I was reminded by these verses how what we often do read, hear is mostly lies, on the interent, TV and radio.. lies because at the most often they are just half truths.. just a part of the story.
Believe it or not. I do not write freely on the net cause I want to, or to become rich or famous,
in reality I would rather be doing something else but I write cause God told me to write…
even cause there are mostly false prophets on the net and elsewhere..
even false preacher who falsely are uplifting self and not Jesus,
with mostly hidden agendas too, getting your money!

We live in an era of too much information; an era wherein anyone/everyone can post whatever they want to post on the Internet—unchecked, unverified, unaccountable, unhindered, and unstoppable. Rumors, gossip, baseless accusations, outright lies, fear-mongering, hate rhetoric, hoaxes, slander/libel, and false information now litter the Internet.
So today’s word of advise from me to all of you is: BE CAREFUL!!!
Most tragic is how so-called “Christians” are contributing to this proliferation of misinformation and disinformation throughout cyberspace. It’s almost beyond belief that individuals supposedly indwelt by the Holy Spirit could be partakers of such activity. But the facts show that a significant number of “Christian” blogs & websites have indeed become dedicated to attacking others; more specifically, dedicated to attacking other Christians!
And such attacks are not just limited to simple assaults on other points of view, but penetrate into the realm of questioning another person’s Christianity, misrepresenting the faith of others, and deliberately seeking to destroy the reputation of various public figures (i.e., fellow believers). These persons have actually formed a new “cult” of sorts. This “cult,” which I have termed the “Cult of Online Discernment Ministries (ODMs),” has demonstrated that its real mission/ministry is the destruction of fellow Christians with whom they disagree. Ironically, they do it under the guise of defending the faith against cults and false doctrine via apologetics/discernment.
The result has been a great division within the church—unnecessary division because their attacks are based on things that have NOTHING to do with doctrinal teachings or whether or not a person is in the church. They base their attacks on:
- political views,
- methods of preaching,
- preferred styles of music/dress,
- different perspectives on various non-essentials of the faith,
- positions on eschatology,
- public friendships/associations they enjoy with certain believers/unbelievers
- certain verbiage used to communicate biblical truths
The targets of these Online Discernment Ministries (ODMs) are summarily labeled heretics, false teachers, deceivers, conspiratorial players in some Antichrist scenario, apostates, fake brethren who lead fake churches, compromisers, New Age sympathizers—the list goes on and on. Unfortunately, the way these people/ministries make their charges stick is by use of:
- half-truths,
- false information,
- outright lies,
- faulty reasoning,
- unsubstantiated assumptions,
- quotes taken out of context, and
- manipulation of facts
As a public figure, I myself have been enduring this kind of persecution for years—as have several of my friends and associates in ministry. It’s been discouraging, frustrating, and painful to witness. So, for the sake of all that is good, right, true, just and biblical—don’t believe everything you read on the Internet:
- Test all things, and hold fast to that which is good (1 Thess. 5:21).
- Verify information before you simply believe it.
- Go to the actual sources of isolated quotes that sound damning (they’re often taken out of context).
- Contact, if you can, the person being attacke and ask them for confirmation of what you’ve heard.
And for those of you who, like me, have had unkind/untrue things said about them on the Internet, hang in there. JUDGMENT WILL ONE DAY COME.
I close these word of warning/caution with a quote taken from someone who, in my personal opinion (as a professional apologist for over 15 years), is one of the worst of the worst ODMs. This ODM has posted her attacks repeatedly against God’s people and encourages others to do likewise (very much like Jezebel encouraged false charges to be brought against God’s people, see 1 Kings 21:10). She stated the following in one of her recent posts:
“Technology affords so many opportunities now to communicate with others and the world that can be used for good. It also offers us many new snares and opportunities to sin. . . . [W]e need to be ready to examine ourselves and honestly look at our motives and behavior in light of God’s Word. If we can’t control the temptation a technology brings, we need to do rapid surgery and get rid of it so that Satan does not gain a foothold in our lives. If we can use a technology for God’s glory with a clear conscience, we need to carry on and thank God for the opportunity.”
Indeed. I couldn’t agree more with this individual. Now, let us all pray that such people will begin following their own words of counsel and in so doing, not only avoid hypocrisy, but also avert God’s judgment and God’s chastisement in their lives.
(Note: Not all websites/blogs committed to offering discernment/apologetics information is included in this category of Online Discernment Ministries. I am exclusively applying that term to a very specific kind of apologetic/discernment organization/person that is active on the Internet. These types of persons/organizations are more akin to witch-hunters than professional apologists or even lay/responsible apologists.)

We are often warned to still be on guard against false prophets; they come to us looking like sheep on the outside; but on the inside they are really like wild wolves. On the net now too… and one way I often recognize that the devil is speaking, is the clear abscence of love.. the demonic presentation is cold, icy cold. . where the post clearly is based on the projection of self-righteousness, mistrust, suspicion, and fear. Almost since my first job after graduating from university I had learned that generally most people still are not to be trusted, they always do need to be supervised, and corruption still exists in construction, universities, municipalities, governments, corporations, amongst professionals and politicians as well. Here is what I know for sure in Canada that the proper policing, management , supervision human rights commissions are a real fact of life, in our society, in schools, life, in churches, governments, commerce, institutions, civil and public services, professional services too, and elsewhere, even on the net, for you will always have those 30 percent at least of the persons who will try to cheat, lie , steal, bend the rules, falsely believe they are above the laws. Self regulation alone is too often pretentious, farcical, often not applied as well. That applies especially to the professionals, civil and public services, police, municipalities, politicians, pastors now as well.
You can fool most of the people most of the time, some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all the time.. nevertheless a good name is worth more than any silver or gold you acquire, and a bad name is disrespected even after the person’s death. One of the most surprising things to me in real life was to witness, experience. and many times now too, that the real bad, immoral con men, liars, thieves, fakers, imposters, pretenders do often like to be associated with a Christian Church .. and can hold positions as Pastors, elders now too..
One of many real life examples, from my childhood days in my local Church I had now encountered a fellow evangelical church attendee, who next years later was eventually arrested for possession of stolen property and for a time went to prison for it. It now next was of course a shock to hear next that this same person years later when he left prison had became an ordained evangelical Pastor. A shock cause there was no real evidence in fact that he had even changed.. Now decades later the same person now claimed to be a chaplain, visiting sailors on ships, and was supposedly conducting church services. The same person had become the owner of various store buildings and apartments, and he also owned and ran an antique shop as well. I next happened to rent one of the apartments from him as well. Upon which I clearly had discovered, often had witnessed that he still was a fake, for he now also was involved in tax evasions, welfare fraud as well. He used his position as a Church chaplain to buy medals, uniform, war souvenirs from visiting port sailors and next to resell them in his antique store for cash even. He in fact had not changed at all, he was still a crook.. So excuse me when now someone claims to me that such and such a person is now a really good person. In reality I rightfully next tend to first check it out firsthand, for rightfully I no longer believe what most people tell me. And especially how good PM Stephen Harper now is too.
One evangelical says the PM Stephen Harper is a good evangelical Christian, and another one says he is not? so who are we really to believe now too?

Just for a start this bluntly is an Ostrich denial, distortion of reality. For we all do know what a man really believes by what he does, not what he says, so if he cheats, lies, steals, slanders, discriminates, shows false partiality, abuses others then that is what he is.. Harper’s own Christian Missionary Alliance you must be born again Church itself is not a moderate one when they are one of the few Churches that do these days proclaim Healing to be now a daily, divine Christian right and also attaining personal holiness, sanctification by the Holy Spirit too..
And what the lying spin doctors would try to say Harper was not a basic self proclaiming fundamental evangelical ? get real now.. who are you lying too? But to yourself mainly.. How absurd for anyone now even to deny this that Harper has many fundamental evangelical values even confirmed this by Harper now appointing court judges who hold his religious values.. that was why he supports family values too, Harper is against abortion, gays, bad drug usage as well.. but what was surprising is he Harper undeniably buys alcohol for others.. playboy next too? So no this is not an acceptable evangelical trait for sure.
But since I too have attended his Christian and Missionary Alliance Church ( actually a Corporation) I am not surprised they also are far from perfect, they also do do have a lot of non Christian practices like Harper does too, such as they do also lie, despise poor people, also natives, immigrants, discriminate and are racists, bigots, show false partiality, like to give good jobs to their friends as well.. They too are a Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde now. PM Stephen Harper has fundamental values when it comes to dealing with others but has liberal values when it comes to dealing with himself and his own colleagues.. Transparency, accountability, openness are more of Stephen Harper ONGOING LIES NOW TOO.
Now maybe for the ignorant who do not know what a fundamental Evangelical culture is like, but since I went even to Christian and Missionary Alliance Church church for 8 years too I know what they believe in the WASP, sexiest, chauvinistic Alliance church,( very unlike the Baptist Church too) actually a Corporation, run by the district superintended and not managed or owned by the local congregation even, a Church that despises the poor and needy persons, also racists, also despises natives not just new immigrants.. and this is no ordinary fundamental Christian church, for it is not accepted by the majority of Christians, who in fact do not tend to know that this so called church even exists or what they basically believes, so the majority of Christians, fundamental evangelical Christians too, they do not really believe the Alliance Church as having their similar Christian values now as well even.. Also fundament evangelicals as opposed to Catholics, Anglicans too, are abstainers, do not drink alcohol, which Harper clearly and undeniably does, so here too he PM Stephen Harper now even personally does not even practice the basic tenet of the evangelical Christian faith too. The Alliance Church, Jesus as Savior, Sanctifier, Deliverer, Healer, Coming King, does not have a main doctrinal statement now of helping the poor people (Gal 2:10 KJV) Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.
