Who is Jesus Christ

jesus
God is God of all people. So too, Christ is the Messiah and King of all people.

Firstly Abraham Wasn’t even A Jew .

The “seed” of David was actually prophesied, by the LORD, to righteous Abraham as Abraham’s seed. “22:15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, 22:16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: 22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; 22:18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.” (Genesis 22:15-18 KJV)

Seventeen verses in the New Testament describe Jesus as the “son of David”.

“A record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ THE SON OF DAVID, the son of Abraham: Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers, Judah the father of Perez and Zerah, whose mother was Tamar, Perez the father of Hezron, Hezron the father of Ram, Ram the father of Amminadab, Amminadab the father of Nahshon, Nahshon the father of Salmon, Salmon the father of Boaz, whose mother was Rahab, Boaz the father of Obed, whose mother was Ruth, Obed the father of Jesse, and Jesse the father of King David. David was the father of Solomon, whose mother had been Uriah’s wife, Solomon the father of Rehoboam, Rehoboam the father of Abijah, Abijah the father of Asa, Asa the father of Jehoshaphat, Jehoshaphat the father of Jehoram, Jehoram the father of Uzziah, Uzziah the father of Jotham, Jotham the father of Ahaz, Ahaz the father of Hezekiah, Hezekiah the father of Manasseh, Manasseh the father of Amon, Amon the father of Josiah, and Josiah the father of Jeconiah and his brothers at the time of the exile to Babylon. After the exile to Babylon: Jeconiah was the father of Shealtiel, Shealtiel the father of Zerubbabel, Zerubbabel the father of Abiud, Abiud the father of Eliakim, Eliakim the father of Azor, Azor the father of Zadok, Zadok the father of Akim, Akim the father of Eliud, Eliud the father of Eleazar, Eleazar the father of Matthan, Matthan the father of Jacob, and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ. Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Christ. 11:36 And unto his son will I give one tribe, that David my servant may have a light alway before me in Jerusalem, the city which I have chosen me to put my name there. 11:37 And I will take thee, and thou shalt reign according to all that thy soul desireth, and shalt be king over Israel. 11:38 And it shall be, if thou wilt hearken unto all that I command thee, and wilt walk in my ways, and do that is right in my sight, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David my servant did; that I will be with thee, and build thee a sure house, as I built for David, and will give Israel unto thee. 11:39 And I will for this afflict the seed of David, but not for ever.” (1 Kings 11:36-39 KJV)

33:22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me. Jeremiah 33:

This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, ‘Joseph SON OF DAVID, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit.’” Matthew 1:1-20

“The angel went to her and said, ‘Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.’ Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of HIS FATHER DAVID, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.’ ‘How will this be,’ Mary asked the angel, ‘since I am a virgin?’ The angel answered, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.’” Luke 1:28-35

Romans 1: 3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; 4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Joseph was not the father of Jesus; God was. Jesus is the human aspect of the offspring of David. Before that, Jesus was spirit. As the Son of God in spirit form, Jesus created all things John 1: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Jesus created all things, including humanity, as one of the persons of the Godhead before He was flesh and blood. It was only after Mary gave birth to Him that Jesus became flesh and blood. Jesus truly had a human ancestry from his mother’s side which linked him to King David and to the Patriarchs:

The Messianic prophecies foretold of Jesus the Son of God as coming in the flesh, as the offspring of a woman. So Jesus, the Word, became flesh John 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not. 12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

“Then one of the elders said to me, ‘Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe OF JUDAH, THE ROOT OF DAVID, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.’” Revelation 5:5

Revelation 22:16, I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

“Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (that is, the Son of Timaeus), was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, ‘Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!’ Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, ‘Son of David, have mercy on me!’” Mark 10:46-48

“David said about him: ‘I saw the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will live in hope, because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay. You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.’ Brothers, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day. But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place ONE OF HIS DESCENDANTS on his throne. Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay.” Acts 2:25-31

“Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel …” 2 Timothy 2:8

Galatians 3:16 Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed He does not say, “And to seeds,” as referring to many, but rather to one, “And to your seed,” that is, Christ.

Romans 4:13 For the promise that Abraham would be heir of the world was not made to him and his descendants through the Law, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.

Galatians 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. 23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed. 24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. 25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. 26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Galatians 3: 7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. 8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. 9 So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham. 10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. 12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. 15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto. 16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Hebrews 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel. 25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:

Acts 3:25 And you are sons of the prophets and of the covenant God made with your fathers, when He said to Abraham, ‘Through your offspring all the families of the earth will be blessed.’

1 Corinthians 3:23 and you belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.

Galatians 4:28 Now you, brothers, like Isaac, are children of the promise.

Ephesians 3:6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 4:7,28 Why you are no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir

Revelation 21:7 He that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, …

2 Timothy 2:7-11 Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in everything. 8 Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, descendant of David, according to my gospel, 9 for which I suffer hardship even to imprisonment as a criminal; but the word of God is not imprisoned. 10 For this reason I endure all things for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory. 11 It is a trustworthy statement: For if we died with Him, we will also live with Him.

The scriptures bear abundant testimony that Jesus Christ is God.  . His name is  not  Yeshua,  we call Him Jesus. The Bible nowhere commands us to only speak or write His name in Hebrew .    When the message of the gospel was being proclaimed to the Jews on the Day of Pentecost, the apostles spoke in the languages of the “Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene” (Acts 2:9–10). In the power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus was made known to every language group in a way they could readily understand  The command is to “call on the name of the Lord,” Jesus with the promise that we “shall be saved” (Acts 2:21Joel 2:32)

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD was manifest in the FLESH, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, BELIEVED ON in the world, RECEIVED UP into glory.” 1 Timothy 3:16

“But unto the SON he saith, ‘Thy throne, O GOD, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom’…And, ‘Thou, LORD, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands.'” Hebrews 1:8, 10

“I and my Father are ONE.” Jesus Christ, John 10:30

“…CHRIST JESUS…being in the FORM OF GOD, thought it not robbery to be EQUAL WITH GOD: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.” Philippians 2:5-8

“For there are three that bear record in heaven, the FATHER, THE WORD, AND THE HOLY GHOST: and THESE THREE ARE ONE.” 1 John 5:7

“Hereby perceive we the love of GOD, because he LAID DOWN HIS LIFE for us… 1 John 3:16

“And they stoned Stephen, calling upon GOD, and saying, LORD JESUS, receive my spirit.” Acts 7:59

“For unto us A CHILD IS BORN, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

“And Thomas answered and said unto him [JESUS], My Lord and MY GOD.” John 20:28

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH, AND DWELT AMONG US, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John 1:1-4, 14

“Philip saith unto him, ‘Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.’ Jesus saith unto him, ‘Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me Philip? HE THAT HATH SEEN ME HATH SEEN THE FATHER; and how sayest thou then, ‘Shew us the Father?”” John 14:8-9

“…CHRIST, who is the IMAGE OF GOD…” II Corinthians 4:4

“…glory of GOD in the FACE OF JESUS CHRIST.” II Corinthians 4:6

“GOD…hath in these last days spoken unto us by his SON…who being the brightness of his glory, and the EXPRESS IMAGE OF HIS PERSON…” Hebrews 1:1-3

Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
1:15 WHO IS THE IMAGE OF THE INVISIBLE GOD, the firstborn* of every creature:
1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;

Mat 13:19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received SEED by the way side.

John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. 37 I know that ye are Abraham’s SEED ; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

The Bible, one of the best reliable sources, proof that  Jesus is God

.
The Bible, which is the earliest and most historically reliable source, actually says Jesus is God, It discusses Jesus and His identity. “700 years before the life of Christ, to the Old Testament book of Isaiah. Divine Messiah predicted in the Old Testament. Isaiah 7:14 “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.”1

“Immanuel” literally means: “God with us.” See also Matthew 1:23 . Jesus was “God with us.”

This Messiah would be born a human son, but have a higher nature. Isaiah 9:6 “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

Jesus himself makes claim about Himself. John 8:58-59 “‘I tell you the truth,’ Jesus answered, ‘before Abraham was born, I am!’ At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.”

This is a powerful double claim from Jesus: first, that He pre-existed His human birth and was actually alive and present (as God) before Abraham; second, that His title was “I am” — which was the same title used for Jehovah God in Exodus 3:14.
.
Another of Jesus’ claims of deity. John 10:30-33 “‘I and the Father are one.’ Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, ‘I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?’ ‘We are not stoning you for any of these,’ replied the Jews, ‘but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.’”

.

Apostle Thomas’ response to the resurrected Jesus. John 20:27-29 “Then He said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.’ Thomas said to him, ‘My Lord and my God!’ Then Jesus told him, ‘Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.’”
.
Paul’s understanding as an apostle and leader of the church. Colossians 1:15-16; 2:9 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. . . . For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form. . .”

.

And in Titus 2:13-14 Paul refers to him as “our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us. . .”

How to deal with the Enemy

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6

devil (1)

Indeed, all who are willing to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.  2 Timothy 3:12

Jesus said, “In truth, I tell you, there is no one who has left behind a house or brothers or sisters or a mother or a father or children or fields for My sake and for the sake of the gospel who will not receive a hundred-fold more in this present time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children – with persecutions – and in the age to come, eternal life.” Mark 10:29-30

MANY BIBLE BELIEVING CHRISTIAN PEOPLE EVEN DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH THE DEVIL, THEY UNDERESTIMATE, NEGLECT HIM WITH NEGATIVE PERSONAL CONSEQUENCES.

“The world that Adam and Eve entered after their expulsion from the garden of Eden could not have been more different from the perfect environment they had so recently taken for granted. Instead of abundant prosperity, ready at hand, they had entered a world of limitation, shortage and scarcity. Instead of a world where all their needs were instantly provided for without any effort on their part, back-breaking toil was now necessary for survival, and uncertainty for the future entered into the equation. Life was now a matter of pain, sweat, tears and trouble. Our first parents would also now experience for the first time the full gamut of destructive and sinful emotions, including fear, jealousy and hostility. The domestic tranquility that had reigned in Eden as a matter of course would now be infected by anger, frustration, bitterness and resentment. Their is no doubt that the Lord God had not visited upon them a swift and fiery judgment, Adam and Eve would have been anything but comforted by the harsh realities of the new world east of Eden into which they were forced following their eviction from the garden. This, next assuredly, was no paradise. Life was no longer wonderful, especially in contrast to the bounty so recently lost. Everything was now flawed, and strangely unsatisfying. The pain, the privation, the decay and corruption – and more than the anything else the absence of God – must have driven home the contrast to Eden. this is not a paradise designed by God for our happiness and pleasure.

On the contrary, this is the devil’s world. Satan’s world now of deep unhappiness is essentially corrupt is a truism evident at life’s every turn. Everything decays. Nothing good lasts. Sin and evil are ubiquitous. Only God is truly meaningful here on earth, if we would but search for Him. Only Jesus Christ offers a solution to the futility of life and the inevitability of death, if only we would believe in Him. We wait next for something better as homeless wanderers in a world which finds our perspective and our hope worthless, even idiotic. But by our faith and the actions that faith produces, we show the world that we are not of it, we do not love it, and acknowledge that we have no true part in it – except for the God who is the focus and the object of our love all the days of our sojourning here in the devil’s inhospitable desert (cf. 1Chron.29:15; Ps.23:1-6; 39:12; 63:1; 84:5-7; 119:19; Heb.11:37-38; 11:13-16; 13:13-14; 1Pet.1:1; 2:11).”

The race is not to the swift, or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise, or wealth to the brilliant, or favor to the learned, but time and chance happen to them all. Ecclesiastes 9:11

Moreover, no man knows when his hour will come: As fish are caught in a cruel net, or birds are taken in a snare, so men are trapped by evil times that fall unexpectedly upon them.  Ecclesiastes 9:12

Don’t stock up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and corrosion eat them away and where thieves dig through and steal them. But stock up treasures for yourselves in heaven, where neither moth nor corrosion eat them away and where thieves neither dig through nor steal them. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21

Man is a mere phantom as he goes to and fro: He bustles about, but only in vain; he heaps up wealth, not knowing who will get it. Psalm 39:6

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you”. Hebrews 13:5

19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. 22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. 23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. 25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.  Matthew 6

Then I realized that it is good and proper for a man to eat and drink, and to find satisfaction in his toilsome labor under the sun during the few days of life God has given him – for this is his lot. Moreover, when God gives any man wealth and possessions, and enables him to enjoy (lit. eat) them, to accept his lot and be happy in his work – this is a gift of God. He seldom reflects on the days of his life, because God keeps him occupied with gladness of heart. Ecclesiastes 5:18-21

Christians  avoid a pair of assumptions which are equally dangerous: 1) that affluence is necessarily a sign that God is blessing us, and therefore, if we are wealthy, that we must be doing just fine in our spiritual lives.   It would be a mistake, therefore, to assume that affluence is any indication of spiritual maturity.

2) that the result of spiritual growth and a prosperous relationship with God is necessarily material wealth (i.e., the “prosperity gospel”). In fact, the opposite effect is certainly not without precedent, that is, the spiritually mature encountering greater testing on this score (e.g., consider Job’s trials, or Elijah’s privations).

Morbid over-emphasis on material prosperity has always been an occupational hazard of the human race in general, and,  a threat to Christian spiritual growth.

I know your deeds, that you are neither hot nor cold. Would that you were cold or hot. But as it is, since you are tepid, and neither hot nor cold, I am on the point of vomiting you out of my mouth. For you say [to yourself], “I am rich, and have become wealthy and have no need [of anything]!” But you do not realize that you are the one who is wretched and pitiful and poor and blind and naked. So my advice to you is to buy gold from Me that has been refined in the fire (so that you may become rich), and white clothing (so that you may be [properly] dressed and not have your shameful nakedness exposed), and medicinal salve to treat your eyes (so that you may see [the situation accurately]). Revelation 3:15-18

But whatever I had gained [in my former godless life], compared to Christ I have come to consider these things as losses. Indeed, I consider everything to be a loss compared to the surpassing importance of knowing Jesus Christ my Lord, for whose sake I have suffered the loss of everything, and consider [everything I have lost] as garbage, compared to gaining Christ, and being found in Him – not having a personal righteousness [developed] through [following] the [Mosaic] law – but having that righteousness [that comes] through faith in Christ, that righteousness [that comes] from God based on faith. Philippians 3:7-9

“Whenever you try to accomplish anything significant for the Lord, you will face strong opposition. Satan never bothers with half-hearted people who are content with a ho-hum spiritual existence. But if you come on fire for Christ, look out! The name “Satan” means “adversary”; he is committed to opposing God and His people, especially when they are zealous to exalt God’s glory. . As long as you live with one foot in the world, living according to the world’s values and for the world’s goals, Satan won’t trouble you. You can go to church and even pray and read your Bible, and he won’t mind. But the minute you wake up from your spiritual lethargy, shake off the worldly mindset, and commit yourself to radical obedience to Jesus Christ, you will encounter spiritual opposition! ”

devil (12)

Beloved, don’t be amazed at the fiery ordeal of testing you are now undergoing, as if something out of the ordinary were happening to you. But to the degree that you are [truly] participating in Christ’s sufferings, be joyful about it, so that at His glorious revelation, you may also rejoice with great gladness.  1st Peter 4:12-13

Brothers, when you are being beset with all manner of trials, take pains to be joyful. For you should keep in mind that this testing of your faith develops perseverance. So let your perseverance develop fully, that you may become fully mature and entitled to a full reward, having been found lacking in no respect. James 1:2-4

Evil spirits are entities that at some point had a physical body. Unlike evil spirits, demons never had a physical body. They come straight from hell. They are master munipulators. Demons can present themselves however they choose in order to gain the trust of certain individuals. They are very powerful forces to be reckoned with. Demons can possess an individual, which means they can completely take over the person and make them do anything they want.

Yes the enemy will oppose you. He will use the anger of others against you or Satan hauls out another tool: Mockery and sarcasm. Satan frequently uses ridicule against those who take a stand for the Lord Or Threats and intimidation. Satan still uses subtle or overt threats and intimidation to oppose Christians. Or discouragement and exhaustion. Some People have lost the initial zeal and they feel like quitting. or Negativism. Or Fear .Satan uses fear to paralyze God’s people and keep them from attempting anything significant for the Lord. How should we respond to such opposition? Keep your mind focused on the Lord.

Know God’s words and apply them.” He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace, which He lavished upon us. In all wisdom and insight He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him with a view to an administration suitable to the fulness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things upon the earth. In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will, to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ should be to the praise of His glory  Ephesians 1:5-12

And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest. But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, in Christ Jesus, in order that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them  Ephesians 2:1-10

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:9 Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in theworld.10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. 11 To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5 :8 -11

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils. . 1 Corinthians 10: 21

You serve God or you serve the devil.

And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.37    Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,38    And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.39    Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.40    Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.41    And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.42    Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand Psalms 106

.

But even all Christians now still do have major problems in life.. for there is a real devil who troubles us personally all of our life and we we are to resist him in the faith. Christ has already defeated Satan.

.

(Mark 16:17 KJV)  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues.

.

When we praise God with the remaining breath in us He will come down and flush the devil out for us and rescue us from the den of lions. God is always for us and with us and every time we’re shut in and there seems to be no way out, we are just to praise God.  Whereas angels attend to prayer, God personally attends to praise (Psalm. 22:3).

Every prayer requires some form of angelic intervention for the answer to be delivered. Prayers are made to God, but the answers are passed down through angels. But praise is superior to prayer. How do I know? Whereas angels attend to prayers, God personally attends to praises; and that makes the difference. When God attends to anything, we can be sure of who wins. Every time  God rises in our favor, the victory is won. Praise is what makes God rise from His holy habitation; it is what triggers off the intervention of the Omnipotent God. And when God steps in, every devil bows out.

.

It’s time to praise God down into every tight issue of our life. When we begin to sing and praise God, He sets ambushment against our enemies (2 Chronicles. 20:22-25). It is praise that makes our battle change hands. God will always take over our battles when we praise Him. God’s word is unchanging:

.

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute on them the written judgment- This honor have all His saints. Praise the LORD! Psalm 149:6-9

.
There is no situation in our life that will take more than praise to bow. This is because praise brings God into any situation, and whatever cannot stop God cannot stop it. Why? When we pray, God answers; but when we praise, He steps in, in all His glory, might, power and awesomeness. If we want to secure God’s company in the midst of any conflict, we must just release ourselves to praise, and He will be there in person. When God comes on the spot, every devil gives way!

.
I will extol You, my God, O King; And I will bless Your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless You, And I will praise Your name forever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; And His greatness is unsearchable. Psalm 145:1-3

.
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD! Psalm 150:6

.
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Most UnGodly persons tend to get seriously depressed

no-alcohol-11

It is an accurate assessment that 80 percent of all persons suffer from having a very poor self worth, a poor self esteem of themselves and they feel guilty, depressed over it, not knowing what to do cause their humanistic endeavors at self improvement tend to fail them.. Millions in the west are so mentally depressed that they try to escape this world of loneliness in alcohol, drugs, perversions and suicide. The world is screaming for help and solutions for a messed up society that has nothing to offer but endless talk shows and online entertainment.

.

Depression is a serious problem it affects them and those around them negatively. It often produces personal negative acts  and most persons initially do not see that they are depressed.

.

MOST PEOPLE ALSO MAKE A SERIOUS ASSUMPTION THAT DOCTORS CAN FULLY TREAT PATIENTS WITH ALL OF THEIR PROBLEMS, AND THE PROBLEM CAN BE REVERSED.. DREAM ON.. ONCE YOU HAVE SERIOUS PROBLEMS YOU TEND TO STILL HAVE THE MANY NEGATIVE SIDE EFFECTS THAT CAN BE PARTIALLY MANAGED BUT NOT ALWAYS ELIMINATED..

.

Depression is a to common sickness? Treatable? Depends on what approach you are taking. Those who are depressed are more likely to exhibit risky behavior with drugs and alcohol, as well as being more likely to attempt suicide. In fact, DEPRESSION  is more associated with a shorter lifespan than the smokers.

.

The standard course of treatment for depression is questionable medication. Often it takes a combination of two or more different medications to mask, control the symptoms, and it is a trial and error approach to find the right combination for each patient. Over one-third of patients don’t get lasting relief from the standard therapies. When medicine has been tried and doesn’t work then generally nothing can help cause doctors are not really dealing with the basic causes of the depression. Depressed people will thus face a hard life.

.

To Help with many person’s medical symptoms of their diseases, depressions too we still do often we may still have to deal with the root causes of the sicknesses too.. including the hypertension, stresses, anxieties, and our past wrong values, ignorance, wrong doings too.

.

No matter what the symptoms are doing nothing about it now next will not help you

.

Personal depression is also related to having a God shaped vacuum in our own life, and from deviating from God, his words in the Bible, God’s will and plan for our life too.
 .
– God is the center of the Universe, and not any man, mankind. Man’s sin includes falsely still doing his own thing, following after mere men instead of God.
 .
– The Bible is the word of God, is God’s complete truth, it is all inspired, written by God himself, and it is still teaches us filly God’s truths that we must know, follow, practice today as well.
 .
– Jesus is God and he undeniably loves each one of us that he died for our sins so we can accept his forgiveness and be with him in Heaven. Everyone can be solely saved by Jesus Christ alone, Jews included, and there is no other way a person can be saved from hell.
 .
Christianity is not a religion but a relationship with a mighty God who is a Savior and everything that His trusting ones need! As a result God’s true children don’t have to accept any negative thing in their bodies, lives or circumstances be it sickness, disease, infirmity, poverty, bondage, lack, oppression or depression. God is more than enough to be all that they need and to deal with each one of their enemies. His word is unchanging:
 .
Many people are not blessed by God because they are part time Christians and not full time Christians.. as one cannot serve 2 masters..
Matthew 6: 24 “No  one can  serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
 .
There is nothing that Jesus Christ, Who is the same yesterday, today and forever, cannot do for those who trust Him including healing a diseased body, a broken heart, a broken relationship or broken homes! Cancer or some terminal sickness, depression, fears, demons, physical infirmities, or financial shortages are not greater than God who has created all things by His word and sustains everything by His word! The One, Who took five barley loaves and two small fish, gave thanks and distributed them to the disciples who then to five thousand men besides women and children, is still a great and wonderful Miracle Worker! And “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God (Luke 18:27).” He is still a God of victory who gives victory and good things to His trusting ones. His word is unchanging:
 .
Apostle Paul tells us about the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. He tells us we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead, who delivered us from so great a death, and does deliver us; in whom we trust that He will still deliver us. In other words we are to trust in a God who doesn’t keep us in sickness, poverty, loss, defeat or depression but brings us through to the other side of plenty, prosperity and victory just like He did for the children of Israel when He miraculous delivered them out of their oppressors and brought them into the Promised Land of plenty! Mind you they were delayed for 40 year due to some rebels and unbelievers!
 .
Almost all demons manifest natural causes. The Greek word for “scorpion” is scorpios which means “scatter” or “to penetrate and put to flight.” Scorpion spirits of fear, depression, manic depression, paranoia, worry, anxiety, suicide, guilt, condemnation, and dementia to name a few, penetrate the mind and cause one to flee from an enemy that they should be chasing. A scorpion’s venom is in its tail just as a hornet. The hornet can put a large man to flight through fear. God sent the “hornet” to drive out the enemy from before the Israelites through fear (Dt.7:20; Josh.24:12; Ex.23:27,28).
 .
Evil spirits live and work in bodies and our flesh provides them with a good habitat. Many Christians are still possessed by a spirit of greed, depression, lust, lying, adultery, pride, arrogance, control, dissension, heresy, and other unclean spirits. If they would only be discerning and deal with these unclean spirits they will find the freedom of life and victory that they never knew.
 .
Jesus taught that he had already bound the strong man (Satan and his demons) and divided the spoils of his house (Lk.11:20-23).Concerning these spoils, Jesus said, “He that gathereth not with me scattereth.” The Greek word for “scattereth” here is scorpizo. If we are not gathering the spoils of Satan’s house, the lost, for God’s kingdom, we will be running from scorpion spirits. We must be vessels of God’s sovereignty to conquer them and set the captives free.
 .
I’m no longer depressed, for the joy of the Lord is my  strength! I have been given the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that He might be glorified. My heart will rejoice in Him! (Nehemiah 8:10, Isaiah 61:3, & Psalm 33:21)
 .
Of course you can expect the devil and his followers to try to mislead you, distract you, turn you away from your seeking God.
 .
One of the benefits from being friends with the Holy Spirit is that He brings real comfort. Yes, God trusting ones obtain joy and gladness as they draw water from the wells of salvation and sorrow and sighing flee away. A wounded spirit inflicts unbearable afflictions, and a broken spirit (sad, worried, stressed, depressed, anxious) causes disease but the Holy Spirit anoints with joy and gladness to give a merry heart which wards off sickness. Yes, the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
 .
The truth is that denial of the Holy Spirit’s  ministry and power of the Holy Spirit is the devil’s  theology along with his other lies now too such as that alcoholics are not responsible for their actions, depression is a chemical imbalance, abortion is ok, and homosexuality is genetic.
 .

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.  Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Ephesians 6:11-13

.

The days of failure, lack, insufficiency, sickness, and depression are over! This is the day that the Lord has made, and marvelous things happen on the day of the Lord. Send now prosperity! Send now victory! Send now blessings! Send now success! Send now miracles, healing and deliverance! I receive it all, and I see myself having it all, now! Everything the Word of God says I have, is mine, and has been since the day Jesus died for me! I am blessed, prosperous, healthy, and rich! And that’s exactly how I see myself!

.

Yes we don’t have to tolerate sickness, diseases, poverty, lack, oppression or depression but we can take authority over it. We can do what God’s word commands us to do;

.

Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me healthy emotions. I declare that negative emotions will not impact my decisions, neither will they dictate my responses to difficult circumstances. I will submit my feelings to You in every situation that I encounter in life. You have given me authority over the power of the enemy, and I declare that nothing shall by any means hurt me, including people and situations that try to negatively influence my emotions. When I feel overwhelmed by life, or troubled by negative emotions, like Jesus, I will pray and keep moving forward. I bind depression, anxiety, worry, fear, doubt, anger, rejection and any other negative emotion that tries to attack my mind. I possess power, love and a sound mind. I thank You, Father, that I walk in peace, joy and the comfort of the Holy Ghost. I have the mind of Christ and my emotions are controlled by the Word of God. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen

 .

Yes prayer makes the impossible possible because we serve the God of the impossible and there is nothing too hard for Him! Through prayer in Jesus name, we can say ‘Let the river of God flow amongst us. Holy Spirit come, move in power and let defeat become victory, crooked be made straight, injustice become justice, wrong become right, poverty become plenty, lack become abundance, negative things become positive things, sickness become health, weakness become strength, curses become blessings, sadness become joy, despair become hope, depression become praise, unbelief become faith, loss become restoration, bondage become redemption, wealth and riches become a reality and mountains be moved into the sea and be no more!’ Yes, because of the name of Jesus and that our faith is not in the wisdom of men but in the power of God we can speak to all the mountains in our lives and tell them to be moved into the sea.

The Bible, one of the best reliable sources, proof that  Jesus is God

earth_

We don’t need to rely solely on the Bible or on any religion to show that God is the eternal Being who created this universe. Why? We can conclude some things about the Creator of this universe by looking at the world around us.

.

The Bible says that God has given us two witnesses so we can know that there is a God.

1.  Witness #1 – Creation
By taking a look at the world around us, we can see that it was designed and created by a supreme Being.“For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.”– Romans 1:20,

2.  Witness #2 – Conscience
The fact that there are universal morals that we all share show that we all have a conscience, and that God is the one who wrote what is right and wrong in our hearts.“They demonstrate that God’s law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right.  And this is the message I proclaim—that the day is coming when God, through Christ Jesus, will judge everyone’s secret life.”– Romans 2:15-16

.

“Archaeology Confirms 50 Real People in the Bible” in the March/April 2014 issue of Biblical Archaeology Review, Purdue University scholar Lawrence Mykytiuk lists 50 figures from the Hebrew Bible who have been confirmed archaeologically. https://www.biblicalarchaeology.org/daily/people-cultures-in-the-bible/people-in-the-bible/50-people-in-the-bible-confirmed-archaeologically/

Is there extra-Biblical evidence … for Jesus’ existence? Tacitus—or more formally, Caius/Gaius (or Publius) Cornelius Tacitus (55/56–c. 118 C.E.)—was a Roman senator, orator and ethnographer, and arguably the best of Roman historians.  ” [N]either human effort nor the emperor’s generosity nor the placating of the gods ended the scandalous belief that the fire had been ordered [by Nero]. Therefore, to put down the rumor, Nero substituted as culprits and punished in the most unusual ways those hated for their shameful acts … whom the crowd called “Chrestians.” The founder of this name, Christ [Christus in Latin], had been executed in the reign of Tiberius by the procurator Pontius Pilate ” Tacitus’s terse statement about “Christus” clearly corroborates the New Testament on certain historical details of Jesus’ death.

The other strong evidence that speaks directly about Jesus as a real person comes from Josephus, a Jewish priest who grew up as an aristocrat in first-century Palestine and ended up living in Rome, supported by the patronage of three successive emperors. ” Being therefore this kind of person [i.e., a heartless Sadducee], Ananus, thinking that he had a favorable opportunity because Festus had died and Albinus was still on his way, called a meeting [literally, “sanhedrin”] of judges and brought into it the brother of Jesus-who-is-called-Messiah … James by name, and some others. He made the accusation that they had transgressed the law, and he handed them over to be stoned”

He made the accusation that they had transgressed the law, and he handed them over to be stoned. ”

We can learn quite a bit about Jesus from Tacitus and Josephus, two famous historians who were not Christian. Almost all the following statements about Jesus, which are asserted in the New Testament, are corroborated or confirmed by the relevant passages in Tacitus and Josephus. These independent historical sources—one a non-Christian Roman and the other Jewish—confirm what we are told in the Gospels:31

1. He existed as a man. The historian Josephus grew up in a priestly family in first-century Palestine and wrote only decades after Jesus’ death. Jesus’ known associates, such as Jesus’ brother James, were his contemporaries. The historical and cultural context was second nature to Josephus. “If any Jewish writer were ever in a position to know about the non-existence of Jesus, it would have been Josephus. His implicit affirmation of the existence of Jesus has been, and still is, the most significant obstacle for those who argue that the extra-Biblical evidence is not probative on this point,” Robert Van Voorst observes.32 And Tacitus was careful enough not to report real executions of nonexistent people.

2. His personal name was Jesus, as Josephus informs us.

3. He was called Christos in Greek, which is a translation of the Hebrew word Messiah, both of which mean “anointed” or “(the) anointed one,” as Josephus states and Tacitus implies, unaware, by reporting, as Romans thought, that his name was Christus.

4. He had a brother named James (Jacob), as Josephus reports.

5. He won over both Jews and “Greeks” (i.e., Gentiles of Hellenistic culture), according to Josephus, although it is anachronistic to say that they were “many” at the end of his life. Large growth in the number of Jesus’ actual followers came only after his death.

6. Jewish leaders of the day expressed unfavorable opinions about him, at least according to some versions of the Testimonium Flavianum.

7. Pilate rendered the decision that he should be executed, as both Tacitus and Josephus state.

8. His execution was specifically by crucifixion, according to Josephus.

9. He was executed during Pontius Pilate’s governorship over Judea (26–36 C.E.), as Josephus implies and Tacitus states, adding that it was during Tiberius’s reign.

Some of Jesus’ followers did not abandon their personal loyalty to him even after his crucifixion but submitted to his teaching. They believed that Jesus later appeared to them alive in accordance with prophecies, most likely those found in the Hebrew Bible. A well-attested link between Jesus and Christians is that Christ, as a term used to identify Jesus, became the basis of the term used to identify his followers: Christians. The Christian movement began in Judea, according to Tacitus. Josephus observes that it continued during the first century. Tacitus deplores the fact that during the second century it had spread as far as Rome.

As far as we know, no ancient person ever seriously argued that Jesus did not exist. Referring to the first several centuries C.E., even a scholar as cautious and thorough as Robert Van Voorst freely observes, “… [N]o pagans and Jews who opposed Christianity denied Jesus’ historicity or even questioned it.”

Non denial of Jesus’ existence is particularly notable in rabbinic writings of those first several centuries C.E.: “… [I]f anyone in the ancient world had a reason to dislike the Christian faith, it was the rabbis. To argue successfully that Jesus never existed but was a creation of early Christians would have been the most effective polemic against Christianity … [Yet] all Jewish sources treated Jesus as a fully historical person … [T]he rabbis … used the real events of Jesus’ life against him” (Van Voorst).35

Thus his birth, ministry and death occasioned claims that his birth was illegitimate and that he performed miracles by evil magic, encouraged apostasy and was justly executed for his own sins. But they do not deny his existence.36

One can label the evidence treated above as documentary (sometimes called literary) or as archaeological. Almost all sources covered above exist in the form of documents that have been copied and preserved over the course of many centuries, rather than excavated in archaeological dig .
https://www.biblicalarchaeology.org/daily/people-cultures-in-the-bible/jesus-historical-jesus/did-jesus-exist/

Few scholars have ever doubted the authenticity of this short account.
.
“The historical evidence for Jesus of Nazareth is both long-established and widespread. “\Within a few decades of his supposed lifetime, he is mentioned by Jewish and Roman historians, as well as by dozens of Christian writings. Compare that with, for example, King Arthur, who supposedly lived around AD 500. The major historical source for events of that time does not even mention Arthur, and he is first referred to 300 or 400 years after he is supposed to have lived. The evidence for Jesus is not limited to later folklore, as are accounts of Arthur. These abundant historical references leave us with little reasonable doubt that Jesus lived and die ”

This was a radical statement coming from a monotheistic Jewish prophet — especially calling a human being “Mighty God”; but one that God fulfilled centuries later in Christ.

A couple hundred years later, but still more than half a millennium before Jesus walked the earth, more was predicted about the Messiah’s divine nature. Daniel 7:13-14 “There before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven . . . He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.”

“Son of Man” was the primary title Jesus used for Himself — and this passage shows that this was a clear and strong claim of deity. And in Mark, the earliest of the four Gospels, He also included the unmistakable phrase, “coming on the clouds of heaven” and applied it to Himself (Mark 14:62). His listeners got the point, refused to believe it, and added it to their reasons to try to kill Him.”

The baby Jesus was worshiped by the Magi. Matthew 2:11 “On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him.

Along with being led to the site where Jesus was born, these Magi were apparently informed by God about Jesus’ divine identity, and so they responded appropriately by worshiping Him.

Jesus accepted worship from His disciples. Matthew 14:32-33 “And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, ‘Truly you are the Son of God.’”

For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. . . . For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form. . .”

.

And in Titus 2:13-14 Paul refers to him as “our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us. . .”

.

When people argue against God’s existence, tell them to exam first Water, The Human Brain, The Eye,  The Complexity of Birth and Life, Nature, The Bible, Jesus.

.

Christianity remains the dominant world religion and continues to grow in many parts of the world. This is no accident. Any true believer can personally attest to how they’ve been changed by the Bible, prayer and their faith in God, a love no non-believer can ever take away. There is so much evidence to support what we believe that we can have confidence and certainty in our relationship with God.

Take it with a grain of salt

salt

All the adds, promises, health claims, advice on the net are to be   taken   with a grain of salt ? “(With) a grain of salt”, (or “a pinch of salt”) is an idiom of the English language, which means to view something with skepticism or not to interpret something literally. Meaning to take something lightly. In Latin the word for salt is the same as the word for wisdom One should to take into consideration the source of the information as possibly unreliable or prone to exaggeration and therefore the information itself should be “seasoned” to adjust for that bias.

One needs to be cautious about believing the information he has received.

Not related to the New Testament

WE

Many people claim the title of Christian without actually believing anything related to Jesus, the New Testament. The world may tell us that sexual  purity doesn’t matter, but God does care about it. The Bible speaks a lot on this subject, such as in 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5. The Bible calls us to reject the world’s approach to love and marriage.

Biblically speaking, lust is always presented as something negative. Lust is about desiring something that is not yours to have. Lust is unhealthy desire. Lust is destructive because acting on it always means violating God’s laws and other peoples rights. In the end, lust leads to our destruction.

Proverbs tells us that, “The righteousness of the upright delivers them, but the treacherous are taken captive by their lust.” And Jesus said that to look at a woman lustfully is to commit adultery with her. Because lust is always negative, we need to learn to distinguish it from those desires that are appropriate and healthy. It is right for a husband and wife to desire one another sexually, but it is wrong to have this desire towards someone you are not married to. You are not entitled to the body of your boy/girlfriend until you have come into the covenant relationship of a sole marriage . Lust it is wrong also when these desires get distorted – when our desire for food becomes gluttony, or our desire for drink drunkenness, or our desire for sleep laziness.

The search for “the one” is often an idolatrous pursuit. If you are looking for someone else to complete you, to fill your life, to be the source of your contentedness, then you will be searching in vain your whole life. And you are placing an unreasonable expectation upon everyone with whom you develop a serious marriage. The “one-flesh” pronouncement by God in the garden of Eden gets lost in the mire of lust and violence. The Bible gives us a great definition and much advice regarding “Love”, There is no reference at all to a “soul mate”. The New Testament sees the woman-as-companion. God never instructs us to seek out a mate.

The most accurate definition of true love is found in John 15:13 ‘Husbands, love your wives’ (Ephesians 5:25) and ‘Husbands … be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect’ (1 Peter 3:7). Mark 10:11-12 tells us who is Biblically eligible for marriage. The book of Proverbs, a wealth of relationship knowledge, has us looking for responsible mates, and ones who know how to handle their money in 31:16. 31:30 informs us that godliness is superior to beauty or a handsome face. 17:19 tells us to shy away from those who quarrel, and 12:18 has us avoiding those with sharp tongues. Finally, 31:10-31 directs us toward the virtuous, for they their price is “far above rubies”.

Society has romanticized the notion of finding your soul mate. Too many people deduce that they didn’t find their “soul mate” after all.  So they seek excitement or solace in the arms of someone else, or they part ways and are once again involved in the quest to fulfill their fantasy of finding the one and only person on this entire planet, who will make them happy . Love is not an emotion; it’s a policy and a commitment that we choose to keep. The ancient world eben on Jesus’s day had a very distorted view of women, sex, and marriage. Prostitution was an essential part of Greek life. The Roman and Jewish ethics were no better. Judaism reverenced neither women nor marriage.

The lie that many are propagating, is that if you do the “right” things, or go to the “right” websites, and/pr believe the “right” verses, God will bring you your match.. no guarantees here.

Maybe you are young and impulsive. It may be those parts of oyur brains that are good at caution haven’t s been switched on yet. Or, in contrast, you may feel those parts keep setting off false alarms so often that you want to take the batteries out. Worse, you go looking for love in a world that is not just imperfect but actually broken, a place in part of selfishness, greed and betrayal. Worse above all still, some of the world’s evil comes out of our own hearts and spills into our relationships.

Always check if the person is a believer who fears God (Proverbs 31:30) and who is biblically eligible for marriage (Mark 10:11-12)? Do they live an upright life? (Proverbs 13:6, 20; 25:28) Are they peaceful, or quarrelsome? (Proverbs 17:19; 29:8) Is this person a hard worker? (Proverbs 13:4; 26:13-15) mpt lazt, not one with unrealistic, false expecations. When you have doubts, face them, don’t bury them.

Do not talk to your pastor and people you respect for their counsel. talk to God instead.God will lead us toward someone, and help us make a wise choice when we seek him in prayer. Seek God and not merely as a way to satisfy your own selfishness. “Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness…” Matthew 6:33, a Christian should not consider any marital union that would not feed this primary relationship with God. You’ll bring great misery into your life if you ignore this God’s help, advice. There are so many hidden land mines in deciding to marry someone such as do you really know well the other persons, or are they lying to you to make a good impression which too often happens.

Every marriage, even the happiest, and some are very happy, sits somewhere on a scale of imperfection. Marriage is incredibly hard work. Wives are called to submit to, respect, and serve their husbands.

The real danger for God’s people in pursuing a spouse is that we will “settle” for the world’s vision of self, love, marriage and even romance, rather than a vision of those things steeped in scripture and rooted in the love of Christ. Biblical love and marriage ask more of us than the world’s selfish pursuit of non-existent perfection. It is very possible to marry the wrong person.

For one thing, believers are commanded to not marry outside of the faith…that is they should not marry an unbeliever because God has said that we are not to be unequally yoked (2 Cor 6). Many have never followed this godly advice and have ended up in a marriage that God never intended for them to be in and heartaches, divorce that resulted. Christian are commanded to stay in the marriage until death do they part for we know that God hates divorce (Mal 2:16; Mark 10:7-9).

Genesis 2:20-25 “But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him. So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said, ‘This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.’ Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. And the man and his wife were both naked and were not ashamed.”

15 Drink water from your own cistern, And fresh water from your own well. 16 Should your springs be dispersed abroad, Streams of water in the streets? 17 Let them be yours alone, And not for strangers with you. 18 Let your fountain be blessed, And rejoice in the wife of your youth. 19 As a loving hind and a graceful doe, Let her breasts satisfy you at all times; Be exhilarated always with her love (Proverbs 5:15-19).

So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe that God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it.”  ~ Colossians 3:14

What is Pornography?

Liberty

The word pornography is composed of two Greek words. The first is porne, meaning “harlot,” which is akin to the word pernanai, meaning “to sell.” The second word is graphein, meaning “to write.” In other words, pornography is literally “the writing of harlots.”
 .
The Greek word porne is used several times in the Bible. In one of these instances, the apostle Paul writes: Do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot [porne] is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. (1 Corinthians 6:15–20)
 .
Because of sin in the world (Rom. 3:23), sex has been misused and abused (Rom. 1:24-25). The three main categories of sin are the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life (1 John 2:16).
 .
“The light of the body is they eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!” (Matt. 6:22-23)
 .
Pornography is addictive (1 Corinthians 6:12; 2 Peter 2:19), and destructive (Proverbs 6:25-28; Ezekiel 20:30; Ephesians 4:19). Porn and erotica are sinful acts of the flesh. Lusting after other people in our minds, which is the essence of pornography, is offensive to God (Matthew 5:28).  The use of pornography is not restricted to men.
 .
Pornography can be the first step on a very slippery slope of addiction,  ever-increasing wickedness and immorality (Romans 6:19). Joseph,  when confronted with temptation, ran away (Genesis 39:12; cf. 2 Timothy 2:22).   “I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman” (Job 31:1). “Clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh” (Romans 13:14).
 .
Porn leads to decrease of one’s self esteem, next it leads to escalation and next to  desensitization.   Porn addiction, as it progresses, commonly  leads to a physical adulterous act with a real person.  In the shadowlands of pornographic imagery, all people exist solely for my pleasure.  Porn is obscene literature or art ”, offensive, lacks  value. It results in a distortion in thinking that weakens a Christian’s ability to relate, function, act godly. sees others only as a sexual object. Your mind is a battlefield .
 .
Ephesians :12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
 .
Hebrews 2:14  Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
 .
Jesus warned His disciples that whoever looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery in his heart (Matthew 5:27–28).
 .
Each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from The Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. (James 1:14–17)
 .
Christians must make no provision for the flesh (Rom. 13:14).
 .
Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
 .
Revelation 2:22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
 .
We choose what we allow to influence our hearts and our daily thoughts.
 .
Paul exhorts the church to “put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and . . . put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.”  Ephesians 4:22–24,
 .
When a group of Pharisees questioned Jesus on the ethics of divorce (Matt. 19:4–6), He articulated a basic standard for the human sexual experience: sexual union is to be heterosexual (“He made them male and female”), independent (“a man shall leave father and mother”), and monogamous (“one flesh”).   The benefits of a “one-flesh” union are confirmed elsewhere in Scripture.
 .
Paul added that within the sanctity of a marriage, a monogamous and permanent commitment, husband and wife are to attend to each other’s sexual needs (1 Cor. 7:4–5) and reserve their sexual energies for each other, thus preserving the uniqueness of their bond and avoiding moral transgressions (1 Cor. 7:2).
.
A cursory look at Old and New Testament figures confirms the wisdom of monogamy and the chaos introduced by infidelity, polygamy, or loss of sexual control, all of which play key roles in some of the Bible’s greatest tragedies. Polygamy is not found or approved  in the New Testament.
 .
The Holy Spirit works in the lives of  Christians and empowers them to begin changing as their sinful burdens are released by the power of God’s forgiveness for their sins.
 .
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
 .
Jesus began His public ministry by announcing He had come, among other things, to set captives free (Luke 4:18); and Apostle Paul asserted that full liberty is what God has called us to, that Christian liberty should be protected, and that any bondage is to be avoided (Gal. 5:1, 13). Paul puts a great value on personal freedom and condemns anything that restricts or prohibits a person from reaching his or her God-given potential. Addiction, a dependence on a certain behavior or experience  is sinful.
