at a high price. With Bell you have to check your actual delivered speeds , “internet download and upload speed test” cause Bell seems to change it to suit themselves..  ( Acanac Inc. http://www.acanac.ca  , and do  see their speed test ). BELL EXECUTIVES HAVE BEEN  TOO CHEAP, AND STINGY TO SPEND THE NECESSARY MONEY TO DO THE MUCH NEEDY UPDATES TO BELL’S INTERNET WHICH DO LACK FULL CAPACITIES TO SERVICE ALL THE PRESENT CUSTOMERS, NEVER MIND ALL THE FUTURE ONES, SO THEY HAVE TO THROTTLE THEIR SERVICES
 
 More and more, Bell, Sympatico Internet users are finding Web browsing a lot less fun these days for  it took a little time to load the pages, there is continual internet connectivity problems for their Bell ISP provider is totally unreliable, dishonest, inadequate too.  Bell has always had it’s spin doctors spin, lying.. 
 

 
Bell firstly has also not been transparency about it’s internet capping as well now..  Major Canadian DSL service providers commonly employ bandwidth / speed caps for residential customers. Bandwidth caps place an artificial limit on the maximum speed a customer can achieve by monitoring their individual traffic flow and throttling network packets .Providers concerned about the capacity limits of their network  implement a cap so that they can accommodate more customers, and make more money and undeniably  do not do this for the sole benefit of the consumer but mainly their own.

 
“Open access”, the ability of any citizen to chose their Internet service provider (ISP), access any content or service, and transmit any information desired, was the hallmark of the existing Internet. Keep the Internet free but regulate the ISPs. As  the global Internet works rather well just the way it is: uncontrolled uploads and downloads, unregulated content, freedom of speech, and freely distributed. But if the CRTC tries to put one group in control of it, Like Bell it will inevitably become just another false  channel for control and profit, in the same way that virtually the entire television media has become.
 
But I have said much of this before for many months now too already even that Bell will lie, divert the truth and basically try to say that the customers are all still stupid, and the customer’s own computer’(s) are at fault,, they are lacking sufficient processing power or memory, cache and they  cannot keep pace with a high-speed Internet connection. Or the spyware, viruses on the computer when that rarely is the case now too for the slow internet speed,s but rather it is mainly due to Bell’s own faulty, and poorly maintained and poorly serviced equipment…

Bell has no one but itself to blame for it’s own  downfall,  about 40 percent of it’s own internet customers have complained about big bad Bell abusing them, lying to them, not keeping their contract agreement already. I have often told Bell  in writing that would all  happen now too on the net as well..
  
Bell like Loblow , Royal LePage merely reaps too what it sows.. it next fails to get repeat customers and much needed referrals as a direct result too..
 
Those too often liars in public relations, sales, marketing would also like you to believe just case something is old, established has a history behind it is is stable, reliable like the Mickey Mouse RCMP and Bell telephone Company now both rather known by many Canada wide for being liars, pretenders, abusers
 
 Bell, Rogers, Videotron, Shaw, Telus  all only care about one thing.. maximum profits.. motivated by maximum greed.. finding an excuse to charge the customer for more.. and that they have done with their regulating, capping… and no one cares about what the consumer thinks, the CRTC or the federal Conservatives as well included. I had written 300 letters to Bell trying to get simple, straightforward satisfaction, appropriate payment,  answers from them and of course they dishonestly refused to provide any answers.. all they Sasha Rollins,  did eventually is double bill me and next cut of my internet for complaining too much to them.. real perverse people. Nevertheless I posted a full log for about 2 years on the net, too all of the major news editors, major politicians now too  for all to read, and Bell undeniably now did not try to deny it too, as to how crooked they were and how poorly they had actually responded to their false breach of my internet contract too. I now do realize that I have been told many times now by Bell on the phone, on the net that my internet account matter now has been escalated to the Highest level at Bell, specially Bell executive care services, and that as usual I  have been lied too. Bell should pay for internet throttling, Breach of contract too. Telus says Bell should pay for internet throttling dispute: Telus Corp. is supporting consumer groups and small service providers in seeking legal costs from Bell Canada Inc. in a dispute over the throttling of internet speeds. Telus had said it agrees with the Public Interest Advocacy Centre and the Canadian Association of Internet Providers, who say that because Bell started the whole argument over throttling, the company should be liable for all the costs whether it wins or loses the dispute. http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2008/09/19/tech-bell.html

 

Consumers have come together in Canada in a class action lawsuit against Bell Canada for the company’s practice of throttling traffic. There are two charges involved in the lawsuit. The first is for false advertising; the company had advertised the offer of a constant speed at all times which isn’t true if throttling is going on. And the second is for violating users’ privacy through the use of deep packet inspection.  L’Union des Consommateurs and a Quebec consumer have launched a class action lawsuit against Bell Canada over its throttling practices. I find it ironic that Bell Sympatico  is being sued about the same time they falsely cut of my internet services with a false excuse as well.

Bell Sympatico now even  wanted an extra payment of 75 dollars if I do not return ASAP their high speed modem as soon as possible, conveniently forgetting that they themselves had wrongfully had breached my ISP contract, and also that they had falsely refused to refund me for an  overcharge of an  extra 55 dollars, to me for this  high speed modem that I had never even requested from Bell Sympatico in the first place, and they too easily seem to forget that  fact they Bell Sympatico had falsely also now tried 4 times to withdraw, steal my  money from my bank account even during the time I as supposed to have  free 6 months high speed unlimited internet as well. An agreement they too had falsely breached now too. Now Bell Sympatico’s executive care  Sasha Rollins had  complained to me in writing 3 times back that in the last 18 months I have written 280 letters of rightful complaints to Bell about their inadequate, pretentious, services, even their false breach of their contract obligations. Me I am even next still even rightfully complaining to Bell Sympatico now that I had even firstly to to write any of these 280 letters of complaints to Bell Sympatico, and I as a direct result do even rightfully still do demand full payment of 2500 dollars from Bell Sympatico NOW  for all my wasted time in even having now to do so now as well, plus further payment for the many years I had paid for a high speed internet services but never got one from Bell Sympatico as well. And I rightfully still expect this rightful  2500 dollars payment to me now from Bell Sympatico ASAP AS WELL , and  so also  NEXT  I too will demand an extra 250 dollars in payment  if they do not pay me my 2500 dollars COMPENSATION as soon as possible. And so the Circus with Bell Sympatico continues..

 

MANY BUSINESSES STILL DO FAIL FIRSTLY BECAUSE OF THE POOR , NEGATIVE WAY THEY SEE, DO TREAT  THE CUSTOMERS, AND THEIR EMPLOYEES AS WELL. So sooner or later they still tend to fail as a direct result, face cutbacks, downsizing, serious changes .. SECONDLY THEY USE A FALSE, POOR , NEGATIVE MANAGEMENT STYLE STILL
 

I heard firsthand one teenager saying to another teenager  , “I cannot trust you, you lie to me all the time” and this next had made me reflect upon the reality that the average person lies 3 times in every ten minutes of conversation, and it also reminded me with my past years of undeniable dealing with Bell related to my internet download problems, they too had  lied to me all the time, by not admitting the truth first that there was a problem, nor next honestly admitting the cause of the problem. It seems that spin doctoring, misleading, lying to others is a very major part of not just the lawyers, used car salesmen, but a regular part of the sales, advertising, corporate way of doing business with consumers these days Canada wide now as well.

– raise their prices to try to try to increase their profitability, making themselves more uncompetitive
– cut back on customer services, clearly making matters even worse
– resort to costly, false, misleading advertisements again
– blame their employees , and have a high employee turnover, making matters worse
– blame other facts for their own management failures,
– really do not provide a positive, competitive  service
– generally fail to replace all of the bad top executive, middle managers with good personnel
 
That includes Loblaw, Bell, GM, RCMP, Metro, pastors, governments, Real Estate firms, Car dealerships, Newspapers, TV stations, HOSPITALS, Grocery Chains stores, etc.,

Bad Bell, bad Telus team up to upgrade networks

Bell, Telus team up to upgrade networks  The Gazette  Saturday, October 11 Bell Canada and Telus Communications, two rivals in the wireless business, are teaming up to make their networks faster and more profitable for foreign visitors. The telecom giants will overlay their cellular networks with a technology called high speed packet access (HSPA), the 3G technology used by Rogers Communications. This will allow the firms to offer popular handsets that only work with the GSM mobile standard. Bell and Telus use the incompatible CDMA technology, which is losing favour around the  The new overlay,  allows for faster data transfers and rich multimedia applications…  Both companies will be able to charge roaming fees for data transfers by foreigners, but not for voice calls. This made one analyst wonder why they will invest in the overlay at all? This is just a basic cover up, smokescreen for the real fact that Bell’s own telephone line, DSL services are in terrible shape, cannot handle most peak loads.. it is an undeniably a poor, bad  dinosaur system, and is why so many past and present Bell customers have been unhappy and why Bell has been capping their system, modifying users profiles too

Big Bad Bell was,  is the sole problem.. the bad Bell technician   came and gone and he refused to look at the problem.. another drive by shooting by Bell.. and what he wanted to replace another good modem and even charge you Acanac for it too? After the technician left my home, my Acanac system which was working  good   I next have had putty network software error aborts  and Shortly  after that it even stopped working period, even the email next.. why? Clearly the Acanac Modems do not do these things,  humans persons at Bell do that. And it is called blackmail, sabotage, false diversions.. Bell bad services are always still unacceptable.
 
The Bell guy, the big complainer,  who came here to my home this morning, he started immediately giving me  really bad attitude problems, he complained about a wrong address, next he said he was allergic to cats and could not come to my home if I had a cat, I do not have any, and next he was looking for false reasons not to do his work clearly. He next  left and did nothing anyway , when I started to ask if he had check the exterior lines, equipment firstly   as promised ,  and when I had also told him I had 9 Bell repairmen in the last year, 9 new modems and the same old Bell periodic problems still too.. for me it was a Bell profiling problem, they keep on making falsely changes on my speed profiles under the guise of Bell DSL improvements.

Look at the unacceptable lies Bell tells me from one day to another..  for the day before on the Phone they Bell told me admittedly it was a Bell equipment problem that need to be dealt with and next day  by phone they concluded it was the Acanac modem without even seeing firsthand the modem even, too.. the technicians from Bell are so lazy they will wrongfully do, say  anything to stop from doing the required work. Do send them Bell a copy of my rightful complaints now as well. Thank you

And I used to think that Politicians were big liars.. till I had encountered BCE, Bell Sympatico .. by the way Cops, RCMP, Lawyers, realtors, Pastors, judges and their regulating societies too are some of the most immoral, biggest liars  now that I have encountered in my lifetime! 

Did you ever hear of someone advertising a car that could go up  to 500 kmph, and they would give you also unlimited gas to do it, but they still next did not tell you honestly, before you bought the car, or rented it now, that certain serious restrictive conditions would apply, these speeds on the average would be 25kmph and the high speeds they could not be met even 25 percent of the time-  because the racing track could not handle the speeds over half  of the time,  the allotted road, track already was overly congested, and the service mechanics seem to be busy always fixing the car so you could not use it effectively.. 
 
Now well that is exactly the kind of poor , unacceptable services I now have gotten when I got the very poor, inadequate Bell Sympatico high speed internet services.. for 75 percent of the time, during 5 months of the year Bell did not keep it’s promises to me, did not provide me with a steady, high speed, internet service.. as far as their unlimited downloads, they capped the download by as much as 90 percent almost all of the weekends, evenings without telling me now too.. and when I complain about it to them they replied as far as they Bell were concerned I had gotten adequate service from them.. what Bull , crap response was that?
 
Bell was one of the worst firms I dealt with in my lifetime.. Buyer beware of them always, they are never likely to change..

The Justifiable Consumer uproar in Canada

 

 I have sent many letters to the useless Minister of Industry, Consumer affairs,  Jim Prentice MP   CorrespondenceMinister@ic.gc.ca  and when I next phoned them in Ottawa and I HAD RECENTLY asked about a decent reply to my many letters, they said they do not know where they are,  and for me to mail them again TO THEM.. RATHER ask them to read them on the net too then for they are there as well!! Let them RE read this too..

 

Stephen Harper is a hit when viewed from afar Calgary Herald,  Canada –  From a close-up perspective, the Conservative government has put in a fairly credible, largely scandal-free performance since the election in 2006 ????????????????????? Not true!
 
The MP Stephen Harper, he is nice from far but far from nice, as we all know also that he lies, lied, had broken most of his re-election promises, which the Conservative Ostriches in Alberta would now have us falsely try to deny, and even have us wrongfully  to become liars like them now too…  even denying Harper’s and the Conservative promises of full openness, transparency ,  accountability and not to hire any conservative friends, etc,… to be different than the other parties now too.. not be merely another  bullies, bashers, liars, slanderers, living high on the hog, alcoholics, etc,..

Tories appoint Reform founder Manning to science advisory panel  AND as for Preston Manning ALL HE SEEMS TO LOVE TO TALK ABOUT MONEY THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL.. So the Industry minister even calls on Bell, Telus to explain new text charges- 
 
 

 

This is not even a new issue but an old one. I firstly could not help but notice that a very significant AMOUNT OF YOUNG PEOPLE USE THE iPHONES AND COMPUTERS STILL, and that as a direct result we now have whole generation of users who clearly do strongly hate the federal government as well as the big corporations for allowing them to be abused again and again. A really Smart move??  for the Conservatives and big Corporations   getting young customers too mad at them now even for life. Certainly not a good, or a great marketing practice for  the Conservatives, the Corporations, even for Industry Minister Jim Prentice MP. The whole fiasco, poor past responses, inactions   now still being poorly thought out ironically  applies now even to to the Conservatives and the Industry Minister himself  now as well.. It all clearly falls in the same category as the Conservative Stockwell Day MP  and his past skidoo antics.

“Finally Industry Minister Jim Prentice is calling on the chief executive officers of Bell and Telus to meet with him and explain their decision to charge consumers for incoming text messages. Jim Prentice has sent letters to the heads of the two companies, has said the decision to charge consumers without text bundling packages will hurt consumers. The companies must meet with him before Aug. 8. “While I have no desire to interfere with the day-to-day business decisions of two private companies, I do have a duty as minister of industry to protect the interests of the consuming public when necessary,” Prentice said in a statement. “I believe this was a poorly thought out decision.” Under the Corporations  new plans, customers will be charged 15 cents for each incoming text message, including uninvited spam messages. Previously, customers without text plans were only charged for outgoing messages. Customers with a text messaging rate plan or bundle will not be affected by the new charges.”

Hey  let me shout it all to you again and again, as a taxpayer I too always do openly rightfully expect always a  good government, and I rightfully expect the government to do it’s job, including all of it’s ministers, and I rightfully also expect them always to fully to protect the citizens from the Corporations false misleading advertising, price gouging, price fixing, price collusions, bait and switch approach sales marketing approach, and a lot more. The problem also with the industry minister acting now on the iphone text issue while better late than never, is that the same major ISPs have used the same immoral approach on their Internet services as well and to date nothing was , is being done still about that  wrongfully. and this is also still unacceptable.
 
It is also still  interesting how much of the negative complaints rightfully are even coming from Alberta even from the Industries Minister’s own riding, Province too, right from the heart of Conservative supporter country.
 
Here again is how many Canadian consumers, citizens do see it as far as the iphones mainly. “Only the person who sends the message should be charged plain and simple. Why should I pay because some spammer sent me a text message that I did not want to receive. If I don’t want to answer my phone, I can simply ignore a call, but a text message from a number I don’t recognize is delivered to my phone whether I want it to be or not.”
 
“Don’t think for one minute that hasn’t been their plan all along – announce it at a high rate, with the intent of “backing off” to a lower rate…and then slowly increase that rate over the next few years once there’s a general acceptance of the practice “
 
“I am loathe to trust a company that changes the terms of my agreement mid-contract. I would like to learn how it is that they are allowed to do this, but if I would like to change the particulars of my contract mid agreement, it is not allowed.  I would like to think that if the terms are changed, shouldn’t the principal agreement holder be notified of the changes, otherwise it be nullified?”
 
“Pay twice for one service…..  I’ll charge a fee to them for writing a cheque to pay my bill”
 
“Clearly it is in the best interest of consumers for their elected representatives to voice their concerns on top of those of the consumers when Canadians are being gouged at almost every turn. Bell and Telus clearly to not have the best interests of their customers in mind, rather as always, they are motivated by greed and profit. “

Google goes further; not only should Bell stop picking and choosing which lawful apps to throttle, but the company needs to start upgrading its infrastructure in a serious way. Throttling merely “encourages carriers to build their business model around managing scarcity, rather than developing more abundant capacity.

There is a  public outrage on the part of Canadian consumers following the release of the local pricing plans. Apple the iPhone maker has watched nearly 50,000 of its loyal customers sign an anti-Rogers petition at ruinediphone.com, which has in turn sparked hundreds of potentially damaging reports on the matter by bloggers and members of the mainstream media. 

Canada’s cellphone market is currently dominated by three key players – Bell (TSX:BCE), Telus and Rogers Communications Inc.(TSX:RCI.B).

The petition has attracted attention in Canada and abroad, but it won’t have any effect on Rogers unless consumers follow through with the old-fashioned but simple and reliable strategy for pulling down prices.

If you don’t like the price of an iPhone, don’t buy it. If Rogers finds it has priced itself out of the market, it won’t take a petition to ring in lower prices.

All that is just the beginning of the Customer reactions, war I had written about months ago too.

OTTAWA – Industry Minister Jim Prentice is taking Bell Mobility and Telus Mobility to task for their plans to charge some of their customers for each incoming text message and called both company CEOs to Ottawa to explain their “ill-thought out” decision.

Canada’s phone companies and the federal government itself  have still even failed to understand how the consumers, markets are changing.. so both Bell and Telus get hit by a backlash over new texting prices.  It is not just  about price, it was about the restriction and limitation of the user experiences too. Canadian telecom giants are feeling the heat like never before by  an increasingly savvy and demanding customer against finely tuned telecom incumbents . There is   irony to the fact that as the phone companies roll out new services that allow people to communicate instantly in new ways, their customers are using the technology to express their criticism of how those services are offered and priced.  the government’s plan to keep the wireless industry also unregulated is real crap.  Neither of these rather mostly abusive parties  are about to listen to the Canadian Customers still, it will take more drastic responses..
